The Tabletop "Boys"?
On opening the game I liked the initial design, the writing font, transition and the mechanics look smooth, the art style of the characters looks good too, from a graphical standpoint this game is pretty neat.
What I didn't like were the interactions between the "boys", I didn't find it at all believable, they're pretty dumb.
I don't know how homosexual men interact with each other but the interactions of the characters for me was immersion breaking. The only way that I can describe the flow and their conversation was as if they were feminine New York homosexuals (the worst kind of homosexual) or it was written like it was some sort of girl's sleepover except gender swapped.
The youngest lad in the group drew a card and it said something to the effect of, DARE: "Goatse your asshole in front of everyone", his reaction? Sure! No problemo!
Then another lad had to be pushed to draw a card, TRUTH: "Who would you most like to snuggly wuggly with?" Oh wow, I'm shy! I can't answer that! Guess I'll take a punishment and take off one piece of clothing revealing my bare cheat and nipples in front of everyone.
What the fuck is going on? This is female throwaway sleepover shit, It just doesn't seem realistic at all... and I've been to a boy's sleepover where two of my school buddies had a swordfight as I made my excuses to leave the room to "get a glass of orange juice".
It's all too easy, especially as the boys are dumb as a bag of rocks and I lost interest quite quickly, nothing feels like it's on the line, they're so dense that they might as well just fucking fuck already.
I'll give it a 3 star average rating, the design itself is good, the theme isn't a fit for my sensibilities at all, I imagine that if you're a fujoshi or are more on the effeminate side then it'll be right up your alley.
Worth a play at least, but for a completed game I feel that it's incredibly lacking in substance, depth and seems to me to be very superficial.
