Sorry, your comment was removed as part of our comment cleanup
A precise reason would be good, then my comment that was removed was not something that violated the guidelines. This also applies to the others that were removed with me. at least it is new to me to answer in a single question about a comparable game that there is no really comparable game but similar. f95 page does that itself, with links on every channel and more links to similar games, whether plot or genre, than what should be the reason for the deletion

If it was a clean up, then it means you quoted a post that was deleted

Well, as I said, neither what I wrote nor what I replied to had a reason to be deleted. My comment and the others will be deleted. They were completely normal conversations with a tip for a similar game so that he doesn't have to search with a link. So the reason for this would be very important because it would seem that someone has a problem with it, no matter why.

Don't create multiple tickets for the same issue, especially in unrelated categories.

Your post was removed because it was offtopic, this is defined in our rules. If you want to talk about other games then PM that person and have a private conversation.

the removed comment is on topic. if this post is not relevant to the topic then you have to delete 90 percent of the posts. as I said the reason is questionable. because an exact reason is missing. furthermore there were no tickets with the same reason this is about the cleanup and this is about everything plus my comments as well as the other comments from others

You created two tickets, first this one: https://f95zone.to/tickets/sorry-your-comment-was-removed-as-part-of-our-comment-cleanup.18922/
And now this one, in the 'staff applications' category: https://f95zone.to/tickets/posts-were-deleted-reasoning-questionable.18930/

Rule 2.1 says:
Discussion must be limited to the game/comic/asset/author listed on the OP. You may discuss other content from the same developer, but please do not discuss content from other developers
Your post was against our rules. It was off topic. It led to a multiple page derailment. I cannot put it any more simply than this.

You're welcome to disagree with our decision or the rules, but that's just the way it is.

Point one, it wasn't derailing, it was over because there was nothing more to say. There was no reason to delete my and other people's posts
and read what it refers to as I said, one is about cleaning the other about deleting a lot about the questionable reason for the deletion I only copied the conversation so that you know

now you say it's about it getting out of hand. before because I mentioned another game. the rules on the subject are flexible, the admin should be flexible too, like the one or the other in F-95 rules, again, in other words the principle of discussion. and there will always be comparisons with other games and references to them. which is why I say that you had to delete 90% of the posts with your reasons. also in the area where you deleted mine and other people's posts. because the recent comments were also about another game, they were not deleted. it would be nice if you could restore them, if that doesn't work, at least one in the future, we'll pay more attention to it, in relation to white jokes that correspond, first of all because. change your post to correspond if you agree. or we... you have to remove it. In retrospect, I don't agree with your reasoning. and partly your rules are flexible. as you said yourself, it was getting out of hand, so it was OK, but I thought it was too much. that's not right. so I'm making a place here where people can talk about the game or not. and your rules don't prohibit it to a certain extent either. it's allowed, your rules apply to more areas, so sometimes some rules don't make sense. it's normal to compare other games and that they come to the same language. banning that in a set of rules is honestly pointless. you should rework the set of rules. and remember that exchanging information about a game automatically leads to a different game.

There was no reason to delete my and other people's posts
most likely: yes there was.

I am one of the users who regularly gets tired of skim-reading through pages of folks talking other games, assumed developer's character traits, OTHER developers's assumed character traits, "your favourite brand of sth." and whatnot.
I usually do not report things when they are from the past, and seldom when they are ongoing, because it would mean other people would have to waste their limited time & nerve on it (moderators).

muh, other shit is worse than mine
maybe, maybe not. Your's was bad enough that other users reported it. that's the main difference.

and your post looks like shit.
lol.
but am surprised: looks like ticket messages can be liked and even reported ("melden") ?

Uhhh, I can't really get what I'm seeing here, Screenshots would've been better to provide than posts which... don't exist. Or even a statement which outlines what you think is wrong here and explanations as to why.

I mean, mods can definitely be wrong at times, but the other 9 million times someone has complained about it the mods were definitely in the right.

Point one, it wasn't derailing, it was over because there was nothing more to say. There was no reason to delete my and other people's posts
If those posts had remained in the thread, then that section would have remained derailed. Members asking for help, discussing best routes / gameplay etc. would have their comments lost in the OT talk.

People will sometimes search of answers, they almost never search to see if someone asking for help got an answer.

now you say it's about it getting out of hand. before because I mentioned another game.
2.1 Discussion must be limited to the game/comic/asset/author listed on the OP. You may discuss other content from the same developer, but please do not discuss content from other developers.

2.4Please avoid discussing or advertising other games in game threads, as this will often derail the discussion
  • Do not ask for similar games, we have a Recommendationssection for this purpose
    • (Some advice: try searching for the topic first, chances are there are already threads asking for similar titles to any popular game)

the rules on the subject are flexible, the admin should be flexible too
The rules are what the staff says they are on a private forum.

and there will always be comparisons with other games and references to them. which is why I say that you had to delete 90% of the posts with your reasons.
A person always shows they have a weak / no argument when they exaggerate their numbers. Not even "100% save plz" or "update wen?" hit 90% of posts.....

also in the area where you deleted mine and other people's posts. because the recent comments were also about another game, they were not deleted.
So you admit you broke the rules, great, now move on with your life. As for those not deleted, off-topic should be reported, you can do this by clicking the report button at the bottom left of each post.

first of all because. change your post to correspond if you agree. or we... you have to remove it.
So firstly you want to create more work for the staff / mods by having them, first send a message to EVERYONE in EVERY thread where they went off-topic and then to monitor EVERY one of those posts to make sure they are edited and then if they are not, only then go in and delete them... or are you saying you are special and it should only apply to your posts and threads you are active in?

Secondly, members are expected to act like adults, they are expected to read the rules and follow the rules. Your case in point....

You could have PM'd the members with the information, you could have started an off-topic thread for the game in off-topic and if you felt the information was soooo important, you could have started up a thread in recommendations section so you reply would NOT get lost in the middle of a game thread and others could've used it.

Instead you chose to break the rules and then like almost all the others who make threads like this one, you chose to air your dirty laundry in public where it's clear as day you are in the wrong.....

as you said yourself, it was getting out of hand, so it was OK, but I thought it was too much. that's not right.
Off-topic and derailing rules have been around for almost as long as the internet has...
You say you think it's too much and it's not right but that is because you are being selfish.

Some members will think it's not right that their question for help etc. with a game gets lost in off-topic discussions.
Some members will think it's not right that their discussion on routes / gameplay / story progression is interrupted / broken etc. because of off-topic.
A lot members reading this thread will think it's not right that with all the tools the site gives you, you still chose to break the rules and disrupt other members in a thread then make this thread proving you were wrong.

your rules apply to more areas, so sometimes some rules don't make sense.
If they don't sometimes make sense, how is it that so many members seem to be able to follow them? You'll also find that the majority of the rules just require using some common sense, acting like an adult and not being selfish or an ass.

it's normal to compare other games and that they come to the same language. banning that in a set of rules is honestly pointless.
Unless they took that into account and created other sections, tools and yes even rules for such discussions. Want to talk about other games, you have off-topic, recommendations and PM / conversations that allow you to invite people to join.
The only thing pointless is this thread.

you should rework the set of rules.
No they don't have to, this is a private forum, you agreed to abide by the rules when you joined. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to use this site.

and remember that exchanging information about a game automatically leads to a different game.
No, no it does not...

You were in the wrong, you DID break the rules, now act like an adult and deal with it and move on with your life....

Oh god...

[...] I only copied the conversation so that you know [...]
Thanks but, unlike you, most of those who will be interested by reading your post, and have the courage to try to decode it, already know how the forum works and what its rules are.

now you say it's about it getting out of hand. before because I mentioned another game. the rules on the subject are flexible, the admin should be flexible too,
Rule 2.1.2 "Discussion must be limited to the game/comic/asset/author listed on the OP. You may discuss other content from the same developer, but please do not discuss content from other developers."
It looks pretty rigid for me... Therefore, I guess that, when you say that admins should be flexible, you mean that they should agree with your reading of their rules.

I miss the good old "Admin's decision are final".

Unfortunately, you can't do/change anything unless you are the owner of the site. Making threads like this is useless.

It's not useless, the rest of us can learn about another suitable candidate for our ignore lists.
