RPGM - Completed - The Rain Monster [v1.02] [nikusuke]

A bit controversial game, to be honest. In better times, I'd rate it 2 stars maximum, but the lack of NTR games in this direction makes it stand out even at the level this game is at.

It's possible to complete the happy route, though there's not much point in it since sex scenes are only present in the NTR routes. As for the NTR scenes—they try to look like the heroines are being forced into sex while still caring about the MC, but in reality they're just sluts who need a little push before completely melting. There are four routes; I only completed one, the drunken man route, and it went like: "I have to endure this for the sake of my beloved one"... "Damn, he's good at what he's doing"... "No, that's wrong"... "Ah fuck it, I want to be his slave."

Don't get me wrong—if you don't mind the heroines being hidden sluts, then this is still a great game for you.

Nothing much to say about the story. The MC's uncle is killed, and he tries to solve the mystery while interacting with and protecting a mother and daughter pair. Boring story, and the writing is even less enjoyable (maybe because of the translation, though nevertheless...). But hey, it would be silly to expect anything more from games like this, so I won't even factor it into my score.

However, this game misses essential QoL features, which makes it barely playable:

- A delay of about 1 second after each dialogue line. Considering a full playthrough takes about 30-40 hours (based on reviews—I didn't test it myself), you'll easily spend 5-8 hours just waiting for the next line to appear. Frustrating for both regular gameplay and sex scenes.

- Very unintuitive gameplay. Basically, you just scam save files to fit into time gates to find cats, or trigger other events before anything bad happens. There are no markers or anything else to tell you what to do or where to go (easily the second biggest time-waster in this game).

This is the biggest disappointment of 2026 so far. This game has all the worst elements.
The plot is terrible, with no charisma or anything new, just a bunch of boring dialogues.
The graphics are terrible, seriously, the 3D effects look like they were made in some ancient Japanese program from the 90s, and to top it off, there's censorship like in Japanese porn, which just kills the whole atmosphere of the sex scenes.
The gameplay... the author of this game simply forgot what an interface is. There were just a bunch of moments where it wasn't clear what to do at any given moment. and the game has no hints or markers. It's especially annoying that you can leave the location before you've completed the task, even though this feature is available on the global map of the city, meaning that the author was simply too lazy to add this feature to the buildings.

Game that was pretty hyped and while its okay, doesnt end up really hitting for me.
The heroines could be set up more. They are pretty generic and while there is a whole childhood arc, it just didnt really make me feel anything for them. Maybe it just didnt click, but thats an integral part of any ntr that is pretty crucial. Also their character just didnt seem consistent. The dev set them up in a certain way and then during the routes they acted in a very different way pretty much immediately.

The animations are pretty nice - the game uses unique graphics that you dont see in many other games. Just from images it doesnt look good, but in action they are pretty damn smooth and the bodies feel "full" and malleable, not just moving robots. There is "weight" to it.

I wish there was a bit more hidden ntr. There are a lot of implied scenes and some pretty nice hidden ntr scenes, but I still think there could have been more. Many times the game was kinda gearing up to a pretty "cliche" hidden ntr scene and then nothing would appear, just implied in the end. Those cliches are cliches for a reason and are fun, so there was a bit of disappointment.

Another issue is that a lot of the game ends up requiring you to just kinda sleep and do some daily chores and wait for stuff to progress with not that much happening. Definitely isnt the grindiest and worst game with this, but it felt a bit unnecessary.

Overall I might give it a 3/5, but I think I am biased since it was a bit too hyped and I might have grown a bit snobbish over the years in general, so 4/5 I think is deserved. Probably wont blow your mind, but it is worth playing I think, its solid.

Also the world land story can be kinda dark, so avoid it if you like lighter stuff.

Just finished 1 route....its great....and sad really. Well the developer success to bring that feeling to the gamer. I will try to finished other routes as well

Beauty girls and good ntr story. Recommend to play

An impressive second release from Nikusuke and a clear refinement of his skills but he has some way to go to realise his lofty ambitions.

Visually speaking, Nikusuke has been able to provide a unique 3D experience in a genre stuffed with quite samey artwork and artstyles. This stands out for all kinds of reasons. The two womens bodies are fantastic if a little stiff at times and the ugly bastards are suitably gross looking. He frames sexscenes in ways that will both frustrate and appeal to different lovers of NTR. At times the enormous tits and tight pussies are on display front and centre but there's a lot of visual blocking by the fat, hairy bastards at times. I personally actually like this because it adds to the vulgar corruption going on but I can understand why some aren't a fan. He could also do with designing better looking asses for the females. They look great with clothes on but are not nearly as nice/obscene looking as their tits.

From a story standpoint this is a very miserable and unforgiving tale of NTR. If you don't try to avoid the NTR then you'll see the male MC fail and fail again to very sad endings. This is not light-hearted NTR. There's tangible outcomes in routes.

The sex scenes themselves are written well but they're front loaded. For those that like dialogue heavy sex scenes you'll find that here but it does feel like the foreplay get's the most attention and actual sex itself can feel a little rushed at times or almost skipped over entirely (I'll come to that next).

I have two major criticism for this work.

1. The game is front-loaded with quality, immersive storytelling and erotic scenes in the early routes but some of them, Loan Shark route in particular seem to wrap up massively once the woman are corrupted. There's a great deal of missed oppurtunity. I won't spoil it but I can see why the game was delayed soo much. It needed a lot longer in the oven, so to speak.

2. Major sex scenes are glossed over and in some cases ommited entirely. Again, I won't spoil specifics but it did feel bizarre how much hyper fixation is placed on some scenes and next to nothing on others. I get the feeling that Nikusuke finds the journey much more erotic than the end. I do however understand that there's an art to not showing everything. It just feels odd here.

I would recommend this title for NTR lovers and even Netori lovers as the guys stealing are given lots of spotlight.

I think Nikusuke is more than capable of creating something truly outstanding. He has great talent and I believe in his diligence.
