You must have a graphics card with 8GB or more of VRAM,if you don't have 32GB RAM,you can increase virtual memory to 32GB in windows system settings.
At this point GPU's with 8GB of VRAM are basically obsolete. I am surprised Nvidia and AMD even sell them anymore.

A lot of the newer title with the latest engines struggle or won't run at all on them.

Not everything is about VRAM and engines. First of all, it's about the devs.
I wonder..What if all the UE5 crap was turned off + run DX11 mode? How would that work out?

Its about both. At one time 256MB was enough then 2GB of VRAM was enough, then 4GB.

But game engines are always advancing. All the bleeding edge modern game engines are going to be pushing past 8GB of VRAM for textures on larger games now especially passed 1080p. The moment that happens the GPU is going to be constantly swapping textures out of much slower system RAM. Its been like that for a few years now.

I have a few Steam games that simply won't run stable or smoothly on 8GB of VRAM. You can probably get some of them to launch but the experience won't be great. That is why the minimum requirements list 12GB of VRAM on the games.

Like I said Nvidia and AMD shouldn't even be selling them. The minimum amount of VRAM that should be on a new card today is 12GB.

Sure. If we're talking about the mainstream, yes. But the gaming market is very fragmented now. You can't generalize and every game is different.
Obviously, low-end cards still have their "patients" and manufacturers want to cover the entire segment and ultimately the price is a factor too. If you look around here, most indie porn games look like UE 1.5 level, so you probably don't need 12Gb. :HideThePain:
But that's a bit off-topic.

Naw that is just shitty devs. Even the resource hog that is UE5 can run games at 8GB VRAM. Unless you run at 4K, which most don't do, (1080p and 1440p is the most popular screen rez) it's not going to need more than 7. 8 is fine so long the game is optimized to the hardware that is using it, but most big studios are told to ship a broken product and fix it later, and not care about some types of optimizing. (regardless of the devs' wishes)

The indie devs usually don't know what they are doing and learning as they go, so they tend to have bad performance, but if they learn or do a lower-powered game, 8 is fine.

Sure, the standard being swapped to 12 would give us some wiggle room, but if devs instead optimized well instead we could make 8GB last at least another 5 years. But naw, the less work devs have to do, the better in their eyes. Why do you think things such as nanite was so loved by devs? They now don't have to worry about textures and models. And then ray-tracing for light, why do hard work when you can press a button in the UE5 menu?

Sooo are there actual sex scenes with Emily this patch? All I am seeing in the steam page is that the game ends after the bracelet scene and I was just messing around with the free mode yesterday and it's almost impossible to use it and if you click sex you freeze with a T-pose mode with the girl from the last patch.

Don't tell me the devs just made us wait 3 years and download 40 GB worth of bloat, trains, and non-ero stuff in a porn game?
