VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Total Drama Harem [v0.3.3a] [AruzeNSFW]

I'm stunned that people before me have given this game a 4/5 for it's story. The writing is diabolically bad. It feels like the dev wasn't even trying to come up with scenarios that made any sort of sense, even in the realm of this being a cartoon parody.

The Positives

The idea had potential. For like the first 50 seconds I had hope this would be another parody gem.

The Negatives

The sex scenes are retarded. They feel like they were implemented by a dude who's never come close to having sex. Random lesbian sex in the first 30 seconds and the sound effect the dev uses for "eating pussy" sounds like the girl is eating a fucking pack of doritos. Also, I understand that making a game is hard but if you don't have the ability to make really really good mini-games then don't bother including them. Minigames are legitimately dogshit until they're exceptional. There's little to no dialogue or character building, and the stuff that's there is pretty bad. What's the point of parodying a show if you're immediately going to disregard any sense of normalcy by having the female characters be nothing but sex dolls with zero character traits? It immediately takes you out of the parody. There's a reason that MITY is so popular. Corruption takes time. If any future Dev's read this, don't try and bypass bad writing with familiar faces and nonsensical sex scenes.

+ Art is impressively accurate to the source material.
+ Love to see parodies of franchises that haven't been done before.

= You can tell in spots that English is not the dev's first language, but so far everything is perfectly understandable.
= Animation quality varies massively. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's terrible. Good animation is always welcome but bad animation is worse than no animation.

- The "game" aspect is objectively bad. It's all some variation of timed "click your screen 15x" events. I appreciate trying to add actual gameplay but this isn't appealing at all.

Good idea, there wasn't a pornographic parody of Total Island Drama here on the forum, but the idea was terribly poorly executed. already starting with the player playing as Cody, Of all the characters did you have to choose Cody? Really?

I mean, Duncan was already practically making a harem on the show.
I would prefer a custom character...anything is better than Cody.

Already in the first activity on the island, you're already screwed going to exile for 3 days of survival... seriously, couldn't you have more bad luck? his interactions with girls are already so awkward and cringe that sometimes I have to skip content. anyway, I didn't play more than that because I was honestly disappointed.

2 star, because as much as the art is very similar to the work but the development has sinned here.

Brilliant execution. For now there still isn't a lot of content but the one that we have already is totally in the spirit of the show.

The devs seems like pretty cool people but that's all the game's really got going for it imo

Art, for better or worse, is pretty faithful to the show but the animations that go along with it are stiff to the point where I really think they'd just be better off with still images

Writing is pretty bad. Most of the time there seems to be a flimsy grasp of English but it's always the most bland and direct stuff like "We are hiding from chef, go distract chef. okay I will distract chef" and this leads to girls wanting to suck off cody for things like fixing their phone for some reason idk

Gameplay is also pretty bad here with it pretty much boiling down to a bunch of minigames that are all "click here x times"

Maybe this game will grow into something but I'm not too optimistic about it, wish the devs the best of luck tho

The art is very well done, matches the show's artstyle exactly. There are a few scenes so far with small "minigames" and activities to participate in to progress with the girls. Nothing too deep here, but I wasn't going into this game expecting a mind-blowing storyline. I went in with moderate expectations and was impressed with the story/content so far. Looking forward to future content and releases!

love it, cant wait for more. the art is perfect, and the scenarios are great. hoping for quick updates, this game needs some meat. also hoping for some freedom in choice how you get to fuck the girls.

Love the show and having played the demo I have to say I love this game as well. It was a fantastic choice by the developer to stay true to the character art as well as the personalities. Also props for releasing a demo with a substantial amount of content and for giving almost every character a lewd scene. Can't wait for the coming updates!

The English ranges from a pretty good impression of the show's humor to bland and expressionless. I would definitely recommend a proof reader, or at the very least starting to use punctuation at the end of sentences. The art style for the girls' idle poses is pretty good, although a lot of the "sexiness" comes from the original designs. It wouldn't hurt to add to the designs themselves, but only if it can be done in a way that enhances and doesn't eliminate the show's original style. Also the dick is disgusting, fix that.

This game has massive promise. Some of the current "sexy" scenes art style is a bit off IMO but 2/3rds of it fits the bill perfectly. I believe this game is an amazing parody and will bloom into something truly great in the parody game scene. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Good parody content, really captures the look of the show. The dumb humor too, honestly it's a pretty good take on total drama stuff.

That said, pretty straightforward at this point (and as of the first demo not much content).
