VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Lécuyer Cult [Final Chapter] [SALR Games]

Fucking hell. Read people calling this "a nice shut-down the brain and wank" game. If this is shutting down your brain, I don't want to know how dull these people are when their brains are working. Don't get me wrong, the game is not trash, but the writing definitely is. I feel like that is harsh criticism as it seems pretty obvious that the writer is not a native English speaker, but fuck the game is just so tedious to read and play through.

It really is the barest whiff of an excuse to feed your brain animated H scenes, a bit of loose text to tie scene1 to scene 2 to scene3. I will admit that this is all occurring amidst an oddly unique plot which would probably be interesting if the writing through it wasn't just the worst.

The scenes are fine, they're honey select captures. The dev did do a good job creating (or downloading, idk) custom models for both males and females that look unique. It's been a while since I've played honey select, I think all the poses were standard poses.

I'd give this game 2.5 stars if I could, but I can't, and I just really did not enjoy it so I'm going down instead of up. If you like your porn force fed into your brain rapidly and sloppily, this is your game.

-While we have a lot of animation sadly their quality, physics and loop timing was pretty much trash. Espacily loop timing... One of worst loop timings i saw in games... You can clearly see animation start-end point and its literaly aganist of ''loop'' meaning in first place.
-Visual style looks kind of cool but they look lake made for 720p, lots of scene looks pixeliated and weird... And who made MC's hair? What's wrong with his hair? Is he comes from Minecraft Universe? LMAO
-Well... Story is interesting and have potencial but writing is poor...
-There is no development/corruption for girls at all... While im not fan of slownburn games i can say vice versa is pretty much annoying aswell and thats what our game, its literaly mindless fuck feast and thats nearly feels like cheap porn...

When i look screenshots and how much update/content this game gets i was thinking its underrated rare game i have found, but looks like i was wrong... I do not suggest this game if you dont want have quick fap with crappy scenes...

Not a fan of this one. from the outset the MC just fucks everything with little to no resistance or social interaction, I just can't get with that at all.

If you want straight into your porn game this certainly does that but it just couldn't grab my attention.

Wow Wow Wow! Great game! Best graphics and animations i've ever seen with what looks like Honey Select renders? The animations scenes are very detailed and fluid however the only downsides during sex scenes is issues with transitioning between scenes. In certain points during the animations it would just skip over the most important parts. For example the MC and a random woman would be doing missionary then you click next and all of a sudden her back would be covered, or you just see the post creampie.

I would find myself rewinding thinking I accidentally skipped ahead. That was my biggest pet peeve and that would be with the scene transitions and you never get to actually see any orgasms in the actual scene it just skips to the covered face. If the transitions were fixed more fluidly this would be perfect. I also noticed the scenes don't automatically start you have to click twice to transition from scene to scene. One click for going to the next scene and another click to start the animation.

With the second click to start the next animation the scene would be frozen as if starting a video until you click a second time. This was distracting and definitely diminished the experience especially when there's 7 plus animations during a individual sex scene. Besides the scene transition fluidity criticism this is a very well done game overall.

The plot and character development is top notch with lots of sex scenes for those wanting a quick fap. I really like the diversity in personalities as well I would highly recommend this game keep up the good work DEV! Besides the choppy transition during sex scenes/animations I greatly enjoyed the playthrough!

I've gotta talk, not only about the game but also about the author. But let's go by parts.

This game is pretty good, the story telling has improved since his last game, Family at home. (Which i really enjoyed). The animations are still top and the models very varied and unique. The story is entertaining, better than his last work in this aspect. Despite beign a game where you get to the point fast at least you got a slower pace, and that's good. As the only negative i could mention that the changes between scenes and postures are a bit drastic, and that could be improved, for example, by putting a cum animation.

Now let's talk about the author. I've read some comments about that he is going fast with girls, etc. I think that he makes a type of content with that on mind. Not all the games gotta be a slowburn with lines and lines of text till we get to a teasing scene that leaves you blue balled. It isn`t a good or bad aspect, it's just the other side of the coin. There must be both types for different occasions and likes.

Continuing with the author, he works like crazy. I can't think of any developer who creates so much content in such little time (Also with quality). Just counting with the effort he puts into it he deserves 5 stars.

This has been my longest review because i wanted to show my support to this great creator. Wish you the best of luck and i hope that you keep growing and gaining recognition for your hard work. You really desserve it.

Very Good Fap game, loaded with content right off the bat. The girls don't necessarily look alike so models were created individually plus the story is not that bad. If the creator had more resources I bet the game quality would be even higher! Keep it up boss

Not pretty much to say. It's a good game if a few dialogues and a lot's of sex scenes. I believe that in this community there is space for games like this.

The game has one serious backdrop and that is its broken events timeline , at one point he is grieving for his girlfriend and the very next second he is fking a woman , every woman straight goes from talk to fuck as if hey are dying to get laid ,

The updates come quite fast but it would be better if dev takes some more time but focuses more on story progression and events.

If you're in it for a wank, but still want a setup to the scene, then this is the game for you.

I mean the story isn't bad either, it's better than those overly cliche stories you've seen a hundred times or just plain boring 40 hour clickathon fest before you get to the good part.

The animations and models are very nice for the most part, some look awkward, but I can appreciate the effort that was put into making the MC look good, but different from the standard male models in that engine.

EDIT : I have since changed the review from a 4 to a 5 star since I don't see any major flaws with the game, in fact since my first review the game has gotten like 7 updates and the updates get enough content and are on a regular schedule. Definitely deserved 5 star.

Some people point criticism to the loops and I honestly don't see the problem with looping, not everyone can have 360 degree camera spins, different thrust animations, physics collisions systems..etc. It gets the job done plus there are enough scenes to the point where you don't even need to watch a loop for long enough to notice the start to end point.

As for the other major criticism : the plot, I don't really expect much out of an adult game, if you give me something better than the standard pron plot, I won't deduct points, bonus points for a good setup and narrative ofc. I dunno, maybe I'm not just as harsh a critic as some people are.

EDIT 2 : Dropped from 5 stars to 3 stars for making saves incompatible for the final chapter, f ck off.

Very interesting plot with interesting characters. Animations and models are pretty good, better than a lot of other games. The Aunt character is super hot and its really refreshing to see more Aunts in these games, so this automatically gets bonus points.

Finally the dev updates really often and you can tell they care about the game. Definitely worth following or at least giving a try.

People need to rate this game for what it is, a f*ck fest. Don't pay attention to to the "plot", this is turn off your brain fap material with lots of animations. These type of games should be sandbox so the scenes could be repeatable and give a simple way to "build" relationships outside of having a decent story. 4/5 as a result

I didn't expect much, but I got even less. The renders aren't terrible, but they're.. dated? I found myself often trying to count the pixels here and there, which I could have forgiven if not for the terribly disjointed and immersion-breaking story that's trying to be presented here.

I mean look, I get it. Not all of us are here for a deep, branching narrative that makes us think. Some people just want to pop in and then pop off, but I can't excuse this level of lazy writing. Within moments we're presented with a family member, who he "convinces" to give him fellatio by.. telling her to. And she just kind of rolls with it.

This seems to be the pattern with all encounters in this game. You hop somewhere, things happen because they need to in order to push the 'plot' forwards, and often the little creep MC gets his way because no one can refuse him for absolutely no reason.

Needless to say, I didn't get very far in before I gave up and threw it in the bin. I won't say it doesn't have potential, because the information in the thread *was* enough to gain my interest, but as it remains right now, it's just a mediocre game using HS(?) animations with an awfully disjointed, unbelievable story.

good plot , many scenes to enjoy would need only a couple of tweaks to the depth of the story but otherwise its fine , also get frequent updates and the creator is very attentive to what to improve and is very attentive to the game but updating it so fast also makes the story not as detailed How it should be but still achieves its goal

It's not the worst thing ever, but that's the best I can say about it.

The English is not great, and the writing extremely stilted. I'm not sure if that's related or not.

The images are alright, but that's increasingly the norm these days. The scenes themselves kind of jump around and shit just happens for a little bit, and then it's over. The scenes themselves are at best approaching the wrong side of average.

The story... I don't really know. I didn't get far enough to say much about it. It could actually be decent, or it could just be a huge waste of time. But given the rest of the game, I know what I'd bet on. I'm not interested in pushing through it just in case I'm surprised.

Game version: Chapter 2

Probably one of the stupidest stories and gameplay I have ever played on this forums... but the quality animations make it at least enjoyable. The graphical quality of the game isn't even that good, and the MC looks like a 10 year old- Playing a kid is a total turn-off for me.
I guess I will keep following the development of this just for the lewd scenes, that's it

Version Reviewed: Chapter 1 (v0.2)

Overview: A mysterious sex cult has maybe kidnapped someone you care about and you need to get her back.

Story: It's very disjoint and porny in this version. The guy walks into a room, and someone says "hi" and then it cuts to them fucking. Then it cuts to a different scene with like 5 lines of exposition before cutting to another scene where he's fucking someone else. I was having a really hard time following along with the story because it kept taking fuck breaks every 3 minutes.

Gameplay: The first version is pure linear visual novel with no choices for you to make outside of your name. It doesn't even have the common do sex scene/don't do sex scene options that show up in VNs.

Graphics: Honey select but the dev did a very nice job making the ladies look realistic and not the default Honey Select models you've seen a hundred times. There are some animations as well, a few of which are reasonably long. The backgrounds and composition however could use improvement. Nobody casts shadows and some of the textures are really bad.

Conclusion: It's a VN that badly needs a sense of pacing. One good thing is that it is not "lazy guy tries to fuck his mom and sisters", there's some legit crazy stuff in this game. Being a VN there is no grind at all, which is nice. The developer promises that you'll have a bit of choice (even if it is just choosing what order to advance the storylines in) in the next version. All in all the highs and lows balance out and I rate this a solid 3.

A game with lots of sex with good looking models if you are not bothered by the poor writing.

Rated as of Version: "Prologue"

The Visual part of this VN is quite nicely executed, lots of different models, all looking quite nice and lots of animations even though these are at times a looking a little weird from a gravity perspective. However the MC himself looks closer to a 12 year old then an actual relatable character. It really is a Visual Novel at the moment as there are no major choices or any important interactive elements though these are supposedly to be introduced in future updates. There is Spanish language support, if you play in English you might notice, that the double question and exclamation marks remain despite translation. I have also had some trouble with the buttons which tended to not always respond.
The Novel part of this VN is not really a Novel. It is merely a string of seemingly random unmotivated events that unfortunately have neither excitement nor humor to offer the player. Mainly the events consist of the MC being enticed into sex from Minute one. And all of this even though I was quite interested in the plot when I first read the introduction. However this is of course still a very early phase, so who knows which improvements may come.
I wish lots of luck to the developer.

What a gem. Remember to go into settings and changed the language to English. The animations are really good, so are the renders. The only issue is the translation, it feels robotic at times but that can be fixed later.

I see great potential.
