VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Lécuyer Cult [Final Chapter] [SALR Games]

I imagine I'm supposed to be kind considering this is one of SALR's earlier games.

But man! I'm glad I zoomed through. I bet I missed a lot of context. Like how heavily the girls might be on birth control or if the mc is reproductively impotent (until the clone ending) as well as personally impotent.

This is bad! Like sure you get the sex you want. Your mc is in a sex cult with an initially unreasonably power tripping stand in cult leader. So chicks throw themselves at him. And graphics are okay.

However the story is bad. The mc will forgive genuinely serious offenses from girls because they're LIs. But not others.

Example:
The MCs mother orders someone to kill him. She gets forgiven even though she decided to cross the line of no return.
The MCs brother did that to and was not forgiven. Yes I know you can choose not to kill him. But he's not forgiven regardless of how he dies.
You might say "but wait! The brother actually killed the gf while the mother had someone else dirty their hands!" Po-ta-toe poh-tah-toe.

Work tells the MCs mother to neglect her family. So she does.
Work tells the MC's brother to take the MC's girlfriend away even if he has to kill her. So he does.
Are the employers influential enough that they probably couldn't afford to escape away or take command of their own life every now and then? It appeared so and they appeared petty enough to do it.
However both decided to act like their acts to alienate or mistreat family were their own choice. Sure this is sometimes a coping mechanism or a let my comeuppance give me what I deserve. Still terrible for any redemption or pretense of any persisting familiar bond

You don't get to reject the mother so she is forgiven. Hell! Even the person who ordered the death of the MCs gf gets forgiven. It's messed up that she gets the mc to fall for her. Then he introduced his late gf's father to her as his new girl and she never confessed until he learns about the order. But she's a different person now and she has a reason anyways so "it's fine."

The clone of his friend who was killing those who abused her and maybe innocents involved in her abuse. Forgiving her would be in line with the MC's former actions. But I guess here you needed a chance to not forgive her? Because that's an option. Leads to a different ending. But you can kill her.
Even though she's now a new person just like the forgiven LI.
Also, her time traveling gloves never had a corrupting effect until plot needed one.

Eventually the power tripping stand-in leader is "just an unfortunate and hurting girl looking for her purpose." That's not a quote but quotation fingers. And I suppose the mc gives her purpose.

The story has a lot of plot holes or bad story points.

Apparently the cult liked some orgy thing that actually could be harnessed to time travel instead of just bang all the cult.

The MCs brother seemed to have made his life unbearable even before the murder of his gf. However that's either just a plot that was never developed. Or the mc was so traumatized and scared that he pretended all was good. And this seemed to have been retconed to everything started with that murder followed by beating the mc to a near death.

The MCs girl was the OG. Her clone was not useful to the experiments hence they needed the og. However in the ending with this clone. The clone seems to have been raised believing she was the og. Or the brother implied the gf was alive before you kill him. Then the clone confirms that she and the MCs late gf are not the same person. Different body with the same dna. Then you time skip to 30 years or when the mc is around 50 and skip any and all Prego content as the mc married the clone and had kids with her.

the dev might make a sequel based on this ending or taking from the kill the friends clone who killed her abusers and who's a new person ending.

And I guess somethings are. . .kinda inconsistent? If this mc is the nathaniel in the other game's ending. He became what he claimed he didn't want to become. He made clones of himself and tried to kill them for imperfections and to "restore balance." This is unlike other games where former mc's just become a better badass while still being the character you liked and made him become in his game.


I'm glad I skipped most everything. I was working on fixing up the English and would've shared that when I was done but I no longer have the interest in continuing with this game that has no appeal to me. The ending of another one also was a let down for endings so I'm dropping that too. SALR has improved for sure. I'll give him that. But I think his style and conclusions are hat turns me away. The same way I get rid of games that force you to chose a LI when they were harem all the way to the ending.
I doubt anyone was hoping for a grammar patch (only slightly improved over the current english). I won't be making the ones I started out on. Lost interest in the games.

This game is hilarious. One moment you can be railing your aunt on the couch, the literal next scene is just the both of you standing up, fully clothed and advancing the plot.

what ever i say its not gonna be enough to describe how fun & enjoyable this game is .. i know that there's many other games that has a better graphic quality .. but this game has a lot important things to offer than graphics .. which the other games failed to have

( and for me the graphic in this game is not bad at all .. it gives you all you need any way with HD content .. but there's some spoiled kids in this life they just like to nitpicking & demanding .. they don't want simplicity in things )

any way .. here is some of the best things you may find in this game :

1- characters .. sexy .. chubby .. horny .. attractive .. and lovable ( the good thing which im really happy about is that there is some boys around in the story ) to make it realistic & entertaining story .. unlike some games where u can only find girls around magically and you the only 1 lucky bastard ( like in paradise ) & talking with only girls for 17 hours .. so i think its nice to have a break & get a friendly chat with some fellow men from time to time .

2- story .. its really entertaining & rich story that will take you deep in the hole & Transfer you from a problem to another .. with even a sensitive & dramatic conversation some times .. and to romantic .. then to funny situations .. and keeps you excited to what will happened next

3- content & choices .. its 1 of the best games in this web that has contents .. and he wont keep you so long ( until you get cold ) before he drops you to the next lewd situation even in the middle of the problems .. and the choices are not gonna effect or prevent you from fucking all the girls in the game .. its only gonna delay or stops you for awhile or it will take some scenes away .. but you will not lose the girl forever .. which im so happy about at least you wont need to regret your choices much later and reload the save again.

4- side characters .. what makes this game unique is that you actually have alot of models & side characters .. and this is a great thing & its really hard to find in other lazy games .. that has only 3 - 5 girls & the same faces to focus on the whole time .. you may ask why is that a great thing ? well .. first of all it will help the game to have more content without actually a repetitive sex with the same few girls over & over until you get sick of her .. and you will have multiple choices that could match many type of tastes .. it will also help the game to avoid the blue-ball & teasing nonsense that the other games keep doing in the beginning of the story for many days of walkthough until you reach middle of the game .. the side characters can keep entertain you until you get the main characters in bed later on .. and this game does it perfectly .. you gonna have a content even from the first 5 minutes of the game as a worm up.

in conclusion :
this game is how porn games should really be .. and it was not made for the sake of milking the fans for years like what others do with endless ending .. and most of all it will not keep you waiting & humiliate you just to get 1 content in the next update. the only handicap the game has is the spellcheck & the grammatical mistakes in the words .. that's it .. yet its still readable , playable & enjoyable

This game is about some back story about cult or something (more interfering than enjoyable) and also about fucking every girl you see. It would be fine with me, if the graphics would look better. This look horrible, bad working with the colours. The characters dont look very apppealing. Bright site are the animations which are not bad.

SALR GAMES is a BEAST!!! I really enjoyed playing yhis game. The animations are incredible, and the models are very attractive. I love the attention to detail, Lingerie, HIGH HEELS especially! The angles and perspectives of the love scenes are really good. I've never really seen anything like it. I wish there were footjobs tho, lol

Well in terms of fappable content, this game has the highest amount of content I have ever seen in a VN type game. In terms of story, it is confusing and characters come across as horny and playersexual. But one piece of story that I like was the last choice, should you give in to revenge or go for forgiveness? That was a good piece of writing in the confusing plot.
And this game desperately needs a gallery. I don't know why a gallery hasn't been created for this game. It would be a huge galelry.

I was pretty hyped for this one tbh. While flawed, I did enjoy the previous game, Family At Home. The dialogue could use a lot of work, but the intrigue was there, and the story was quite compelling. The Lecuyer Cult is just disappointing. It has a lot of sex aaaaand... that's pretty much it. I liked the models, but the intrigue was not here, and everything around the cult, the characters felt pretty uninteresting, and it's all brought down by pretty dry and boring dialogue. I think cutting the amount of characters by half and fleshing them out would have made for a better experience.

I do hope that for the next game, the dev will hire a writer to help them convey their stories in a better way, cuz I do want them to succeed.

Pro: consistent updates, shorter dialogues, enough H-scenes, reasonably good looking models.
Not so nice: the renders are rushed, the story is average, MC is quite boring. English gets confusing sometimes.
I don't like many choices in VNs, so I'm not bothered by the small number of choices here.

Overall, rushing the renders is what ruined this game for me.

I went into this thinking that it was going to be a masterpiece of story and render. How wrong I was.

Look up ANY video on PornHub and I guarantee you that what you find has a better story and plot line than this "game".

I sadly can't give this game a higher score.
In conclusion, I unfortunately can't recommend this game to anyone. Some of the girls can offer some good eye candy with how pretty they are (Clara, Aadya, Abril and Venus pre-redesign) but that's pretty much all this game has to offer. The sexual content is below average and the story isn't worth it. Maybe I could recommend this game based solely on the sex scenes if the animations looped properly and the porn audio wasn't so bad, but as it stands, there's no reason to play this.

I am now writing this for the third time, because this website deletes everything if you click away... Anyway, this story is awful. Every decision made by every character makes absolutely no sense. On top of that, the translation quality changes each release and is frankly unacceptable. When I started writing this, I hadn't finished the whole story, and I was gonna go with 2 stars. But as the story went on I liked this even less, and it became very apparent that nothing was going to improve. There is only ONE decision that matters in this thing, at the very end to shoot or not. And even then getting to that point makes no sense.

This story starts with the cult leader talking cryptically to his assistant about inviting you, the MC, to some event at the cult for a month. Then it cuts to you having sex with some girl that never appears again and the whole time you're talking to her about her brother. Already unappealing and strange right there. Then your aunt comes to your house looking for your dad, which later on you learn you DON'T EVEN LIVE WITH YOUR FATHER. So that makes no sense. And she hates you for no explained reason, and you end up having sex with her. In the beginning MC is set up to be a little asshole that uses and fucks girls, but not at all how it goes. To get to the point, I'll summarize the story first, then air my grievances after.

Essentially, all the problems in this game revolve around something called The Butterfly Project which was just some thing that cloned women to be sex slaves. It was run by your mother, sort of, and one of the clones got angry and escaped and wanted to kill everyone involved with the project. It is never explained why or for what, but your old girlfriend had "the perfect DNA" for something that is never elaborated on. And if it was, it was in one of the untranslated lines of dialog. Anyway, they study her DNA and say "we can't use a clone it has to be her." Which literally makes no sense, because a clone has THE SAME DNA. And later on It turned out she was a clone the whole time. So your brother kills her and takes her body.

That sends MC into a depressive spiral, I guess. The time between her death and the beginning of the game aren't talked about or shown outside of one flashback with Coral, a girl you were "looking" for. Aka you show up to the cult to find her, don't look any more after the first day, then she just shows up one day, for no reason. The cult's goal was to revive the cult leader's mother, I'm assuming either using cloning from the butterfly project, or what they end up using is time travel. The two women with the solutions both wanted Zara, your friend in the cult, but once again, THEY NEVER SAY WHY NOR DO THEY EVER DO ANYTHING WITH THAT. So I couldn't tell you why.

The only characters that actually matter are Ruby, your mother, Nathaniel, your brother, Ranen, the cult leader's sister, Neferet, the angry clone, and Calirroe, another clone. And even then Ruby's character arc isn't an arc but a trainwreck. She shows up with you at the event and hates you for being a pervert. But then she hated you because you went to live with your dad when they divorced. She even tried to kill you. Her whole involvement is leading the cloning process to bring back Jesabelle. But then one night she tries to kill herself again (she tried to do it after finding your dad cheating on her) because suddenly she feels bad about being mean? Then after that, she has nothing to do with the main story and tries to rekindle her relationship with her kids but then you just end up having sex.

Nathaniel is your brother, that killed your gf, and at first tries to make things right. He says sorry, even tries to get your mom to say sorry. But then when your sister approaches him, he threatens to kill her and one sentence later says "I hope we will be better together." He's all over the place. From villain to lending an olive branch, to villain again constantly. Then when Ruby wants to make him take responsibility for murder he tries to send her to another time, which you interrupt. Then you fight and have the option to kill him and no matter what you choose, later on the game just says you kill him. Then you get a timeskip of TWO MONTHS where you could have solved all of the side stories with three short conversations.

Ranen's whole story is just trying to get her mom back, which is the catalyst for meeting all of these characters. She acts like a villain but gets nicer because you do things for her. Nothing special. Neferet, like I said, is an angry clone trying to kill everyone for some reason she has super powers and gloves that let her travel through time as well. She wants to kill all of the clones and people doing the cloning. But right after she says that, goes back on her convictions and only wants to kill Calirroe because she didn't like that Neferet killed people in self defense. Supposedly because the gloves corrupted her.

Then finally there's Calirroe, she shows up to help you travel through time for Ranen. She was a clone but was meant to be the head scientists dead daughter so she wasn't used and abused. Ultimately, she falls in love with you at first sight for no good reason, is the cause of everyone's problems and I don't get why MC falls for her. There is a brienf love story between you and her. She says she loves you, but you say that you already had your one true love and dont want another relationship, then suddenly you just decide to try dating her. Then you find out she was the one that ordered your brother to kill your girlfriend and killed Ranen's mother, which ISN'T EXPLAINED AT ALL. Just that she did it. And after you learn that she is why Aadya, the gf is dead, you just accept it and move on? Then in the NEXT SCENE she's killed and you want revenge for her? Are you serious?

Can you see why this story is bad? The person to blame for killing the one person you loved is killed and you get mad about it because you had two decent dates with the girl. And the 12 other characters I didn't mention are just receptacles for your penis. There's a side story with Christopher trying to find his sister, who is LITERALLY IN A ROOM DOWN THE HALL. But you don't salve that for another 8 months. And Coral is stuck in a room for 6 months because you don't have a different 3 minute conversation with Ranen. And I'm not the only one who doesn't care about the characters. The writer doesn't either. The names and pronouns are messed up constantly. Ranen gets called "Ramen" more than once, and another character Abril gets called "April" more than her actual name. I'm sure part of it is due to the crappy translation, but it's still unacceptable to sell this as a finished product. And the "True" ending is you killing Neferet because it advertises a next game. That I'm guessing stems off the fact that you find her at the wrong point in time and kill her after she has a kid. Another stupid decision.

I'm sure my synopsis is a little disjointed, but as I said I've tried writing this three times now, so I am not having it. Next time have someone to actually translate the game or at least someone to proofread and edit a machine translation. Even better, don't just drop this and pay someone to do that to this game.

TLDR - The story is bad and there is so much sex to distract you from bad writing. Every time you're about to advance the story or learn anything one of the character stops and shouts "I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO" and runs away. If you just wanna see sex, skip the story and look at the scenes.

The visual are subpar, bad lighting and there is a clear lack of work in the scene compositions.
The texts in the menus are borderline unreadable, and the english version is clearly not clean from its original (probably) spanish.

The girls are diverse, but fall in the repetitive personalities and traits.

I didn't play this game before because of some reviews and i regret it a lot.

What is weird is that the reviews are right about this game, yet it was still very fun to play it.

The story is bad and is full of plot holes, yet it can entertain you.

There are many gramatical errors, but it's readable.

The game also has many problems on the interface, like clicking a button and it just delays to execute, yet is still playable.

There are many bad things about this game and but it's still underrated in my opinion. Why?

1 - The content is very big. How many games have we seen in this forum that it's just not worth to play because it weird? Or it is always on its initial release? Or has almost no content? Content is important to any game and this one has it.

2- There are many sex scenes. And what's better? You don't need a walktrought to play it, nor you have to chose a girl over the other. You choose what you want, without bullshit of following one "path" over the other.

3 - The girls are hot and some are kinky, like the married woman, for example;

4- It is finished, what shows the devs compromise with the players. This is also not the only game that he finished. How many games have we seen that just goes onhold? or abandoned? Just the effort to finish the game is already commendable.

This is just what a porn game needs to have: it is entertaining and has a lot of content without turning into a soap opera or an endless milking machine.

DO NOT FOLLOW THE REVIEWS AND TRY THIS FOR YOURSELF, that is what i recommend.

The dev definitely is productive and puts out content regularly/quickly though the quality is lacking.

The story and graphics are pretty bad. Pretty much every character jumps on the MC within 5 minutes of meeting him. Wouldn't recommend unless you're looking for quick fap material but google would be faster.

I think the game is average... the animations are pretty good and the models are somewhat nice.
The thing about this game is that the dialogues are big because the story is uninteresting to me. Now if someone wants big a**es and big b**bs and don't care about the story-this is the game- , surely it's a quick fap material

The biggest problem with the game is its broken story . I mean wtf at one point Mc is show grieving for his gf and the very next second is fking someone and enjoying . All woman acts as total whores in front of mc (total cliche shit). A mother who wants to kill her son and for what that he chose to live with his dad after the divorce , and leaves to him to die too, yet Mc goes on forgive her as nothing happened only to fck her the next day. Renders are ok , not the best but not bad. Needs some serious rework on its story writing and other aspects.

A great game, with great animations and a surprisingly good plot. It seems to surprise with every update. And luckily updates from this game is frequent. There is a bit of Engrish, but I actually find it funny, and it didn't effect my experience playing.

I recognize my review of the game is based on the begginning mostly as I didn't get to advance much before I was both bored to death and uninterested by what was happening. Characters seem pretty uninteresting and, for a cult game, pretty unmisterious or enigmatic. MC is bland and not too interesting. And game models for characters and backgrounds are pretty terrible as well (what's with those foreheads?). So, all in all, a quick uninstall after the first few scenes failed to give me a reason to give the game any more time on my hard drive.
