Hello everyone!

I could use some tips for making a game.
I just started with RPG Maker MZ, and it looks good for someone like me who can only code a simple “Hello World” line.
I was hoping that some more experienced developers could answer whether it’s a good starting point for making a game, and what kind of drawing tools are best for creating scenes.
I’m thinking of going for a cartoon/animated style, something a bit like Summertime Saga.
This is just a little hobby I picked up, so I don’t really need to go too hardcore with it.

Thanks in advance for any answers! :)

Do you know any good program to draw and animate stuff? Like cartoon/anime style. :)
I've pretty much always used Krita after switching to it from photoshop. Animating is easier in live2D, though I've got very little experience there.

If you're asking for AI, you're really asking the wrong guy.

No AI :) I want to learn myself
Based. I can absolutely recommend Krita then. I used it semi-professionally for a decent chunk. As for learning how to draw, I'm gonna pull out an old name and say Mark Crilley's old youtube tutorials were always a big help when I got "stuck" on something in the past, but there's probably millions of tutorials on youtube by now. Jazza has a bunch specifically focused on digitial artwork.

Good luck, my man.

Krita is a good tool to start with. I would suggest starting with a small, manageable project with a clear end goal in mind. I would suggest a short comic. A short story with a beginning, middle and end. Then, once you've finished that you can figure out if you're proud enough to post it online anywhere, and failing that make another small comic. Small manageable bites of creativity that will make you satisfied in your skills. Once you've got some pages done then perhaps you can test out some commercial software, like Clip Studio Paint or something, but like, just vibe and make things. That's how to learn to start.
