It's a Selectacorp game, if you know em you'll know they essentially make the same game over and over again, and this one is no different. Boomer misogyny done up into something efficiently erotic, wild careening turns into 'white slavery' content, a generally skeezy and unpleasant aura that makes you wonder as to the developer's deep-seated racial prejudices, you know what you're getting into.

Now, this does show a lot of promise, but its marred by a series of pretty rough design problems. Namely, the game relies upon the player earning money to progress, but the ways in which you get money are extremely limited and unreliable, and its essentially guaranteed you'll half-softlock yourself even if you know what you're doing. The game has three 'personal stats', of which Charm is by far the most useful and also essentially impossible to level up if low. Having said that this is an early build and things will presumably improve, but you better savescum like this is a JRPG if you want a semi-decent experience.

A worse version of Company Man, the first game by the developer, Selectacorp. After digging further, I see that the dev has started way more games of varying quality than I expected, only ever hearing of the first one. As of this review, the game boasts a very confusing map to new players, due to the fact that you're immediately given half of it and most of it is empty. The game has the illusion of choice, but in reality there's really only one real way to progress at any given time. Sex scenes are non-repeatable and also play out in a static, uncontrollable box, forcing you to watch them from start to finish without being able to skip through to the good stuff. Characters are rarely fleshed out besides their stereotype (pervy photographer, deadbeat stepdad, trailer trash girl moving to the big city, etc.) And after you're finished with a particular character you just can't really do anything with them. Mechanics are not explained well and stat-checks sometimes just forget to give you feedback on if you succeeded or not. When you FAIL a stat-check, you oftentimes get the scene you would have gotten for succeeding, but you're forced to redo the scene again until you succeed the check. It's buggy and not worth your time.

Also, for some reason, all the scenes in this game have some sort of awful, eye-popping deepfake filter on the girls. It's not THAT noticeable in some scenes, but in others the filter pretends the girls' eyes are open when she closes them, and it creates this ugly monstrosity. I came here for the porn and you can't even do that right. Oh, AI generated voices for the dialogue too. It sounds bad. Thumbs down.

Overall I spent a few hours playing this game and I just generally didn't have fun. I'd recommend giving Company Man a try and seeing how you like it before trying Tinsel Town or any of the other slop this developer has put out. As of right now, this game isn't worth playing.

This game is actually extremely promising for your real porn genre. Usually the writing on those games can be a little bit too simplistic. This one actually has a nice layout for the corruption fans. It gets to that corruption a little fast at times. It would be better suited for girls to progress through the modeling slower before moving into the porn studios depending on their level of desperation, but their motivation is set up well for the most part.

I like the open world but finding stories could be made a little easier. Opening locations that have no content seems unnecessarily confusing. So that could be mapped out better.

Where the game could benefit most is the use of real porn. As with most of those types of games, character consistency is an issue. Even when you have a prolific actress like Reily Reid in the games, you still rely on deepfakes for some reason. She has scenes out there for every scenario. But ultimately this game would benefit from AI. Get images like those in the Dancing Inn with this storyline and you'll be making money. And pay attention to making the image fit the character. The porn producer is good but too young. He should be sleazy. Same with the main character. Not sleazy but at least in his thirties based on the story. And diversify you females. The small city girl straight off the bus shouldn't look like a california girl. The lesbian with a crush, should look more like a stereotypical lesbian in comparison to her cheerleader crush. Maybe slip in an Asian or Black girl for some variety. All of this is easier with AI. Just use real porn stars for your base prompts.

Edit: Wrote this review before realising it was a Selectacorp game. So unlikely they would move away from their current mold. Too bad because this is one of their better games IMO
