HTML - The Mansion [v0.93.5] [Rustlerman]

Don't get me wrong, its a good game with a nice model selection and big enough to enjoy. And because of that it was a big disappointment and frustrating to play. The dev has been told over and over again that there are big problems with the ingame walkthrough, the language and the events don't trigger on time or logically but he simply refuses to address any of these issues.

This game has diametrically opposing features that hinder it. Visually the UI is cleanish, but practicality is out the window when you consider the journal which in my opinion should be the clearest and most concise part of your UI.

This is probably due to the fact that the author of the game is most definitely not natively speaking english. What solidified that for me was the friend who owned the mansion stating "How long has it been since we last encountered each other." Functional but robotic.

The pictures are well chosen, even past the stilted dialogue I wanted to continue. Unfortunately I play solely on Joiplay and could not scroll down once I got into town which effectively blocked the rest of the game from me.

Things this game has going for it:
-Visuals: There are clear separations between dialogue and descriptions (you won't find 600 word wall texts), dialogue boxes look nice, imagery is properly placed and good quality.
-Character individualization: I've seen it done in different ways, here it's highly centered around the actress/model, I never encountered a scene where I didn't know who each person was.
Things it's lacking:
-Writing: The story isn't too appealing, it's not just an excuse to put porn vids/gifs around it, but it's not something you're going to make an effort to find all the info you can on your playthrough. I also felt like the overall dialogue wasn't.. mature enough? I'd often finish reading a scene and just think "that was really corny" or "I don't see this situation/language being remotely close to realistic". There are some translation issues like , but it's nothing major.
-This might not be really objective but navigation is horrible, you're not only clicking 30 times to move from one location to another (no "fast travel" available), but you're also doing it to passs the time, your main ways to pass the time are going somewhere and leaving (it's 5 minutes each time), sleeping (6-8 hours), and other misc events, so given you have timed events, if you have to go somewhere at a certain time, you better be ready to leave and re-enter the same place 30 times. If you take a route where you don't take a character with you to investigate, you have to repeat a very long sequence that derives from the previous story, needing to use a somewhat hard to get item (again, very grindy) every time you want to get there.
-Choice: you don't get to do much of that here, there are some choices here and there, but they don't feel meaningful, you can knock up a character and not see any mention of it on her interactions / scene
-Lack of objective clarity and walkthrough:
At this point I don't know if it's not intentionally shitty so people have to be problem solving for a couple hours and it can be added to the playtime.

Where you see the mangled up letters on top of each other is where the current objective is supposed to be, and yeah, more than one quest makes it very annoying. The list on the left isn't current quests or story lines, it's everything on the game, they're there from the moment you start till you close it, and it's static information, you don't get an indication as to whether you've finished, progressed, haven't started or how to start them.
As for the lack of clarity, one integral quest nearing current end of content asks you to get something, you get there and obviously you have to grind for it, a girl indicates she wants a tea set because she loves tea, so as any sane person, you go to the mall to get it, but no, you have to go to an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere to steal one, for what it's worth, it's on the diary, but still annoying if you don't want to be reading a wt 24/7. If you're going to do this, at least make it sequential, since some quests block your progress in others without you having any idea.
For me it's truly a shame since there aren't many good games that feature real porn + pregnancy, and this seemed like it could've been one of them. I might check back in a while but for the moment I'd recommend steering clear, huge time investment for not much memorable content

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I mean, it's nice to play, you have a comprehensive walkthrough, the models are nice, the story too, and there is an online version which help all those who can't download it because it's too heavy (my connexion is shit). So I give 5 stars, and I hope to see more.

It's impossible to understand the quests and progress through the story with the details shared in the journal or the dialogs. I gave it my best shot to try and go to every single place searching for the items but there's no place to get them

The writing, especially the dialogues, is so unbelievably bad that I'm convinced the dev hasn't spoken to a single person in his lifetime. It's obvious that he's not a well versed English speaker, but even then, I can't imagine there's any language where people speak like soulless, stilted robots.

This title is so amazingly grindy. The dev used to have a walk through that at least eased the insane grind. You have roughly this many grinds

This game has been a complete mess on every update. I can't remember an update I was able to finish due to how often I ran into bugs that completely softlocked me becuase i did something in a different order.

Pros:
+Good pornstars.
+Nice story.
+Good scenes.

Cons:
- A lot of bugs that ruin the game.
-The quest tracker doesn't help at all after the first one.

I would really like to give this game at least 4 stars, but it's wayyy too broken, and after all this time, it don't think that will improve, that's why i rate it 2 stars.

This game suffers from bugs and mistranslations here and there. Why don't you use Grammarly? it's free and very convenient to use for non-native English speakers.

Nevertheless, it is still a good game with a good premise and a good choice of pornstars. I jiz my pants playing this game. So it's worth 4 stars for sure

Just downloaded the game,

and i instantly fell in love with the settings.

+ nice interface
+ good story setup
+ nice choice of pornstars
+ good amount of content

- bugs
- some stories didn't line up very well with others

i don't really care about grammar since i'm not native english speaker myself. So far when i'm playing the game, i can really understand every conversations and game instructions

I do really like the setting, the comedy, and the sex scenes. The interface is nice, and the initial presentation to the story is on spot.

The only downside are bugs. before releasing updates please make sure play it with the view of new player and/or returning players

I just don't get it why people gave bad review (1-2 stars) when the game itself is just in an early stage.. and then after few updates, they never came back and revise the review.. such a shame..

as a fellow one man HTML game developer myslef, i think it's unfair for the dev, regarding the effort we put in our games

This game had potentials, lots of content, quick bug fixing, the dev is very active.

the only thing i don't like in this game is Eva Elvie.. she's way to overrated!

Because I think the dev needs to add Sakura for everyone because not everyone has money and not everyone has a job and not everyone has a bank account I like the game but if he added her for everyone then I love it and when I get money that I don’t need then I will support it until then please Rustlerman put Sakura on the game for everyone

Buggy every update. I spend more time replaying everything I did in the previous saves than playing new content. Easy to do things out of sequence and lock yourself out of progression.

Do not recommend until developer learns to code.

I almost gave this an extremely generous three stars because somewhere hidden inside is a fun point and click game with an interesting plot. I enjoyed some of what's there, and I'd like to see the story play out. On other hand, F95 classes 3* as "average" and the negatives here are too heavy.

That fun point and click game is currently hidden behind poor English and bugged progress. The recent patch to fix some progress then added more bugs and confusion as it triggered an event that appears to be totally out of sequence. I'm not sure if I completed that event or not. I wandered around for a while being followed by another character, then nothing happened so I took her home. I mean, the point of the event was to find a character that I'd already found, so who knows?

That caused me to lose access to areas of the game for no discernible reason. Progress with another character that was supposed to be fixed still hasn't materialised. That's not from an update, that's from a supposed "fix". And that's after I'd started the game fresh because the update a day or so earlier had caused me to lose all my possessions in the game.

This is never going to be the deepest or most exciting plot out there, but it's fun and imaginative. The porn is decent. I'm no programmer but I feel like if someone fixed what was there and tidied up the English then you'd have a solid 4* game. For now, it's a source of frustration. I would happily play this if it worked.

It has a great storyline. The developer is very active. He fixes bugs and adds the things in suggestions section instantly. The version 0.64.1 also comes with Quest Tracker. All the best to the developer for future projects and this one.

Second time I have tried to play this only to come up against another load of bugs.

Premise is decent, grind is terrible, models are ok. For a real porn game, really no excuse for the bad pacing.

English isn't great but the story, as far as I got, was understandable.

Unfortunately there are still some annoying bugs, but with time it improves. remember to fix andreia's expulsion bug, besides i can't have sex with nancy u.u

Game is pretty much a huge mess that doesn't make anything clear at all so its like if you are walking in the dark and trying not to hit a wall but you can't see anything, the sexual aspect of the game is pretty much similar to every other real porn game there is out there, a bit grindy, and the English isn't the best would have liked to give it a better review but the entire game is just a fucking mess and seems to be pretty buggy like stuff not triggering at times
