Overview:
Throne of Empire is Visual Novel about Great Empire of Valarium in Ancient Fantasy World full of naughty and shocking stories about corruption, murders, treasons and adulteries.
"Throne of Empire" is a classic Visual Novel in which you will act as young Princess Diana that came to Capital as bride for Crown-Prince from Rosefordshire. Diana is a favourite daughter of powerfull and respected man - Lord Roseford, so she was told to represent the Roseford House in Capital with honor.
At the same time different elite groups are trying to seize power in Empire as the Emperor weakens every day and Crown-Prince is too young and inexperienced, despite he is bright and brave. Can Diana stay faithful to his beloved husband groom and support him at difficult times? Will the rightful heir take the throne, or will the conspirators seize power?
It is up to your decision, whether Diana plays a role of ideal bride and wife or, perhaps, she has something in her mind and plays her own games.

Not sure if sarcasm.
It is the same as with good girl gone bad, basically a connect the dots and coloring book for kids, as it is a picture that was (most likely) filtered into a sketch and thne coloured, making it look quite uncanny valley.
who gives a shit. what's important is the content and that we have fun. Ever heard the saying "neever judge a book by its cover"? Yeah

For a v 0.1 it has way too little content. It's more like an intro. It won't succeed if it doesn't change, GGGB succeeded because it bombarded people with content and then slowed it down due to all the paths one could take. It is very interesting I really enjoy court intrigue and the like but I gotta see more before I commit funds to this project. So far not satisfied.

Well, if neither there being a content nor "fun" (assume innovation in that case), we are left with... A finished unncanny coloring book.

Being critical is important, especially when all we see are these western patreon shills that release 0.01 version and leave it at it in most cases. Even if it continues in development, it was released as extremely barebones, leaving a sore aftertaste that you dont really want to esperience again.

Have some standards, man.

Also, about judging by its cover.
Considering I play mostly purely text based hgames, your remark is completely invalidated by that, but nice try defending patreonization of con artists.

Very nice artwork that's what initially drew me to this :) just a shame it was so short would have prefered a little bit more gameplay.

Three different release versions planned
$25 for beta access
No public roadmap, roadmap is patron only. So you have to pay to know what youre paying for.
$200 a month goal before the game will be updated properly
$7000 a month before the dev hires any part time help
Censored
Shitty traced art
Engrish - even in the title
Dev rebranding and starting fresh patreon?

Scam maybe? Hmmmm.....

I honestly don't see the point to show your project while there is no content yet, you are not the only one doing it but it's an overall very bad habit.

I think that coming up with a game wich has already a good amount of scenes and content will make a much better impression than coming with almost nothing and expanding from that, by doing that you are making people sceptical about your game and you are puting them in a position where they are just waiting.

Now good luck with your visual novel i hope it will be decent, but that's a common simple mistake that a lot of people make and it's actually bad and unnecessary.

and btw the money goals on your patreon doesn't make any sense and just seems greedy. Like are you going to wait for people to give you 500$/month in order to add "spicy content" ?

Just do your thing without thinking about money man, do a ton of content and then comes up with your game and a patreon if you want. So tired of people coming up with fucking patreons for everyting before they even made something, what a stupid trend.

Sometimes I don't understand game developers. Background images at 3200x1800 that are big rectangles of uniform color, no wonder it's 150MB for 17 images. I know disk space and bandwith is cheap, but once there is some content here it will grow into terabytes.

Impressions so far:
-Characters look nice. Even if it's (mostly) automated rotoscoping (aka pornoshop filter), it still takes some skill and the end result is better than bad 3dcgi (imho).
-Backgrounds don't look nice. Bland, blank, empty.
-The story is written in legible Engrish, but so far it's more of a exposition dump than a story.
-About 5 minutes of meh-quality content.

I, for one, wouldn't arsk for money at this stage of development, but what do I know? I'm a fish.
