VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - This Is Not Heaven [Final Update 5] [Altered Vision]

Really enjoyed this one. It's not perfect (no game on this site is) but the story has a little more going on than the usual bang all your family members story line, the animations are above average, there's no broken English/spelling/grammar errors (that I noticed) and each character actually has some semblance of a personality. There's a handful of games on this site I like to check back in on every once and awhile and this is definitely going to be added to that list. Good work!

While the animations are a bit ropey the story is actually quite good, later chapters it gets very dark with some shocking twists and events that will genuinely have an impact as the characters are very well developed from a story standpoint, my only other gripe is the protagonist doesn't have much a story to him

All the girls are the Simpsons, only darker.

A message for a poll that has been over for ages?
A message, in the middle of a scene, about Dev taking some break?
A message warning that somet¡hing good will happen and you should save?

This dev loves 4th wall breaking. Instead of letting me playi why dont he just tell me what is gonna happen so i can stop reading this crap and decide if whats gonna happen is of interest to me?

Have to be boyfriends with Nina who is dark orange with red hair, i cant disinguish her hair from her nipples, but still later there is sex with her, even with the WT picking the wrong choices, still lots of sex with her, wich is nice if you like her, if not its a lot of skipping.

Characters are not that interesting to make me like them, and dont look well enough to make up for it. The only thing left is the incest thing, which is hinted and almost forgotten,i doubt its gonna be balanced and itneresting. Right now has been sent to the background with Lila.

Sex scenes seem to be straight forward with default animations. Not much foreplay, sex talk or whatever, hardly reaches average level.

Overall the game is boring, maybe it raises ecpectations the first 20 minutes but they fall soon. A very amateur work

I wanted to like this game. It has lots of girls - which are some strange mix of cute face attached to cartoonish body.
The Good:
- really cute faced girls
-occasionally hot upper bodies
- lots of lewd content
The Bad
- the story has potential, but it is so poorly written that it becomes irrelevant.
- lengthy mostly insignificant dialogs
- botched genitals
- strange looking legs (probably illusion)
the Ugly
- almost all scenes are quasi censored. The angles chosen hide the penetration -especially during the rare anal scenes - you have to take the dev word about it - it could be anything.

The girls all look great, story is unique. Its a shame the developer has decided to end the project prematurely but understandable since it didnt manage to make a proper income for the amount of time put in. Seriously though, he managed to make 1 month updates that are bigger than what some of the $5-10k a patreon games put out in a year. Dude seriously deserved some of that but unfortunately its not a highschool setting so he was doomed from the start.

tldr: got baited by incest&romance tag and the premise of living with sisters and mom, got switched to random cumdump cousin that appeared out of nowhere.

also, nonsense conversations, 'fool', 'haha', a fuckton of spelling and grammatical errors (is it machine translated ? feels like it most of the time).

plotholes, inconsistent behavior, borderline retarded reasoning/decision making, kinetic novel (your decision dont have any impact on how the story progresses, at least as far as i have played), shoving the patreon into your face with long gone votings.

look, you either do a serious game with a proper plot, buildup, character introductions&development etc, or you make a simple porngame with porn logic and satisfactory scenes.
Making a game with pornlogic, and not providing conclusions/satisfactions to that, just leaves a bad taste after playing, cause its a waste of time.

Excellent game so far, love the animation and storyline holds. Can't wait to see future updates.

I've enjoyed the game, it has good renders and animations, the writing could use some improvement but is decent overall. There's a supernatural plot which is interesting, looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Pacing with some girls is a bit off, particularly things were heating up with Megan at the beginning, but then things were kinda dropped until much later. This is probably the case of having too many girls to go after, keeping it more focused would be better, IMO.

Interesting decision with lightning at night time scenes, I actually dig them being dark which felt more intimate.
The apartment environments could use some work, it feels a bit bland and empty.

The dev is improving and listens to feedback, good luck with the game!

I can't play this game anymore and I can NOT recommend it to anyone, if you can even call this a game and not just a marketing device for the Dev's patreon account. The writing starts out completely atrocious and entirely inconsistent the MC's personality swings from so prudish that he gives preachers a run for their money to so outlandish that porn stars would be put to shame. Every time the player is given a choice between two things, like choosing an outfit for one of the girls for example, the game stops everything goes to a black screen and says "go check out my patreon where we are having a poll to decide this decision" even though that was SEVERAL MONTHS AND VERSIONS AGO! I get trying to drum up support for your project, I really do, but this dev goes completely overboard and doesn't remove anything that is already in the game. For example between versions 0.5 and 0.6 the dev took a break, well TO THIS DAY there is basically a dev blog randomly inserted in the game telling the player about how they took a break. There are almost nonstop grammatical and spelling errors, the MC is often referred to as Her while the girls are referred to as Him, and these issues are throughout the game meaning NOONE went back and fixed these errors after release. The girls are very attractive, decently written and well posed but with all the issues listed above I can't give this game above a 2 star rating and the ONLY reason that it even gets that is because of the girls.

Good Points
+Until version 0.2 content our renders looks pretty bad but after that they are starting look more decent and we are in 0.8 so its ok. Renders looks decent enough.
+We have animations and they look decent enough aswell.
+We have little bit interesting story but writing can use some work.

Bad Points
-Writing is little bit poor and lots of dialogue's dont make sense at all. For example in one scene girl leaving room because of awkward moment and she should say ''I... I'm LEAVING! Sorry!'' but instead she says ''I...I'm COMING! Sorry'' and its just one thing. We have lots of wrongly writed dialogue in our game. Sometimes grammer problems, sometimes missspelled words, sometimes when MC talk we see that dialogue in other person etc. Basically its makes everyting hard to understand and boring aswell.
-Prologue takes to much time and its boring! I spend hours for reaching actualy sexsual content and it was boring! Maybe its because of our story not well writed but it was pretty boring.
-Why you are using ''Fool'' word to much? Its just lost all meaning when you use in every dialogue like that...

For The End
Well its not bad game but its like wast own potencial. After some part of story probably 0.3 or 0.4 i just start skipping all dialogues and looking sex scenes. They were good but i cant play with that much bad story telling... I'm feeling little bit sad but this game give me headache with that amount of grammer problem even for me like non-english native person with grammer problems this game grammer level is pretty low... Thanks for your all efforts but you should consider find decent transletor for this game and you should redone all dialogues from the begining. Becaeuse every new player like me going to see all that dialogues from the begining and its not good at all.

I honestly didn't expect this game to be so enjoyable. It's cute for sure.
For me the dialogue feels natural and well done. Yes it's HS and not the best quality i've seen for a HS game but the animations are really great. I've not played that long into it so maybe the graphics improve ill have to see.

The girls range from hot/cute to just plain damn hotness. The story is so far intriging and Lila is cute and hopefully later on become more than a little "casper".

Truly if you just want a good fun enjoyable game with some nice sexy scenes but not just slapped in there just cause it's a porn game then give this a try.

This is not heaven is a great game. Renders and girls are beautiful. Lewd scenes are hot. This visual engine is not my favorite but this game is quality work. I'm looking forward to new updates in the future.

I think the confusion other reviewers have mentioned is a result of some well-paced story-telling. As it evolves, the sense that we are gradually discovering mysterious things that we were not privy to from the start becomes more palpable, and keeps me interested in how things will turn out — who is the spirit? What is her actual connection to the MC? Why can she sometimes touch him and sometimes not? Who is the spirit searching for, and who is her anonymous (to us) advisor? How will he progress with the women in the house, or outside the house?

I am less concerned about the models than many here. I don't know the developer's financial situation, but it takes a massive rig to render Daz3d in a reasonable amount of time, or design custom models. The ones he has are cute and sexy, so I don't worry about that too much.

One of the most interesting things about this VN is the degree to which the characters have more-realistic emotional responses to events than in most incest stories--there is a significant hiatus during which the related individuals struggle with their reactions to their taboo attractions and connections. It's another example of well-crafted story-telling.

For those who are wondering about the hiatus, I feel sure that it will come to a happy end before long.

I am a sucker for a mystery. And this game got a couple of things that got me very curious about what is going on with one of the main characters. So I replayed it a couple of more times and are waiting for an update to figure out more.

Why did an important character just vanish and the main story seems to stop pretty much as soon as it starts?
How the hell did MC spend 5 years learning the culture, religion and so on, but is absolutely clueless about any of it when the story starts?
It's just a mess, really.

Actually I dropped it rather fast at first. Because images (HS screenshots) are worse than average. But then decided to give it another go - and... gradually got used to the graphics and the characters. The language is pretty decent. Especially if the native language of the developer is Spanish. Story is also somewhat interesting.

I would give it 5 if not the renders' quality. HS Engine allows much better (you can check some other games made in HS). Though graphics seem to become a bit better later on. Plus some models need a remake imho. Because currently you can't distinguish mother from sisters without a caption.

Alright guys another honey select game that is very good . So just like mur mur there is a ghost kind of but it is not in school setting but job setting i guess . Game is good overall . Renders are fine and tanned . Animations are also very good like the standard of honeyselect games . Story telling and humor is upto mark . Idk but this game is kind of underrated . Hope more people play it and rate it.

I'd call this a very middle of the road porn game, it sells itself on its writing, but suffers from the usual suspects. Irrational behavior everywhere, inconsistent character writing, few choices and most don't really seem to have much of an impact on the story, etc etc. While it does touch on a pet peeve of mine, giving most of the actual sex to a side character who isn't otherwise interacted with, the writing is generally inoffensive on the whole beyond the issues mentioned. As for the visuals, the graphics are fine, exactly what you'd think a game utilizing Honey Select would look like, not gonna fault someone for using the tools available. Overall, while this isn't something you're likely to write home about, it doesn't waste your time, there's no grinding, no menuing, and usually no question of which road leads to more tiddy.

This review is mainly about the visual stuff. The models are hot, they all have cute/pretty faces, bodies are fit with round asses and excellent tits. The teasing outfits and girls running around in panties is the best part in my opinion. Ass shots are SO hot. I really like the way the outfits are fitted to the models there is some real attention to detail here.
