v0.8b1.11: added friendship points display on the Friendship screen, added quick menu transparency slider, added option to disable quick menu buttons, new Tutorial: Relationships database entry

All new settings but the database entry can be configured in the mod options.
The "Save" qm button was rather reserved for the Android version, but feel free to use this as well.
After accumulating more than 40 friendship points on each girl, feel free to disable the display as these points don't serve any other purpose anymore after the friendship tier is maxed. Don't forget that Jean can only become Good Friend to others so far but this could change in the future. Rogue already sees Laura as Friend right from the start, so it could be a little confusing if she starts with 0 points.
As polyamory easily brings confusion due jealousy, I've added another database entry that guides you through the process of relationship quests.
See OP for latest feature screenshots.

Im afraid that even with all that, people will still not read.
I already wrote a ticket about a link in the game's OP. No idea what's the requirement for that but let's see.
If players don't bother to read tutorials, then I can't do much further. I don't really want to add additional dialogue lines for Kurt...yet. Maybe best to wait until v.1.1 for such changes until everything basic is polished, including maybe even the database entries.

I was talking about people not reading about how multiple girls work, but if what you want is to be linked in the main thread, you have to talk to a mod, since neither Boots nor any of the dev team are the OP of the main thread.

Most issues come from people not reading. The friend point stuff might be the exception since the game doesn't give much in the way of indication unlike Love/Trust. I'd love to be able to get a hold of Boots to talk to him about it so he can pass it on to ron, but he's been MIA off and on randomly this last month or so.

As for the the mod, most of it is personal preference design choice stuff and hot keys. Not my preference since vanilla is largely fine by me, but others might like it.

I feel no desire to revamp game mechanics either, but rather do some visual tweaks here and there.
I could always add more mod options if certain features aren't desired, but as long as no one is complaining or requesting specifically I leave the changes as they are now.
Features like the beards and the auto-text settings are now changeable by the player without messing with the console or inside the mod file.
Even the quick menu is customizable now what hardly any other game offers per se. I still see no point in a vertical/horizontal switch though if it originally horizontally rather blocks the view on the girls and the player's body.
If someone really wants to see the word Paizuri or enjoys watching the lengthy XP notification chains, then it's no big deal to add such mod options within the game as well.

I still expect a couple of original changes too, so some features get possibly kicked out or changed otherwise.
The most important feature is that my mod won't ruin savegames, so you can always decide to remove it anytime if you feel it's unnecessary. This will become handy if a new update arrives and you don't need to wait for me to update my mod. Add the mod later and you can play on with the mod's settings again.
You'll get a warning info if you keep using the mod with a new official update before I've updated my mod first:

The only things in the list of features that looked like things I'd use are things related to the friend points and the beard. Which hopefully will get some support in a latter updates. The number indicator for friends is really good since outside of that I would have to open URM and find the friend points.(y)

Not a knock against your effort since it looks well made. I just really don't need hotkeys and ui things.
Every game around here used to have ui mods though so it's good that someone is doing it since Sancho isn't around the forum anymore.

No problem, everyone's own cup of :coffee:.
I've never made any hotkeys definable within a game, so don't expect something like that anytime soon either. I had already experimented with a player rename option but the game's input somehow gets stuck for unknown reason.
As there will be still new locations, more hotkeys could still be added, maybe changed or even removed again: "the future is always in motion"
Maybe more Quikloc keys would be handy, as I can't remember all these either so well and can be quicker accessed in a row. They would still need more icons next to the map belt button, but don't want to clusterfuck the UI with too much new stuff either after I toned down the QM somewhat.

I've started modifying Renpy UIs since end of last year but there is still so much to learn. At least sandbox games like this and RL:E offer a lot more possibilities than VNs that I started modifying.

v0.8b1.12: new XP numbers display option, improved the beard option code, "Dslr" renamed to "DSLR camera", "veiner" changed to "wiener", "Remain celibate" changed to "Remain a virgin"

Instead of the XP bar, you can optionally also show XP numbers on the skills menu. Off by default.
My beard shaved itself for strange reasons, so I had to revisit the barber-code for a proper fix with more duct tape. Our beards are us! Keep it in mind that the beard will stick even if you turn the option off now, so to fully get rid of it you have to first select beard type 0. Sorry, can't do it better for now before I also pull out my hair due frustration.
The abbreviation "Dslr" with automatic 1st uppercase looked too shabby anyway.
Kurt's lingo is special that might get more revisitz in zee future.
The Bronze V Card achievement isn't that clear what not to do, what means you can still fool around with girls but may not stick your wiener into them.

v0.8b1.13: some text changes on the achievement screen, file menu tweaks

Nothing exciting. I've only added some further tweaks I had already done in the past for my private mod version.
Rearranged the buttons in the file menu and added more file slot page buttons. I could still add a second row one day as chapter 5 is still a long trip ahead.
Each file slot also shows the slot number next to a more detailed file date. Only cosmetic fuss that won't affect savegames.

v0.8b1.14: disable screen shake, interface filters, and summoner-mod options

One interface filter is the pink (pulsing) screen border effect depending on the player’s desire/climax value on the sex screen. Other filters are the power glows during cinematics.
To turn off only the pulse effect of these, disable Animated Interface under Graphics.
New option tab Summoner for the mod by pepplez. Currently only offering the option to disable/enable it for whatever reason.

v0.8b1.15: quick menu won't show during black screen transitions, changed midday to afternoon, remote button and screen only shown if remote vibrator inserted in any character, skip day by q-hotkey restricted to uneventful situations, enable unrestricted summoning with pepplez's mod

The quick menu disturbs during the black screen moments of map transitions and especially events where there shouldn't be much reason to use it anyway.
The change from midday to afternoon will better match all dialogues, broadcasts, buttons and quest descriptions.
It's more convenient that the remote button/screen is only shown when actually useable. This way, you immediately know you can use the remote or might forget about it if you loose interest using it. As there is no hint for that thing, no one needs to wonder anymore why the remote doesn't work yet.
Skip day by q-hotkey restricted to uneventful situations to prevent accidental skips and script messups.
Enable unrestricted summoning option with pepplez's summoner can cause crashes, so be warned! I recommend not to save your game after summoning these red-marked characters.

Injector mods are very invasive and sensitive to changes, and TNHUXM overrides a lot of screen codes that will collide with such changes.
Using console commands are safer for cheating and don't require any mods. Console and Dev-Console are enabled by my mod, so shift+o works to quickly enter whatever command.

TNHUXMod08cbeta

I've made the mod compatible to v0.8c.beta.
This test version can't be used with v0.8b1, and I don't know what else gets changed until the public release, so I won't update my OP with this beta version.
I've only started the game until sandbox gets available to check my mod features, but I won't seriously play until v0.9 with new content, so no guarantee if everything is working fine.
If someone notices some issues then tell me!

See newest posts for latest beta version.

Hey, minor (but persistent) issue I've been running across, all the girls just change their pose/expressions at random times, and if I load a save without going back to the main menu first, I get character model flickering as well (the character or layers of the model vanish for fractions of a second at random times). The flickering is easy enough to avoid, but the pose changing is a constant, and it's a little unfortunate to have the girl's poses and expressions randomly change to completely different ones in the middle of a scene.

Current version v0.8b1. For clarity's sake I also have the X-23 green eyes mod, but it's presence or lackthereof appears to have no impact. No issues with the save on a clean vanilla game, installing the TNHUX mod reintroduces the flickering/pose changing, and removing the TNHUX mod does not remove the flickering. Something (probably) minor in the game apparently breaks after installing this mod, and from my relatively minor testing it appears to be 100% consistent. Any further information you want/need I will try to provide if I can.

I wouldn't really know what could cause that as my modifications don't touch any character model stuff.
I can't remember any random pose/expression messup when I played v0.8b1 with my changes. I also played with the green-eyes mod.
A general flickering issue is known until v0.8b1 at least, and others besides myself have experienced that without any mods as well. I've tried all settings but nothing really helped. It can really appear very randomly and rather when more than one character is shown on the screen at same time.
Disabling all interface and screen shake effects by my mod could improve performance to a microscopic degree, but I really don't know what else could negatively impact the Live2D stuff of the character displays.

Best is to wait until the public v0.8c release that should be around the corner and see if something has improved there although I personally won't extensively play and check everything until v0.9 hits.
Anyhow, v0.8c requires a new game start, so better don't waste time playing v0.8b1 anymore.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not exactly sure what the issue is myself, or why it happens beyond "the mod being installed changes something". Figured I'd bring it up on the off chance you had some idea what the problem may be or wanted any info I may be able to provide. Very much like the mod, adds tons of little bits of QOL stuff that's very nice to have, just unfortunate that it causes model flickering on my setup, for some reason. Honestly, it could just be those general flickering issues you mentioned, but I don't know why having the mod installed would worsen them.

Either way, I'm completely out of my depth here, so thanks for the advice (even if the advice is just "IDK, that shouldn't be happening try playing a different version maybe?"), and thanks for the link. I guess I'll try taking a look at how it goes on the v0.8c beta. If nothing else, I can always either put up with it, or play vanilla until a version of the game this doesn't happen on comes out.

This is a known phenomenon, i believe due to 2d live cubism and exist in the 8b1 version without installing any mods as well.
Seems to affect only older mashines like mine (playing on a lewd laptop), some people reported seeing Hindu deities with four arms and so on (like Laura with 4 arms in the girls hallway).
