RPGM - Completed - The Legend Of Versyl RELOADED [v1.65] [Kravenar Games]

The game is very bad. Initially I assumed the ratings are being too harsh, but after playing this I am astonished by bad design decisions taken.
The game tries to be unique, but by doing so it fails in so many aspects as the whole UX and gameplay becomes horrible to the player.
Story and plot is somewhat engaging, but because of the horrible design in quests and progression it quickly becomes hard to follow. H-scenes you would need to hunt for and do not happen normally. Overall avoid this game.

I already had played this game before, the original one,this version is the reloaded, i liked the game before and that did not change.

But has content and as a RPG is quite a good game.
A NOTE:for the people who said that the game has no characters, it has characters to party,but you have to explore more of the game maps,and explore sometimes on night time,etc. Its a grindy game, you have to explore,explore and do side quests,if you want to have a bit of fun.
Another Note: For me who played the version who was not reloaded,the game is more exploration and side quests,dont focus on the main quest and encounter the maximun possible of characters, there are some that only apear when your mind control power is strong enough,if my memory is right,there are two. And some secrets of some characters and there are characters who have some secret means to unlock,if you encounter rasyia(the sucubuss on the another world) and you go to the church you begin the game there are some secrets. And some characters who you can unlock if you advance the main story.
JUST KIDDING ITS TRASH AND I COULD NOT EDIT FOR SOME REASONS.

An absolute disgrace and anyone who says otherwise probably hasn't read a book that doesn't include the words "cat" or "hat" in it. If you can guess I played the completed version. I'm not really sure where to begin with what's awful so I'll start with what's okay; I actually didn't have issues with a high encounter rate, I found one thug in the city and that was it. I'm not sure why considering I paid no heed to the warning the game gives. So kudos for that I guess. Second just as is said in the intro you actually can't die to certain enemies, most games would have said that but immediately have enemies you fight have ways to kill you because programming otherwise would be a pain so credit where credit is due.
Now on to the bad and what a ride this will be. The story is utter garbage. First off it makes no sense, you get the power to mind control people and you can't die to mortals., so what do you do with these amazing gifts? Absolutely nothing. You're powers are so irrelevant that if you play the game without doing side content(like I did because I thought this would be like urban demons and would need certain abilities gained later to make progress with characters) then you'll find that your powers aren't used at all and you don't even stay in the human world for very long. Like two quests into the main story and I'm supposed to go to a spirit world. I thought "okay that's a bit early but it's cool I'm sure I'll be back soon" but no, you go that world for like 2 quests then you're off to another world where you conquer a castle and once again do fuck all with it like your powers. I stopped after this because it hit me that the story is on a fast treadmill, meaning going nowhere fast.
On to the characters; lol what characters? There are certainly things in this game but no characters.
Combat; standard, but pretty easy. None of your combat skills cost anything to use so you might as well just spam your special skills.
Abilities: despite being able to mind control the only thing I could ever do is read minds and a vast majority of the time a message would pop up saying "you can't seem to read this entity's mind" and before I quit I had 100 mind control power which should be mentioned, they do nothing as far as I could tell.
That's all I can talk about because I never made it to any CGs, didn't seem worth it.

Shit game, don't play it.

An impressively bad game on all levels.

The story is dumb. You get some super being in you that gives you mind control and proceed to... barely achknowledge this with your only option v 99% of all the npcs being to use it to read minds. No explanation is ever given why you only do this or why you can fuck the ones you can. Its entirely arbitary.

Mind control just seems to give randomated messages like ''dude is horny'' or ''dude is bored'', its an option that exists to make the game seems like it has depth it does not actually has. An extra button to press for no reason.

The sex requires 'mind control points'. Which you grind. Oh boy the grind in this game. Its so fucking pointless. Its clearly and purely designed to try to get people to support a bad game on patreon so they can cheat away intentional bad game design.
Example 1 being mind control points. How do you get them? Inspect bed, meditate. +1. Okay now do it again. it costs nothing and just moves time forward, but time means nothing. So its free. You need 15 levels to do most things, so you are pressing 30 buttons minimum watching the same dialogue box popup to be able to suddenly do these things. Game won't tell you you have enough or anything though, so you could easily overgrind without noticing.

You can work as a teacher. To do so you need to walk through 3 screens to an npc who just sits on his ass, click through a few dialogue boxes, then pick to study from him. You do this until you have enough math, sci or whatever the other one is to teach. How much is that? Who the FUCK knows.
What is the point of teaching? It gives +50 money.
Does money matter? Doesn't seem to.
Does teaching lead to any scenes? Doesn't seem to. But you have no way of knowing this. So you grind. For nothing. Well, I guess, for the ability to then grind for money via this job. For no reason.
Oh and it should be mentioned text is not instant in this game. Its slightly delayed. It adds up.

And none of the characters feel like characters, not even the mc, barely anyone has anything to say beyond 'hey my name is X' and then if lucky you can fuck them via mind control but probably not.

Now let's talk visuals before sex. Its important. The visuals are stock RPG maker assets. Job done.

Now the sex! Really bad 3d renders where no one resembles anyone represented by the stock sprites or stock animu portraits at all. Which just loop the same like 20 frame animation over and over again.
WOWO zowo wowee zowee so glad I grinded for this.
Is this game made to take the piss?
No, its made to take your money. At minimum effort and maximum scumminess from the dev. Everything about it feels lazy. The assets used, the way progression works, the 'writing' (if you can even call it that), the pointless random encounters that seem to exist for no reason, everything.

pros:
+ a lot of (repeated) sex scenes
+ the scenes are animated

cons:
- the graphics quality is maybe 480p..
- text isn't instant
- the storyline is okay, but the writing isn't

Only get this game if you've got nothing else interesting to do and you're willing to deal with (or cheat through) the grind

Just a bad game, ugly sex scenes, you get mugged every 10 steps in a city, the character grow is just spamming commands til they fuck you. The story is somehow generic and non existent.

2 stars only because it has fetishes that maybe some people will like even if poorly done.

The issues in this 'Complete' game. Firstly the random encounter, want one ever 3 steps even in the center of town, we got you there (Dev says use the mouse but you should have fixed this not done a workaround). However even if the random encounters were fine they progress time and you know what that means if your not in the right place and right time, wait untill tomorrow.

Another issue is the lack of a map, two reasons for this are one this games map isn't small, the second is you have lived in this town (as shown by the first conversation in the intro and from the fact that we are told we get into a car crash). Now I know some games don't have maps but those games at least will tell you where the place you want to go is and/or will have told you how to get this information

This is my first review, so bear with me.

Let's start with the positives.
I like the characters and story very much and very much like the sexual interactions.
As a big fan of 18+ RPG games i love the fact that this actually plays like a old school RPG and you are required to grind accordingly.
Love how you can set the roles of multiple characters and choices for some of your personal preferences relating to Fetishes.

Now for the Negatives.
The absurd amount of Random Encounters is insane, sometimes you can't move 10 tiles without being attacked 3 or 4 times(and yes you can counter this by using a chest or spell, but the moment you pick something up you need to do that all over again.)

The game will throw you also in the deep without any helpful guidance at all,(Even dark souls makes more sense).
I am not an expert on RPG'S, but the moment i'm wandering for 2 hours interacting with every possible thing in the world and still not progressing is the moment that my fun goes away.
That could be helped with a helpful guide or WT, but that's unfortunately no where to be found unless you are willing to pay 35 bucks on patreon.

Those 2 factors are destroying my fun with this game.

After hours i finally completed the game.
And although the previous mentioned Downsides of the game are still a huge downside, the rest of the game gave me a little bit of fun and pleasure back.
Enough to edit my 2 * rating to a 3* rating.

i love rpg games where the main character conquers and has a castle etc. like how the party characters have to be found and 'obtained' in order for them to be in the party, game has a lot to do and i can see this go far especially with a good plot like this and all. overall great game, id recommend but thats cause it fits with my tastes. i guess

This is a vast game with expanding quests, worlds, and goals. The characters are realistic and likeable. Everything is well put together, and it has many good surprises and really innovative ideas. This game is just great fun to play.

excellent game so far a bit advise could u put up like a guide to how to open an play it as well for those who are new to downloading and stuff just advice is all thought i share it with u is all don't have to just a suggestion or advice is all but u got 5 stars from me anyway just wanted to share some advice as well but keep up the good work also what are the spy cams for and how u get the queen of middleworld as a consort jw
