To Hentai Artists out there - Do you get turned on by your own art?

If so, is it just the concept and ideas of the scene in your mind that turn you on? Can you spend hours of work pumping out a polished CG and still fap to the finished product?

As a spin-off question to erotic game devs, have you noticed any difference in your ability to enjoy/get turned on by other peoples' games after making one of your own?

Not gonna lie, I want to try my hand at making a game but for some reason, making a game that doesn't turn me on doesn't really appeal to me, especially if it somehow decreases my ability to enjoy other H-games.

Can't speak for everyone, but it's probably a lot like making music. You might not listen to your own stuff on repeat, but you try to make the kinda stuff you wanna listen to.

It turn me on during working but not at the point of distraction
But after that I play my game I feel arousal
Well… it’s my game my story
I’m an erotic novel writer that not writer to serve anyone
So story art gameplay in my game are my type
It just put me deeper in it more than make me bored of that type

but yes in other hand
It put me more stress every time I work on
Make something you like as a job sometimes make you bored to do it
But bored not the same thing as arousal
I very bored to write to draw but when I play I read I watch it just more deep like the same

Ask a porn star if they watch their own porn. Most will look at you like you're crazy. When you're the one doing the fucking making the porn, it can be enjoyable, but the pics and vids don't offer much in comparison.

As a writer I share an experience with others... I experienced it first hand. A few hundred pages about it, pales in comparison to having lived it.

As an artist, likewise I try to capture a moment, to share the experience with less fortunate individuals.
They pay lots of money to hang my painting on their wall so they can fap to it. You ask, does it turn me on?

As a photographer I see the original, in living color... you the viewer of that photo are seeing a small fraction of that.

As a game dev, again I experienced this first hand, or in my imagination. Did I get off on the blowjob, perhaps. Does the animation I made, based on the blowjob turn me on?

A pornstar doesn't get turned on by her own film because people generally don't get turned on by themselves.

On the other hand, people do get turned on by their own fantasies which is what we see in art and games. That's not an appropriate comparison.

Appreciate your thoughts though

Producers and consumers have different interests. We cook a batch and sell it to addicts, we don't use the product.
A cam girl does her show for money, not because she likes getting dick pics. The viewer pays to watch because he likes the fantasy. It's exactly the same making games... selling fantasy.

Take NTR for example. You watch it because you like seeing that guy fuck the girl of your dreams, she deserves that, but that's not why the dev made the game that way. The dev isn't playing the game, he made the game. You're playing with yourself, it's not two player. The dev won before you ever started.

Let's say you made a game of you and your girlfriend, would you share her with everyone, and get off thinking about millions of players doing your waifu? How dumb do you think devs are, they aren't gonna let you have their waifu.

I feel like I'm getting trolled but I'm not very good at reading it through text

On the off chance that you're not trolling me though, again, you're saying a bunch of stuff that's vaguely related but it doesn't really make sense.

People don't do their own drugs because they're smart enough to know that drugs are harmful but don't mind profiting off addicts.

Cam girls sell a fantasy, games sell a fantasy. That's a fine comparison but that's not an argument because the discussion isn't whether or not games sell a fantasy. Nobody is debating that.

Netorare is definitely a genre but you're nonironically describing a cuck. A cuck would indeed get off to people playing a game about fucking his girlfriend. That's exactly what the kink is. I'm not personally into it though.

The waifu argument is a bit weird. Many devs and artists do exactly the opposite of what you're implying. They draw their favourite characters for the precise reason of sharing it with others.

Game devs wouldn't get any work done with both hands on their cock all day.

A cuck watches other people have sex. Watching porn makes you a cuck. Adult games are made for cucks.

Real talk, your trolling is too subtle to be funny but I guess realistic enough to string people along (like myself until now).

6/10 for the entire thread; 8/10 for your last comment.

Yes, my game turns me on.

I love my girls; I have spent long hours customizing their look, building a personality for them, carefully posing them, and enjoying how they start to come virtual life.

Is hard to explain... but many times a render I just made tells me a story, is like the girl(s) in the image starts to express themselves to the point that their interactions even surprise me.

When I make a render I have a general idea of what is going on but I don't go into details until the render is finished.

It is exciting! Imagine a monstrous tornado of ideas and images ending on a pen's tip, Or in this case ending on two hands on a keyboard. :ROFLMAO:

I think my girls are beautiful, I think they're hot, I think they're also beautiful in the inside, they do -absolutely- turn me on.

Only a small percentage of the population have the ability to visualize and bring their creations to life in their imagination.
The majority can't even conceive that being possible, because they lack the capacity.

You nailed it when you describe trying to capture a maelstrom. The image that you catch in your butterfly net is but a split second of the big picture. While it may be beautiful, do you not agree that it fails to convey the whole of your imagining? It may be an award winning masterpiece, but to you the creator, is it not stillborn, devoid of the life it once had? As it's creator, when you look upon it, it serves as a key to unlock and bring back to life the living creation in your imagination, but when others see it, all they see is that split second.

The destructive process of rendering... reduces a 3 dimensional world to a single moment, flattened to 2D from a single perspective. 359 degrees times 359 degrees are missing... a mere shadow of it's former glory.

We'll always have Paris, but all our fans get is a lousy tee shirt.

I haven't done anything lewd in my game so I wouldn't know.

I describe it like this. If someone else made the same exact game I'm making, it'd be my favorite game and I'd be jizzing gallons. But unfortunately... because I am the person writing/creating it... the novelty of playing it died after the first 8 times testing the first chapter.

Creating a game also killed some of the novelty of playing other people's games... but that's not to say that they aren't still enjoyable because they definitely are and I definitely still play many of them. I guess I'm just more prone to noticing mistakes and low quality stuff and the like since I now know how it all works. I still get turned on by my ero scenes sometimes, but not anywhere near as much as I would if they came from someone else.

All-in-all, this is indeed one of the downsides of becoming a dev.

In general and with adult content in particular, you get pickier. You start appreciating good content more, and at the same time shitty content becomes more of a turn-off. At least this has been my experience when it came to cooking, writing, drawing, and design.
