Ren'Py - The Office Wife Unofficial Ren'Py Redux [v0.93-hotfix] [michaelcros]

First, i don't have finished the game (day 59).

For the moment, the content is interessant, but it's lacking some regularity in logic.
There are a lot of different kinks (exhib, DP, corruption, free use, ...) and the FMC explore different ways of sexuality.
The problem is that, sometimes, you can have a good slow burn corruption, and other times, the FMC switch shyness to slut in one frame. The different "partners" of the FMC can switch her like ON/OFF by touching her body. Even if it's a total stranger or a guy who's raping her.
In some event, you can feel the embarassement and excitation of the FMC, and the next event, the FMC is forced by one or more guys and directly had an orgasm every time.
Normally, she have some "powers" to control a situation. The desire to have sex (even with a stranger) or be used after reaching an excitation during an event. But it's not logic that she will be a total brainless fucktoy just because she have a dick inside her.

The animations can be short and repetitive. Or they can be really exciting, not from the quality (which is not really good, just 3 or 4 frames in loop) , but with different positions or the different stages of progress in a sexual event.

I could change my review after finishing the actual stat of the game, but for the moment, it's moderate good. Female Main Character + Exhib + corruption + different kinks, that's really interessant. But the lack of finitions and logic can be really boring.

Animations : 1/5 (In term of pure technique, we are far form Betrayed or Being a DIK)
Content: 4/5 (a lot of different fetish, that could enjoy a lot of people, but a lot of click click click to advance the story, and spam click to skip repeats)
Characters: 3/5 (the FMC can show her excitement and desire, and expose her mind about corruption and reflexion, or be a totally brainless fucktoy 2second after being forced, so it's not consistant)
Renders: 3,5/5 (the different women are really beautiful, and their attires are exciting, but sometimes we are really far from the 4K)
Finitions: 3/5 (as you have to click and spam click to skip repeats, when using the skip function, you can encounter some bugs as some scenes that doesn't count for the gallery, and need to restart the game)

The game is made as stupidly as possible, this applies to the rpg mode and the novel mode. The novel mode is a simple kinetic novel, where for some reason you are given a selection menu, but you can select only one item. It feels like the creator decided to just mock the player.

First time reviewing any game and I felt compelled to do so for this one because it's probably one of the best RPGM games that I have played. The story and illustration are excellent. Could use some polishing in terms of progression of the story, but that's expected of game that is still developing.

Quick and dirty review, not based on port to Renpy but content only.

Fair enough AVN but is showing its age.
FMC looks good and so do some of the other characters but ultimately its all very dated. Textures look hazy, grainy and style, assets and all that are from what feels like a by-gone era.
The kinks are good and all but most things are almost unavoidable making it kinda irritating and annoying.
Dont think I heard any sounds of any kind, also a let down.
Story is really nothing special, there is some plot but it hardly ever gets pushed or progressed, the FMC seems to be cursed or something by a goddess of love/lust/fertility and yet she never puts out in order to get knocked up. The game teases as it is old and never get anywhere or concludeds...
Overall not a bad AVN at all, but really dated and is honestly one of those who could do with a complete remaster.

TLDR: Gangbangs and DP! Mostly good corruption. Exhibitionism, public sex, exploitation, non-consent. Lots of content. Animations get good after a while. But outdated character models, renders. Repetitive (even in VN mode). Must involve husband. Forced relationships. Kinetic, basically.

Positives:

• Gangbangs! (Far too rare in porn games)
• DP
• Anal is deep and rough.
• Hot corruption progression.
• Sex is animated. In the beginning the animations are not good but they get a lot better over time. And animations properly show guys cumming inside and the jizz flowing etc.
• Exhibitionism and public sex.
• MC's outfits get increasingly lewd and look great.
• More and more guys taking advantage of MC, whether at the office or elsewhere. Manipulating her into accepting more and more lewd acts until she's become the office free-use slut.
• Proper deepthroat with gagging, getting her used to relaxing her throat.
• Taking MC from anal virgin to a total anal slut.
• MC being dominated, spanked, etc.
• A lot of random strangers take advantage of and fuck MC. E.g. being forced to fuck by random homeless guys.
• Groping, fingering etc. her on public transportation.
• Non-consent.
• Photographing and recording MC.
• MC forced into a gangbang with 6 dudes.
• MC corrupting her two female colleagues.
• She gets treated like a proper fucktoy by her brother. Really hot.

Negatives:

• Outdated and somewhat low quality character models. Render quality is also quite low but gets a bit better over time.
• The same scenes, renders and dialogue, repeat over and over! Every single day you have to click through the same stuff. Very strange way of telling a story. Boring and unnecessary. Extremely repetitive, quite literally.
• Sex scenes are generally too short and simplistic. It's typically just one animation and a few lines of text. Over too soon.
• Unavoidable sex with the husband. Imo in FMC corruption games this is a mistake and should be optional.
• You're forced to involve and cockold the husband. There's no choice, that's a core part of the story.
• Blueballing. For a long time whenever you get close to any action there's an interruption exactly then. It's lazy and clichéd writing.
• The corruption is all blamed on magic, that's essentially why MC is horny. It would be much hotter if it was "just" guys manipulating, blackmailing, etc. her to bring out her natural sluttiness. In this game when she's doing lewder things she gains "enchantment" instead of corruption. Annoying.
• Unavoidable lesbian sex many, many times. No choices given. Not my thing and especially not when there's no choice.
• Unfortunately the dialogue doesn't really highlight or emphasize hot moments such as MC's first DP or a2m. Missed opportunity.
• Interrupted sex. Several times sex is interrupted before orgasms. Super frustrating. Why do this?!
• The game has a huge thing for cuckolding and embarrassing the husband. There are literally scenes where we just watch the husband (he's not a playable character) on a couch listening to and complaining about the MC getting fucked by two guys in the other room. Why?!
• Mostly entirely kinetic. Meaning the story and anything of importance has no choices. It seems the only "choices" are minor activities day-to-day, which order to do something.
• "Choices" related to the story are actually not options, they're required to progress. Includes e.g. unavoidable lesbianism and MC being dominated by another girl. Not my thing.
• MC's personality changes drastically from scene to scene and it's annoying. In one scene she's totally submissive, loves being dominated and fucked, the next moment she's all bossy and full of confidence, refusing to do what the guys want.
• Nonsensical story and behavior from the MC. After she's fucked dozens of guys, most of the guys in the office, she still sometimes tries to reject guys touching her since she "has a husband!"... Annoyingly inconsistent and doesn't follow a good corruption progression.
• At some point in the story suddenly the MC really doesn't want to continue the corruption, even though until this point she was enjoying it (for the vast majority of scenes). Apparently, again, it's due to the magic. I don't like this reversal and "rebellion" against the quite nice corruption we had going on.
• Uninteresting story about magic, monks, etc. I feel no connection with it.

How in the hell is this game so highly rated?! The UI is somehow even worse than rpgm, so much pointless clicking, there is no real choice in this game, even though it seems like it's a sandbox, it's really not, because you have to do whatever the game tells you to do. The story is garbage also, for an example, your husband, the perfect man for you, love of your life, cant pick you up after your car has broke down because he... cant pause his game? What? Yeah babe just go with the train at night, get abused, who cares? TLDR poor UI, 90% of the characters are creepy and/or idiots, I really dont get it how this is so highly rated.

Why are there so many 5 stars for this pile of crap? 2 days of grinding and this skank still has not fucked anyone. Now matter how hard I try to push her into it either. She has worn cum filled panties home. Teased men. Flashed them. NADA! Nothing. Not interested in her asshole boyfriend. That prick just pisses me off every time I see him. Dev could not make me hate a MF more than he does with him.

The grind with no reward is just way too much though. Quit this one. Do not recommend it either. Do not believe the 5 stars are real as the original for this was abandoned.

The game is really exciting, and the corruption theme is well done. I love seeing and feeling the main character's emotions as she slowly becomes corrupted. She’s gradually turning into an office wife, which looks great. I really enjoyed playing the game. The Ren'Py implementation is definitely better, and having predefined save points is also great. There’s no need for any extra mods, plus it has its own help screen and gallery unlocker. I think it’s a super implementation. The Ren'Py implementation is really good, and the game is great.

Perfect use of corruption and Stacy is gorgeous! This game is perfect going to a sandbox/VS. Story was long and has plenty of content. Loved this game a lot, well done. Excited for the next update! This story has all types of kinks and the corruption is perfect. Big fan.

For me this game represents the pinnacle within the corruption genre.

The writing is top notch, the visuals very pleasing and the amount of content is massive. The game is a sandbox style game that nonetheless is quite linear. It works very well actually. There are some things you can skip, but generally there is only one path forward, and that path consists of corruption and NTR. For the amount of content you would perhaps expect the pacing to be a problem, but that is definitely not the case in my opinion - I think the pacing is very well done.

One quality-of-life issue I have is that commuting to and from work gets tedious. However, it would be difficult to fix, because there are a lot of stuff that can happen during the commute.

But overall a top notch corruption game!

So much better than the original. Very nice job transitioning from RPG to VR. I always thought the model for Stacy was one of the best. She has that sexy hometown innocent beauty with a body that's not too thick and not too thin. I applaud your actions and hard work, sir! Keep it up. We appreciate it!

I must say this is a surprisingly good game. I tried playing the original and didn't like the way it played. This game, even though it's completely linear, does a great job of telling the story the original just couldn't because the time in between the scenes was too long.

There's also an interesting angle this game takes compared to other female protagonist style games. For example, Anna Exciting Adventures has Anna just becoming more of a hoe bag, cheating on her boyfriend to the point where he is irrelevant to the story. Perfect Housewife plays with the gradual limits of wife sharing and the strength of their relationship is maintained (at the moment - future updates may differ). And The Adventurous Couple and A Couple's Duet play more with the consequences of cheating, cucking, or staying faithful.

I'm giving this a 5 because it balances the whole hotwife theme with a sometimes conflicted jealousy/arousal storyline with the husband. The graphics are okay, but you get used to them after a while playing, and there's so much content that the game keeps on going.

As for the original game itself - a very nice, albeit slow burning, corruption/exhibitionism/cuckold romp. One of my favourites so far. Can't wait to play the finished version when it comes out in 2037.

I might not be a fan of 3D games and lean more toward the stylized 2D artstyle, but...
1. The renders are high quality
2. There are multiple renders that have been REDONE by the original author that change the clothing, so it's super high quality in regards to that
3. The models used aren't, that bad, and I can see how someone that prefers 3D would love them
So all in all, it's quite impressive and if you like 3D art this is definitely something you would enjoy.

Other than that, the game is awesome and the ren'py adaptation has made it actually playable! Thank god! michaelcros has put in a lot of effort into this and I truly do appreciate it. I can't give this any lower than 5 stars, especially with the advanced ren'py features he has used.

A hidden gem, I'm glad I pushed through my initial skepticism. Very few creators can make exciting female point of view, this is definitely one of the best.
I'm not a fan of the gameplay loop, as it often ends up being a chore, but at least it's not grindy and there's lots of erotic content.

Thanks for the renpy build. It's a lot better to grind than using the rpgm one. Also I found the additional replay and gallery settings way better and easy to use through renpy than rpgm. Great job and thank you.

Really amazing game just wish the animations for the sex scenes werent the little videos but actual animations. Other then that it kept me horny throughout almost the entirety. Except fuck the way that sex scene was done with jim and doug. Literally the worst part of the entire game. Way to cuck your fanbase..

Very likable main character, deep interesting story, good writing, lots of scenes (the amount of work by the dev is huge), crazy kinks and fetishes.

People enjoying office stories will love it, a must play to me, beside "insightof you", which is probably one of my favs, different but really similar context.

Damn.. A FMC corruption game with great graphics, fantastic innocent faithful wife, great Magic induced corruption, tonnes of content, interesting plot and advancement - what could be wrong with that?

Played both the RPGM and Renpy versions, this review is not about what system is better. Flipping this to Renpy is a good idea, but it does turn it into even more of a VN with this Unofficial Ren'Py redux.

My 3 star reasons are in a spoiler cause it is about the plot and characters.


I normally love FMC games - love a good corruption game especially when we have an outside magical influence that explains the bad behavior instead of the usual bored housewife with an inadequate hubby.

I so wanted to rate this higher, support the Dev and encourage more development, but that unavoidable path killed it. Average game, if you like sharing, BBC give it a go.

The Office Wife follows a mild mannered salary-woman on her fast and dirty path of corruption.

The game is probably trying to make the corruption something of a slow burn, but things get started pretty quick and escalate quicker. Naturally, that's probably a good thing, since nobody really wants to actually follow any office worker around on their day to day tasks. The scenes and the circumstances around them generally follow her as she sluts it up for her fellow workers and they're fairly solid.

That said, it does feel like our protagonist is fucking anyone who asks (and a few who don't) pretty damn quickly. While technically her husband can be a willing cuck, the office wife very frequently doesn't tell him what she's up to, which means it's far more of an NTR story than a swinging story.

The Office Wife also has the very common problem in NTR games of her NTR partners being ugly, assholes, or both. While there are one or two fuck buddies who appear to be decent human beings, most of them are intolerably ugly or just intolerable to be around, which is super frustrating.

Finally, there's a LOT of clicking to get through all the content. While content unlock speed is fairly decent most of the time and the game guide does a good job of making sure you aren't spinning in circles, each day just has a large number of clicks and text skipping to get past. While I can only imagine how much less grind this has than the RPGM version, there is still a lot of grind here as well.

Overall, whether you'll enjoy The Office Wife depends heavily on your kinks. While the art, animations, and story should satisfy most people looking for a corruption game, only those heavily into NTR, indiscriminate fucking and ugly bastards/assholes will love it.
