No way! damnit
Edit: looks like he left because some idiots were pestering him about the new dlcs and stuff, way to ruin it for everybody.
Their retirement was bound to happen at some point either way. TS4's community is filled to the brim with daft fucks and so is the piracy community around the game as well. And to be fair, he was also quite prone to getting upset over really inconsequential shit, like one of his discord announcements being reacted with the pregnant man emoji, to which he responded with bans for everyone on the server that reacted to his message with said emoji... so given his personality it's probably way better than he retired now than much later on.

All I can suggest for now is to keep watch on cs.rin to see if anyone picks up the mantle.

His retirement wasn’t inevitable; it was largely driven by persistent harassment and community pressure rather than just his personality, and framing it as “for the best” ignores the significant loss his unique contributions and tools represent to the TS4 community. He mentions some people pestering his friends too about this, like that is already taking it too far. Also, I would get upset too if I make a tool as a hobby and some strangers start making demands.

I meant "for the best" in terms of his mental well being and nothing else. He took a way too "hands-on" approach to managing his tools and community which clearly impacted his personality in the last few years. Even in his last tweet he acknowledged that he acted like an asshole. A sad case of not knowing when to ignore idiots.

I dont use twitter, you probably meant this 1764449225184.png He wasn't calling himself an asshole literally, he was just saying he didn't tell his friends the reason either. Sims 4 updater seems to be dead dead like literally. Guess the idiots and the ones collateral won't be getting any free Sims 4 updates anymore. Thanks to the idiots, I guess.
