Thinking about making a VN

I've been considering developing an adult themed VN for a while now. Still trying to come up with a story. Seems everything has been done before but maybe I just ignore that and make something I would personally be interested in. But anyway... the reason I wanted to make this post is that I was curious if animation (sex scenes) is required. I use Daz and it's tedious as fuck and time consuming to do animations with it. So I guess I was wondering would people still be interested in a VN that didn't have animation.

I would say bad animations detract from an experience more than no animations. Personally, I don't mind no animations as long as I like the rest of the game.
