Honestly, if the crunch he describes is real then I don't envy him buuuuuut... at the end of the day, the indie developers are masters of their own fate, and this is clearly a self-inflicted situation with over-promising of features, trying to meet a too short self-set deadline, realizing that the work is not completed and deadline is approaching and rather than be honest about it, going radio silence and starting an unhealthy crunch just to finish, and in my opnion the most important part.
The mentality of a stereotypical caveman Japanese developer that will fight tooth and nail to prevent percieved piracy at every corner, instead making sure they will make a good product that people will genuinely like and want to buy, to support the developer creating more good products

i remember that the previous game was banned because their drm was so bugged than it delete some important files from windows that brick the system.

The amount of mental and physical energy being spent by this dev to combat piracy is silly. It takes one pirate to crack your game and at that point you might as well no longer have a DRM. Unless you have some god-tier DRM that takes like weeks to crack, it's not worth the effort. Hell, once your initial sales boom has passed, it isn't worth it to try to make it stronger because anyone that wanted the game that badly would have already bought it.

Finally finishing this demo, made me realize that Mari's story was meant to be originally somewhere around the latter part of the game if we are going to go by the original plan of having multiple heroines in a single game.
Also side note: I'm not going to be surprised if this developer goes off the rails and introduce a DRM that would basically brick your hardware out of spite from illegally downloading this demo.
