Patch updated for 0.72.002. Note that the game's thread currently only has it listed as "0.72", so if you're reading this tomorrow and the game crashes after patching things may have been sneakily updated. There tend to be a few more bug-fix patches, and since even I experienced a visual bug I don't think this version'll be any different. Bug-fix updates don't cause threads to get promoted in [Latest Updates], so @ me if there are changes.

dizzynatsu66 Standard troubleshooting when you get some sort of "directory name" error:
- Make sure there are no spaces or special characters in the file path
- Make sure the file path is short
Something like C:\Users\[yourName]\Downloads\Town_of_Magic is easiest.

That's just in general though. For this, you can also check if it successfully extracted the rpyc files. If those and the rpa files are present, all you need to do is manually delete the rpa files.

Followed the install, ran unren, extracted only rpas, it deleted them on its own, downloaded and extracted mod.

Loaded up game, had errors. Ignored, got back into my save where i was exploring the forest. Clicked leave, and had an endless error that I couldn't ignore through. Tried starting a new game, immediate error.

Just tried deleting all rpa files in the game folder and re-extracted the mod but to no avail. A shame, I was really looking forward to running around in the buff. I like games where I can roleplay a nudist, but there are so few and far between.

I decided to fuck it and download it fresh off the thread again, and it works. Must have had the previous update and not known it or something. My bad.

I use rpa extract to extract the rpa files, then unrpyc to turn them into rpy files, this should work fine. If u get any errors in events_evie.rpy use a test editor and delete that line which is causing problems

it still dose not work for me so idk it says the directory name is invalid still even tho i have done what was said to me to do
like it dose its thing lets me lode the game and play but whn iput in mod it gives me a ton of errors

As explained several times, it must be the mod for the current version.

The game is 0.73.001, and the mod is still 0.72.002. So you'll have to wait until the mod is updated. If the game then switches to 0.73.002, the mod will no longer work properly.

You most likely have the wrong version.
The game and mod must have the exact version number.
The mod is v0.72, but the game is already v0.73.
This was explained in previous posts and is also clearly stated on page 1 of this thread.
Since even a small fix in the game renders the mod unusable, the modder is waiting for a stable version of the game (v0.73).

Other sources do not have 0.72.002a, does anyone still have a zip they could post?
(Not rushing 0.73 mod, it'll come when it does)
**The only 0.72 I found was .007 on itch, and while it boots to main menu, I wouldn't call that recommended**

The new update seems to be full of bugs and nobody has posted the latest patreon version in the thread, if u want u can trying editing the .rpy file of the latest version to make this mod compatible

How long should the "processing images.rpa" part of the process last? It extracted the audio ones really quickly, but images have been processing for like an hour already.

Edit: Nvm it eventually brainfarted and said there's no image file and moved on. When I then installed the mod, everything works just fine.

it does take quiet a while due to the absurd number of images. but it should be over wthin 5 mins tho
