VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - This Is Not Heaven [Final Update 5] [Altered Vision]

The story's intriguing, the characters are pretty great, and the sex scenes are very good. I especially look forward for the voyeur stuff where you do all kinds of stuff with the girls. Good luck with your finals and keep it up!

This is an update from my review from June of 2020

As of the current update. This VN is a hot mess of a story.
I figured after 9 months there would be more clarity to what's actually going on with the story. I'm just left scratching my head wondering WTF.

Not a lot has changed about this VN.
The models are still blah
The story still makes no sense
The renders are good, but I wish there was more light in some scenes.
Still not sure about the spirit girl, and the MC is a complete bitch for most of the time.
There are a few instances where it seems like he has a spine but it's tossed out the window in the next instance.
Choices as far as I can tell have no impact. Why put them in there? I'm honestly impressed this VN has gone on this long.

Suggestions for the VN
Add a guide in there some where
Add stats for the women

A guide would offer some direction to the story, maybe
Stats would help understand the women more. Helping with knowing if the MC is making progress.
I'm passing this one up. Only my opinion on this VN.

Nice game, no doubts about it. This story, the characters, even the level of comedy that I don´t enjoy in this kind of games is just right in this one.

I´m giving it 4 stars only because some changes can be made to make the game better and I like to talk about them in case the developer is interested in a third person opinion: -It would be nice to know what time of the day is it, rather than just expecting a character to say it´s getting late to know that (because the MC spends a lot of time indoors, there´s no way to tell the time and that feels disorienting). -Better transitions between long time skips would be pretty good, I´d like it if there was a way to fill those Thirty minutes later. -I thing it´s weird that the only proof that Jill is old is her hair and the fact that the characters mention it. It´s not impossible that a girl her age looks that young, but it takes away some realism and makes you not forget it´s a videogame. -The last reason I give it 4 stars is because there is not too much content yet but that can be solved eventually, right?

I particularly enjoy characters like Lila, Stephany and Kiara. You are doing a great good job, developer, please keep it going!

Quick foreword: My review is not pretending to be objective, this is simply how I see things:

The Good:
- Models a freaking gorgeous
- You aren't "just" a creep, everyone is into you. Magic penis syndrome
- The MC is on the peak of being too retarded to bear, but he isn't quite there yet. Obviously he isn't great either.
- That's about it

The Bad:
- The story is absolutely horrible
- The english is fine, but the writing is not
- The plot is inane
- The porn is avarage at best

A bit more details on the matter - The story feels like it was written by either a kid or someone who is very immature. This is not an attack towards the dev, but simply what my gut tells me when I read anything in this game.

And in this sense, I feel like the story has absolutely no chance whatsoever to get better. It's just simple and stupid. It's not well thought out, it's not well written. It treats the "show, don't tell" rule almost as if it were the anti-Christ and it must be banished from this world ASAP.

I actually love games that have a very basic premise: "your family is smoking hot, you found this magic ring. Time to rape to your heart's content". But this game is not like that, it has pages and pages of inane and child-like story-telling that meanders and goes nowhere, just to explain "MC gots magic, family want bang him".

It's pointless. I personally would not waste my time on this game.

Pretty good for a 0.1 version Animation was solid enough however there were a few spelling and grammar mistakes that popped up from time to time. Still looks interesting enough so hopefully there will be more content in a few updates.
