Another great project by Tlaero and Mortze. Tlaero's writing excels in immersing you in the underwater world of Toro 7. The flaws that exist in this novel are few and far between. Let's go over Toro 7's qualities.
Dialogue: Tlaero's take on dialogue writing is unique amongst AVNs because she uses the second-person point of view. Most other AVNs are told from the first-person perspective, so if you're looking for something new, this is definitely it. Toro 7's dialogue is decent. Conversations flow naturally... and while it isn't perfect, its flow and pace are better than many other games on this site. My main problem with the dialogue is that sometimes it was a bit unbelievable. Quite a few times, I thought, "Who talks like that?" This wasn't an isolated occurrence either... I caught myself thinking this at multiple points throughout the story. It's not a major issue, but it persists throughout the story, mainly concerning the men, not the women. The dialogue between female characters was excellent, but the men were unbelievable at specific points. Overall, I give the dialogue 8/10.
Story: The story is unique and well-formed. It's not too extravagant, but it places you in an intriguing environment(underwater) and throws interesting obstacles at you, all of which still have yet to be completed. The setting is new and immersive, as this story takes place on the ocean-covered moon of Europa. Tlaero immerses you in this world and makes you feel like you're genuinely thousands of fathoms deep beneath this moon's ocean. Overall, I give the story 8/10. It doesn't really stand out as a Sci-fi story, but it serves its purpose. And it does so wonderfully.
Lewd Scenes: Ok, for one, I'm a girl, so any guys reading this... take it with a grain of salt. I usually don't care about lewd scenes, but since this AVN had an (optional)female MC, a lesbian route, and a straight female path, I thought, why not? It's like I'm meant to check them out. The scenes were ok. What they lacked heavily was buildup. It kinda sorta went like this. You like someone(that's compatible orientation-wise) --> you interact with them specifically throughout two relatively short chapters, --> then you sleep with them. It's all a bit rushed, and they didn't do anything for me. You sleep with them several times throughout the story, but that's how intimacy is handled in this AVN. Rushed. The relationships didn't have nearly enough time to grow throughout the story, so the lewd scenes fell flat. Overall, I'll give them a 7/10 because although they're not my cup of tea, I can't pretend they're not objectively good to look at.
Characters: The characters were interesting. They weren't anything too noteworthy, but they weren't boring at all. There are many dynamic characters in this story, and they all have differing levels of depth. If you're looking for someone like Kindra or Cece(or Miranda or Jessika from Tlaero's other games), you won't find them here. Similarly, for all my girls, the guys aren't that complex. Objectively, the characters are well-written and consistent. Overall, I give this an 8/10.
Renders: The renders are good. They're not amazing, but they're still better than many other games on this site. Mortze seems to be improving with every game he works on. He definitely deserves his credit because the renders within this game are top-notch. Maybe tone it down a bit on all of the... hairiness in some places, but otherwise, the renders are pretty good. Overall, I'd give this another 8/10.
Ultimately, Tlaero and Mortze did a great job with this AVN. Sure, it has its flaws, but it's still a really great game, one with a very engaging story and one that's definitely worth your timeღ
