Unity - ThornSin [v0.6.8] [Scarlet Paper]

This is a really good game, and really touches on great elements of a side scrolling experience. I am looking forward to future updates, however I would like to see a cheat engine implemented in the game itself. This game offered great content, and the female protagonist is amazing and very pretty. I love the gameplay mechanics in this game, and really admire that the player is able to remove specific equipment of the character. Great game and very well polished, I would recommend this game to people, and I gave this game an excellent rating. I really like this game.

The game shows promise with its intriguing concept, but falls short in execution. While the idea behind the game is engaging, there are noticeable shortcomings, primarily in the animation. A significant portion of the game lacks the animations necessary to bring it to life, leaving it feeling incomplete and lacking polish. Additionally, it's disappointing to encounter numerous functionalities that don't work as intended. With some improvements and bug fixes, this game could potentially fulfill its potential, but as it stands, it leaves much to be desired.

HOLY SHIT! this has been so much better, it's unreal. I remember playing this when it was at 0.1v and it wasn't even 1/10 game it is today. Just the menu and opening effects have become so much more beautiful... the creator certainly has taste. There so much little after-effects here and there THAT REALLY SELL THE GAME, like the game would have worked without them but the creator made them anyway. this really shows how much love/diligence was put into this game while it is only at version 0.3

Huge improvement in animations and combat mechanics. really really nice lvel design and overall really cool economy and looting system for easy upgrades and buffs. needs some form of a save system at some point of course but really amazing stuff so far. so much better than the initial releases. keep the enemies diverse and the bosses challenging. i do wish there was more combo enemy animations though. maybe in the future.

Boys, we have a masterpiece on our hands here.

The idle animations and combat animations are BEAUTIFUL and SMOOTH, the last time I saw such quality I was playing Alien Quest EVE, the H-scenes are also fantastically animated.

The game might be a little difficult cause, you have no way of regenerating health and you gotta go through so many dungeons, but that's fine, the game is a challenge to beat. Actually there are some health regen items n stuff, but not very reliable.

Can't wait for the full release.

I am giving five stars as i can see great potential in this game. Gameplay is simple (atm, later maybe it will be expanded with larger pool of items, attacks, etc.) yet enjoyable, protagonist is good looking, h-scenes nicely done (especially game over one). Atm (0.2.8.) it is short but as i said before - there is potential. Definietely one of the better games in this category (and in general) on this site.

Easily one of the best games on the site by a significant margin. Solid and engaging gameplay, and fantastic ero-scenes as well as a proper difficulty curve that makes it so that the game isn't impossibly frustrating, but your losses are always genuine and your defeat is that much sweeter.

I rarely give any game 5 stars, moreover, this is not finished yet, but this one well deserves that rating.
Pros:
1) A stunning protagonist

4) Lewd scenes
5) What's most important, the game is FUN, like games should be.

Cons: I repeat, it's not finished yet, and a bit too short, but I hope it gets to the finish line soon and passes it with flying colors.

I am not fan of these games but trying this game is soo great the animation is good and combat is balanced and works very well .. just I hope more story and different way to corrupt the mc and turn her in to bitch or demon or whatever or whatever in the bath get into her make events and choices to slaver or something anyway looking forward to next updates

great game, great graphics, mechanics are excellent. The level design being a roguelike makes it a very fun repeatable experience. The fighting mechanics are simplistic, but enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend this game if you like pregnancy or anything in that kink.

Good game overall, though kind of buggy and unbalanced making it quite an annoying experience.

Its fun when it works, kind of balanced (skill wise, items vary from great to awful), already has a fair amount of content, wildly erotic, customizable, always different.

The major complaints are:

• getting intentionally pregnant / scenes- it gets harder due to spawned 'guardians' always defending you;
• alignment from items (and acts) isn't always obvious or matter;
• unbalanced design- THE FUCKING SNAIL enemy is stronger than every boss due to insta-fuck mid-range attack and damage immune state;
• dickish design- final area is enemy spam.

Minor complaints:
There's some unlockable content, but not a way to see them or hints/ guides/ achievement to know they exist;
No Gallery for CGs and enemy 'interactions';
Clothing damage status is useless;
There are empty rooms, though they are not uncommon;
Locked chests are too big of a risk;
'Guardians' that attack are very weak;
Going for a pure run is an unrewarded challange (besides an achievement);

Current bugs:
Incorrect (inaccurate, bugged) item descriptions;
Some weird translations (sentence cut-off);
Translation option isn't fully working;

This game is basically a rogue like game where you control a hot nun who needs to defeat some monsters on a dungeon.
The game is very short, you probably can finish it in 1-2 hours.
The H content is very good, despite not having many H scenes, the H animations and graphics are pretty good and sexy. The game also has a pregnancy system, where each time an enemy cums inside her, she has chances of getting pregnant, the chances are higher if she is ovulating.
After you clear some stages, the game will show a birth animation where the heroine gives birth to a baby and this baby becomes your ally, each ally has a specific ability which depends on which enemy impregnanted the heroine.
Also this game is kinda similar to games like Night of Revenge, but one of the main differences is that this game does not has any gore shit, so you can enjoy the H scenes without worrying about these stuffs.

ThornSin [v0.2.0] Review

This game surprised me. I was expecting a mediocre game but I had great fun playing this early build. It has rogue-like elements and open for improvements. Difficulty settings are great and makes the game fun for everyone. I believe with the future updates it'll be a masterpiece. Right now this game lacking variety, passives and more h-content. Grabbing and getting grabbed, succubus builds etc. would be great to see as new updates. Looking forward to it.

Verdict: 10/10. I liked what I saw.

• There is not enough. Ends at level 2-5
• Has no Patreon so is more difficult to give your money to them to ensure his development

Great potential, I can see this become the next NoR, or even better. Art is amazing, combat is fluid, and the h-scenes that are there are hot. But as is it's still pretty bare bones and without much h-scenes.

awesome! can't wait for more! Next I'm hoping for a save/load system so I don't have to keep starting over when I die. I like the combat and 2d scrolling. Ovuation mechanic is cool too. It would be nice to see a gallery unlock at some point too

The game is a side scroller that plays very similarly to games like Rogue Legacy and Dead Cells. Obviously it doesn't possess the depths of games like those above but any familiarity with games in that vein will lend itself to playing this one.

At the moment there are 2 "worlds" that are split into 5 levels each, with the first one ending in a boss and the second in a teleporter that simply returns you to your starting room.

In the starting room you have access to a difficulty selection and a wardrobe that lets you dress the main character up, or down, depending on your preferences.

Gameplay is simple, run, dodge, attack, and use magic to clear the room and be able to progress to the next room.

Enemies are fairly simple and possess 2 attack types. The first does damage, that's it. These attacks are very easy to dodge and don't really pose a threat. The second type of attack is the bread and butter of the game and the catalyst for the H scenes. When enemies flash red, the attack they unleash will knock the player to the ground, at which time the enemies will close in and the nearest one will begin the sex scene.

Sex scenes cause small amounts of damage and now have the potential to impregnate the player. If pregnant, the player will see their belly grow as they clear rooms, up until the point where they will give birth. The offspring will be represented by a simple sprite and become a "guardian" and these guardians will have certain abilities based on which enemy fathered them.

The art is absolutely superb. Enough said.

I won't lie, the only reason I even gave this game a shot was because it popped up on my pregnancy + female protag filter on the Updates page. Typically, I despise side scrollers and find them lazy and boring. Though this game's combat doesn't really do much to put it apart from others like it, the sex scenes and art are more than enough to counter its relatively generic base.

What's already here is an easy 5 stars, and if it continues on this track, I can't imagine that rating getting any worse.

A... Curious effort at a side-scrolling rogue-lite. However, it has a great many flaws that leave much to be desired.

In points:

• Combat, or the game's main focus (-2*):
  • Floaty controls: sometimes if you jump too near a ledge, the girl won't jump. Sometimes when you click dodge she won't dodge. Attacks feel floaty and lack impact.
  • Camera zooms in too close; both your and enemy's movement speeds cover the entirety of your field of vision in moments and can get cheap hits (attack spamming is encouraged to stunlock whatever is approaching, especially on chapter 2-X where nearly everything has high movespeed).
  • There's occasionally rooms with unlocked respawning treasure chests, so you can get infinite gold, keys, healing and fill your item bar with whatever you want by going out of and back into that tile.
• Runtime & Lack of challenge (-1*):
  • Look, I played this thing on the hardest difficulty it had to offer. I took a grand total of three hits. All of them cheap shots. The boss showed up and got taken down without even grazing me, then I blitzed through to the next boss - but there isn't one, apparently. Game ends after 2-5. Cuts to black. "Here's your scoreboard".
  • In total, it took me 45 minutes (a playtime that was padded by searching every tile and even going AFK for a bit). That's not a great runtime.
  • And what's there isn't very interesting; there's a distinct lack of enemy variety so all the game can do is spawn more goons that get stunlocked or spawn one of the three things that don't but are easily dealt with anyway via dodging. I won on my first run, and that's when I didn't know what the hell I was doing, which brings me to my next point.
• Lack of information (-1*):
  • So you can't drop consumables once you pick 'em up, but the game won't tell you that (or if you can, I've no idea how). You get two consumable slots, so they're pretty important. But, here's the catch: the game won't tell you what a consumable does until after you picked it up! Some consumables do standard things; "+2 attack until the next room". Some do... Different things, such as making the girl ovulate. Now, if you're going for the "good girl" route this potion is actively harmful to you, but you won't know that it exists until you picked it up.
  • Sometimes, when you pick a relic you get good points. Sometimes, you get bad points. Most will give you none. The game won't tell you if an item you're considering will give you one or the other or none.
  • Most relics don't tell you what they do in numbers. "Increases attackspeed but decreases attack" - OK, but I'm hitting for 6-8 damage, how much will it decrease my attack by? "I'm not telling you!" "Increases lightning damage" - OK, by how much? "No comment!" and so on, and so forth.

Ultimately, when I completed my first run I felt no desire to keep going, and no amount of unlocks will fix that. Because the controls aren't tight, they're not responsive enough, the enemies aren't fun to fight and the camera zoom is obnoxious.

It seems like it's going to be one of those rare gems. Content right now is only 1 or 2 levels I think, but the animations are very well done, the art is beautiful, you can customize the heroin's clothes (or have none), there is randomized levels and item collections, controls are responsive and combat is fun for 2d, there is pregnancy planned... I hope the list continues later with as much props to the creator. Highly recommend supporting them, ci-en is only 3.50 usd a month.

As of 0.2.5:
Birthing event + your children follow you and help you in combat. The child you bear is also randomized and also categorized based on what impregnated you. I love that concept. They are also starting to develop more roguelite pickups, but it definitely still needs a lot more expansion. Sex scenes continue to be great, the new one especially. High hopes still.
