VN - Ren'Py - The Missing Part [Ch. 1] [jPk vns]

One of the most emotionally impactful VN's I've ever experienced and it's only the first chapter. There are a couple of things that could be better, some grammatical errors at times but despite that it's an easy 5 stars. Would recommend to everyone unless you're severely depressed then maybe play something else

The writing in the game is excellent in terms of pacing out a pretty heavy introduction for the MC's story. It's pretty impressive how the prologue gets you attached to the MC's family that fast in such a short time. The 3 possible LI's don't have much right now to them to be honest, but the obvious hints of more to them are definitely intriguing as is.

However, I will say that for the first chapter, choices in the game enter into a common trap some games enter into when it comes to a really defined narrative like this one. Most choices right now basically boil down to whether you want to do a certain route or not, with no real effect on the plot outside of that.

I know the developer is planning broader choices in the following update, and hopefully, that helps a bit in choices mattering. If not that's totally fine, as I do think this is probably one of the best newcomer VN's this year.

Overall, though there's not much sexual content right now outside of the bonus scenes, I would recommend checking this one out if you like more somber story-related VN's.

I really enjoyed this, definitely one of the best new games out there. I like that the game's focused on the story and is not afraid of some more serious topics that most visual novels don't try to delve into. This is one of those titles that I would play even if there was no sexual content at all.

The renders are nice, so are the love interests and I like the fact that there's only three of them. I feel like many games try to go overboard with the number of romanceable characters instead of going for quality.

Overall, I most definitely recommend this and wish all the best to the dev with future updates because it's looking very promising.

Almost a kinetic novel. Choices are rare and when they do appear it's flavour only, we can ask some questions (or not) or we can choose to skip a scene (which defeats the purpose of playing the "game") or we can decide what to see first. Which makes this "game" no fun at all for me because we're not playing it, we're just observers.

And while renders are good they're nothing special but what's worse there is no sexual content here besides bonus scenes (which are poorly done IMO). I don't get why dev wasted time on adding them when they have nothing to do with the story.

All in all it's a very poor first release and had it been later chapter I would have rated it lower. I might change my rating if things will change but as it stands I can't recommend this game, on the contrary, I urge you to not play it if you value your time (wait at least until ch. 2 because as it stands now it's garbage).

Let's get to the part that many people here won't like:

This is not a porn game per se. Yeah, there will be sex scenes later (chapter 2 the dev wrote), but that is absolutely not the focus.

Chapter 1 is about the start of the healing process.

Storywise this is top notch and I would totally by the final version on Steam (which I sadly cannot as a German, so please bring it to GOG too, dev).

The prologue is about the MC meeting his wife and their daughter being born. From there it goes emotionelly downward, really hit me hard. The MC is a pretty funny guy, which makes it even harder to bear to see him sad.

The three main girls look good and are not models used everywhere else as far as I can tell. Their personalities are very different and they are all pretty. As this is no Harem game (and generell more on the realistic side) it will be hard to choose later on.

The conversations are as well written as the story itself and for both counts: slow pace, but never boring. I like the little verbal, funny jabs the MC does - I am pretty much the same in RL so I feel right at home there.

Music is very fitting to the scenes.

I cannot rate this any other than 5/5 stars, because this is just the kind of AVN I want to play.

Cudos to the dev, and really - as written before - bring it to GOG once it is finished.

Extremely good VN so far , it has potential to be one of the best VN with focus on the story.

The quality of the story is top notch and the dialogues very good moreover the backstory and the story telling is really well done.
MC seems quite good and the LIs are beautiful and with unique personalities, after i played their paths i liked them all
Unfortunately it isnt harem so we have to choose one in end so probably im gonna have play 3 different runs near the end.
Moreover Visuals are great and soundtrack quite good too.
it became already one of my favorites and i cant wait for the next chapter, i truly enjoyed it a lot and i highly recommend it.

The missing part [ prologue]

This one's heavily story centric. Godammn but the story is emotional one, if you are going through hard part of your avoid this one. This prologue doesn't had any choice at all. But you will play it to the end cause story is captive. If you are going through hard part of your life you will avoid. You don't see these type of story usually here. Only few game offer this type of emotional story. I felt like I've watched an emotional movie. Enough to make grown man cry type. There is also a bonus scene in replays

Review version : Prologue
I don't really like to review games even give 5 stars on games without much content . But this game really hits you in the feels more than once in the Prologue that I felt it was worth it for now. I hope other updates don't disappoint.

One thing I do like is how this dev is adding in lewd content as a bonus to get feedback and practice before we get said lewd content in the actual main game.

Whoo! Holy shit boys and girls. Haven't had a VN fuck me up this bad since Leap of Faith. Being a family man myself with a wife and kids I can't even begin to imagine being put through something like this.... but I bet $100 I wouldn't recover with a harem.
Honestly this one needs a flashing warning sign saying "DONT PLAY THIS IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH SOME SHIT!!!" multiple times.
But truth be told I loved it so much that I immediately pledged to the Devs patreon. Good shit dudes!

So far so good! Not much content yet as it is still only the prologue but I would say that the mood for the rest of the game has been clearly set. Decent renders, nice use of SFX and BGM, and enjoyable writing. All the best dev!

First off be aware that this is not a porn game. It deals with topics of death and loss in a nuanced, mature way. There are light elements (and there’s sex in a bonus scene) but the overwhelming theme is dealing with grief.

As the title states this is a prologue so don’t expect much gameplay/choices to make. It sets up the MCs story, and it’s a sad one. He suffers personal tragedy and, in one case, the narrative follows how he deals with its immediate aftermath. We see the reactions of various NPCs around him, which suggests how their stories might be relevant in his life in future updates.

Renders are good, dialogue does not feel forced - flowing nicely to set the scene and exploring the characters reactions to the MC’s trauma.

I personally want to see the where the story goes and would love to encourage the creator. 4 (aspirational) stars. This might go up or down depending on future updates.
