The game is planned to be a 3 part series, to sustain development for such a long period, it is a sensible decision to target a broader audience than the minority of pure vanilla fans.

I suppose that he could also take out the sex altogether and take it to itch and Steam without the X rating.

kind of why my suggestion of some kind of hybrid with 3 options but not sure if he would want to do a single 1 was just a suggestion nothing more

#1 animated / pose scenes for both softcore and hardcore and let the player pose ( tho I dont see this one making sense cause it would increase dev time)
#2 some scenes will stay softcore and others won't
#3 have some of the poses and animations be softcore and others won't be during the sex scenes that way you get a bit of both. ( this imo is probably the best option if the dev wants to keep them as it's their original intention for the game as #1 would just mean increase and dev time and no one wants that)

Either tak continues with the softcore vision, or turn the game explicit. While i agree this would be good, but the extra work load & time to make it hybrid is just not worth it in my opinion.
