Guy spoonfed -everything- to such an extreme for years, the become the butt of the joke.

Ay, you never seen those big brained 'devs' at work.

The most hilarous with these people, it's they are using Blender as they would use Daz3D. They really think importing an asset they didn't made, setup its shader nodes and pressing F12 is mindblowing "work". Mind you they basically ignore 99% of software features (even without creating anything!). Consider yourself being lucky if you see a clean 5sec keyframed loop.

Some cool VFX? Ah, nope.
A small dynamic/animated shader? Hola, maybe later.
How about some camera projection stuff? One day.
Maybe some landscape using simple geometry nodes? Oh, god no.
Grooming some hair? Yikes.
Some funny physical sim? Tomorrow.
And so on & on.

And yet what make even things more hilarous, it's that they are failing at those very basic things. Despite being spoonfed 99% of everything critical they need, results are completely subpar. It's like making a garbage crappy slide-show in UE5, and asking why those dumb motherfuckers still use Renpy (Renpy is such a pile of garbage!).

I could share a ton of anecdotes I've seen over the years here or some Discord, but someone will call moderator lol.

Don't get me wrong, Daz3D has many flaws (I could write a long list), it will never be some 3D powerhouse with rich features (not it ever wanted to be, nor have the workforce). Yet it's succesfull at two things : being time/quality efficient (everything build on a single framework), being very easy to use (low ticket entry, everyone can give a shot). And it's already quite a lot.

My initial reaction was to be hostile, but now I'm genuinely concerned. Why are you always so angry? You've been going on unprovoked rants for years now. What's going on, buddy?

I remember when I "provoked" you. I had the audacity to do a Patreon post explaining how I took nearly a year off to get familiar with Blender. Someone later notified me that this was posted on my game thread and that you quoted it in some other unrelated thread to insult and mock me. You had a period where you went out of your way to find and insult anyone using Blender. That was my first interaction with you. It must be easy to get provoked by other people wanting to improve when you're a sad, insecure and bitter person. I want to have fun and learn more about my hobby, fuck me right?

Camera projection, the very thing any engine used to fake depth on a 2D image? I'm not even sure what even you're talking about. A dynamic/animated shader? VFX? There is basic tutorial absolutely everywhere. What even praise are you talking about? Where? Praise I got comes from render I posted here and there when I was still using Daz3D. Couldn't care less who ignore me or not.

You were literally using the search function to look for "Blender" on the forum just to find people to mock. You found my patreon post that a fan posted on my game thread regarding my move to Blender and decided to mock me despite us never having any interaction. Since then, you'd constantly leave bizarre passive aggressive comments whenever you'd see me. This has been going on for a few years now, let's not rewrite history.

Hell, in this thread alone you managed to get into a conflict with multiple people + a mod.

Yup, randomly dropping words to pretend you know what you're talking about yet never having anything to actually show. My favorite part is how you were a foam at the mouth Blender hater for years and the moment Diffeomorphic updated their auto conversion of Iray -> Eevee/Cycles to be pretty damn decent, you suddenly started liking Blender. Blender is cool now that someone else did the shader work for you? You'd think someone experienced in Vray would have no problem with Cycles, or are you an Arnold expert now? I lose track with your ever evolving and complex professional pipeline which mysteriously never materializes in anything to show.

And of course everyone was happy with diffeo when conversion went better, who in their right mind want to manual check thousand of surfaces? (I woudln't go diffeo for Eevee, but hey)

I know it might sound crazy but have you ever thought you may just want to use a software for your own pleasure/learning? (you could learn you can convert most Vray mat to Arnold). And that not everything has to be a boring porn slideshow, right? You should open the window and take some fresh air.

Boy, this thread has taken on a certain "ora" I guess.

Look personally, I have nothing against Daz, it's just that I use it mainly only to create my characters quickly "through some morph packages I purchased" and that's about it. I export everything to Blender for rendering. That is except for scenes, props, etc that I'm creating to sell on Daz, Renderosity, or Renderotica, then I set everything up and all to work in Daz and iRay because that's what the purchaser will expect.

Also no__name you're alright in my book. I have a bad reputation on Facebook Blender groups for being bitchy, insulting, etc to people asking dumb as questions like "how to I create a hidden affiliate link", or "my model has weird shading" how can I fix that? So you're good by me.
