I got acquainted with this VN, completely unaware of its reputation. I wasn't aware of her cult status among connoisseurs of the NTR genre, and I also didn't know that an OVA was shot on her (which, however, already hints at a certain level of quality — studios simply wouldn't waste resources on a frankly weak product). As a result, I even liked the game, although there were some complaints. I'll sort it out in order.
1.The visual component
The drawing style is quite good and has its own atmosphere. However, some CG images of Misako, especially close-ups of her face, seem overly simplified and elaborated worse than anything else. This is perhaps the main drawback of the artist's work. In general, the visual is specific, but quite high-quality.
2.The soundtrack
As in most Japanese novels, the women character's voice acting is present here, and it's quite decent. Special attention should be paid to the well—chosen ambient background sound tracks that expertly convey the mood of each scene. Whether it's the protagonist's melancholic reflections on marriage or the scenes of his watching videos, each episode is accompanied by its own sound background, which enhances immersive.
3.Plot and presentation
The main advantage is that the story avoids the cliches that have filled its teeth, which immediately pleases. However, there are too many "white spots" in it. For example, it remains a mystery how the main character even managed to conquer a woman like Misako and convince her to get married. The circumstances, place and reasons for the beginning of her sex meetings behind her husband's back aren't fully disclosed. Yes, I understand that this is primarily an adult porn product, where the main focus is on explicit content rather than deep narrative. But even within the genre, there are games with great stories that only enhance immersive and make the scenes more meaningful (increasing that very congruence).
I was also somewhat confused by the crumpled endings. They, like the beginning of the game, seemed to me too open and incomplete. There is no classical structure with a clear beginning, development and culmination. Rather, it's just a fragment of the protagonist's life taken out of context with a conditional beginning and the same conditional ending.
4.Gameplay
It's not really here. It's hard to call this a full—fledged visual novel - during the entire passage, the player is given to make a choice only twice. These decisions have virtually no effect on anything other than access to certain porn scenes. The developers have laid out hard rails in advance, and the "forks" are just an illusion of choice, offering slightly different porn content. This is disappointing, especially against the background of many other novels, where decisions have far-reaching consequences and lead to truly different endings.
5.Sex content
It's good. If you are a fan of NTR, voyeurism, cheating on middle-aged women, then you will like it. If you aren't satisfied with at least one of these genres, you will most likely not be so satisfied.
To sum up, I liked the game, but I wouldn't say that it has acquired a cult status for me, like the "Black Bible". It deserves 4 stars (7 out of 10).
P.S.
If you don't want to spend time on a visual novel, but want to get to know the story and content anyway. You can watch the OVA. There is less content than in the game, but the main sex scenes are presented there. The story is told in less detail without an emphasis on the main character's thoughts. In general, it's also good, even I liked the drawing more, but it feels like it's just a shortened retelling, not a full-fledged film adaptation.
