Oooh, sorry. I see what you mean! The popular 3D visual novels! I understand. Thank you!

I don't want to buy assets because I'd be limited by them and they'd take over the whole vibe of the game. I was thinking of going deep into manual editing of assets - not "Generate girl" in SD. More like sketching (EDIT: or staging), placing, planning and then generating assets bit by bit, until I get exactly what I want. Roughly the same work an artist would do, if an artist had broken fingers. I'm THAT bad at drawing. It's unfortunate. But, I can sketch a scene, say, build a room in Google Sketch then AI gen over it to get exactly what I want.

P.S. I'm currently thinking 2D assets, Ren'Py, open world, 5 hour playtime. Think Summertime Saga, but tiny. I also have a detailed story, characters, etc.

My main two questions are about the art, and another one about the fetishes and getting approved by Patreon, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. First, I gotta make something F95 can enjoy. For free, obv.
I think this, using sketches to generate art, could be a good idea. I've been doing some things with AI that come out very differently between using a prompt and using a model (I've been using myself), including hair color and things that I cant get a prompt to do. That sort of leads me to believe that there is something between fully AI and not fully AI that can net you a unique look you can't get with a prompt.

Though you can always photoshop the result as necessary! Id recommend doing some post processing that would get rid of that surreal "looks like plastic/weirdly shiny" kind of look that AI generators are good at spitting out.

Remove the story and gameplay. Are they still as high profile? Remember, I didn't say that art doesn't matter--in fact, it's very important--but rather that it takes second place to story and gameplay.
No. Still no mate. Players come for the art first, then stick around for the story and gameplay. The art is always the first thing you see in a game. Saying that's it's secondary, or even less important, is silly.

Gaming is really a very complex medium, where everything, including the music, is important to the immersion and feel of the game, any part can bring the game up, or bring the game down.

For some people, agree. For some people, disagree. Just like everything else there are very few people who are on the exact same page. When it comes to adult games the art is important to me, when it comes to gameplay games the art/graphics are secondary to the actual play. Other people can play adult games with 8bit sex without blinking and love it. Making statements that imply that players all think the same thing is just...wrong.
