VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Thinking About You [v0.9.2] [Noir Desir]

Well, I've just discovered the game, and I need to say it's great, and even fantastic compared to most other games on this site.

The art shows some genuine effort, and doesn't feel like it was produced by some horny teenager who just downloaded the whole DAZ collection from the Bay. Plus it comes with sexy facial emotions.

I also like the talent of the author/writer in knowing how to juggle between the steamy bits and the moments where I just have to giggle like a schoolgirl.

The story, with characters who have some depth to them, for once, and multiple, real choices (D/s and lesbian branches seems like, yummy), does even feel kind of semi-palatable to someone like me who really isn't in the whole incest business, so it's definitely a huge plus in my book.

Bah, who am I kidding, you had me the moment you plastered a gorgeous redhead on your description, staring at me like an Egyptian Bastet kitten with the silent question of "see anything you like?".

I hope that the Patreon will go somewhere and get the support it deserves.

Masterful storytelling, fleshed out characters and tension filled sex scenes. What more could you ask for? Also, it's genuinely funny. I wish Eva was more compelling as a character so it would be more difficult to choose between her and Julia. As it stands, Julia is far more interesting than Eva. Looking forward to future updates!

I think my biggest complaint is that it's sometimes a bit unclear what effect your choices have but this is a general problem with most visual novels.
I wouldn't mind it just being a completely linear story instead of the developer spending time on multiple branches where most just want some harem route anyway.
But all in all one my favorite games at this moment

This is a very unusual game in which a younger brother tries to seduce an older, more sophisticated and attractive sister. The sister is insecure but dominating and, while no pushover, is attracted to her younger brother. The brother tries to seduce her, not with pills or his giant cock, but by making her jealous and by judiciously balancing "giving in" and standing up for his rights. I love it. The art is rather Japanese to me in that the same scene is used for a lot of dialogue. Compared to other artists, there is very little art.

This game, visually, made me think of Offcuts. Not the style, but that when I first started the game, I really didn't like the look of the characters, backgrounds etc. By the end of the game, I couldn't get enough of main-girl (Julia, to all you heathens out there!)

OK, onto the game.

Art is a solid 8-9, and kudos to the number of small expression-changes that were rendered. Simple eye movements, lip changes. It really pulled you into that world.

Plot is meh ("haz to move in with sister, for {reasons} and she has a hot room-mate"), but it's the conversations and incidental throwaway stuff that matters. The plot is the frame on which to hang everything else. It's not so important and most importantly it doesn't get in the way.

There are still some things I'm not sure about (is Julia becoming embarrassed a bad thing, neutral, good, or does it really have no impact?). A clickable way to look up stats would be helpful. Though when you get to know their 'personalities' I think situations become easier to read.

So a very solid start and I strongly recommend it, if only to see Julia's vast array of adorable expressions. Would suck on my sister again!

As an edit, and if somehow Noir Desir sees this, this is one game which I hope doesn't progress too fast. It's not a 'bang your sister ASAP!!' game, it's a beat-around-the-bush, circle-the-drain kind of game, and I'd be perfectly happy for the witty, cheeky conversations to go on for a while longer. Once you've played hide the snake, it makes the verbal dancing a little harder to pull off, I would think...

Edit2: Imaginary bonus points for the complete lack of grind. Yes you have to get a job, but it's a plot device (gaining books, mostly, at this point), and a single image. In and out in five seconds!

i mean, this game is funny to read, with really well done characters, who got an amazing relationship beetwen them.

I loved this game. Nice music, well written dialogues, excellent story. CGs are quite amazing, lewd scenes are pretty damn good too.

I do not have foot fetish but in game foot actions didn't bother me. Actually I liked it.

In my opinion, this ongoing 0.25(2019-02-07) version is much better than old 0.4 version.

The gameplay is strange and simplistic. For example you can't walk around or even change rooms by your own. All choices and movements are multiple choice textbased. But the game is still one of my favorites because of the often funny screwball like dialogue, some crazy ideas and very erotic situations. And despite loads of text and dialogue it really IS a game and not a virtual novel on rails where there is only right or wrong. You can't explore the world in "Thinking About You" but most of your answers/choices really matter and lead you down different paths. Biggest letdown of the game: It doesn't have a reliable update pattern. It's been already 3 months since version 0.4. Can't wait for 0.5.

Damn good game. Love how them tease MC(me) Graphic is good but require better light on some scenes. Dialogs are also good. Love that MC can be strong or just an beggar. I can't wait for next update. I hope the creator gets many patreons and continue with next game when that is over.

so after replaying this game for 3rd time my thoughts are like this


Pros:
✓ Interesting graphics
✓ Rare non dumb dialogues
✓ Music kicks the perfect moments, sometimes made me laugh
✓ Free choice for a MC (in some way)

Cons:
- for now, too short to really immerse the game

The best part of this game is graphic, worse is plot and the worst is how mc is not likely to do anything meaningful in this game. Slow progress and many possibilities, nice one or bad ones. For now it is interesting position. I hope that there will be more possibilities freedom and indicator of success or failure in conversation. For example on Eva or Julia route, both or fail miserebly and fail both. Etc. For now there were some interesting instances/conversations etc.

This game is weird, unsettling and kinda wrong. The writing creates an unnerving but still erotic tone and even the spelling and grammatical errors work in its favor. It also builds tension and releases it in a much better manner than most of these sorts of games.

I liked it and hope to see more. I thought it had some funny dialogue and there was creativity in coming up with the situations. Another thing I like very much is that it doesn't make you grind and grind and grind and grind like some other games. The girls are pretty, too.

I like it. For porn it has almost believe characters behaving normally. They call each other by their names and not "brother" or "sister" which only happens in porn and Japan. The sister is really cute, the other character not so much, but there's substance to the plot and the character's interactions to one another. It's not just getting straight into her pants and moving on to the next time you get into her pants.

This game (0.3) certainly has its flaws, but I can easily overlook those while playing this short and humorous phantasy.
The mentioned lack of dialogue is a bit of a pity, mostly because it makes the whole game not replayable.

Just let me be plain though that there's not actual sex in this game so far. It's about an older sister being ashamed but flattered by her younger brother's love towards her.
So far this is done with the exchange of fantasies, promises of things to come in the future and a portion of voyeurism.
There's a bit of foot fetish in there, but not as a main theme, as someone who's not into it personally it didn't bother me.

I'm quite excited for the next version, things promise to get quite exciting!

If you look for 30-45min of nice story with a bit of a tease though I highly recommend it.

(First and foremost, I would like to offer my apologies that my english isn't perfect)

- funny dialogues with a great sense of humour, the texts contain a few literary and cinematographic references. I'm sure that Noir Desir has experience in writing.
- different roads for a decent replayability
- Hidden scenes
- A good and innovative artistic direction.
- Nice music
- Menus with simple controls and ergonomically designed.

In conclusion, it's a very good first visual novel by Noir Desir.

Edit : I am very disappointed byThe anniversary edition (0.4). Terrible update. Meandering dialogue, and not much more. I see this like a "regression".

Sorry, but this game was not my cup of tea. It is very very verbose. The dialogues are pointless and go on forever. I also really dislike the lack of choice. If you decline to kiss her, she kisses you. If you pull away from her on the train, she rubs up against you until you orgasm! If you choose not to peek at Evie, what happens? You guessed it - you peek anyway. A distinct lack of agency, long long conversations (that frankly are rather deranged) and a disabled skip. No thanks.
