I originally thought the 4th love interest would turn out to be the person who used the weapon, since we heard gunshots several times and that detail has to be relevant again.

I don't think it really needs to be relevant again, TBH. It already shows there was a least one survivor still at the time the gun went off. I'm not saying it couldn't have further relevance, but it's not necessary. It was good information that has since been reinforced by, for instance, College Kid. Obviously he didn't have a gun (that we could see, at least), but he was further support for the idea that they aren't alone. A gun should definitely be useful — especially if there's worse than Witches out there — but story-wise, someone joining the group who already has one is not really needed.

Hopefully not, because it would feel like too small a world if he had already met every survivor. I was expecting someone completely new.

I mean, we had already seen Shelley days before we even go to the college. She's one of the girls in the convenience store in the prologue. So he may have been hinting at the final lineup even back then, and short of Otis somehow getting a sex change operation that only leaves the ex-wife. Plus, you know, a girl who has literally left you before would definitely cause people to have opinions.

Barring that, and the Witch... It's either a spoiled rich girl or an ardent feminist based on Now & Then.

Ok, so we finally get to meet the shooter from previous chapters, this is inside the gas station we've seen in a previous preview.
He said we are meeting the 4th girl soon and we can already pick the clues from the previews so I am guessing we are going to be meeting another group of survivors that have been hiding in that gas station, since the person with the shotgun appears to be a guy, I don't think he's surviving for long.

Other than that, the last preview where the mc appears to be walking towards a witch, I hope it's just a misdirection and that isn't really what is happening, because from what he should know at this point, approaching anything that's been outside for too long is risky af.

I mean, it is hunched over. Maybe they aren't as active during the day (both times we see it doing something it is night) so he is going to try to kill it? The two shots we see of it during the day (walking Laura back I think, and you can vaguely see it in the fog from one of the art room scenes) it's just...standing there.

Possible. But since we've only seen her at night so far, making assumptions about her activity level is just that: assumption. If you were in that position IRL, would you actually go up to the Witch, just to check if she were active in the day? Even if carrying a weapon, the Burned Ones have been formidable, to say the least. She's something new, so I think greater caution should be in order.

I will say it's too soon to draw conclusions and who knows, maybe the story will surprise us... But if he's really walking into a witch that's just standing there for no reason, I will start to agree with characters making the most stupid decision everytime.
He wins nothing by killing her, he's just risking his life and he doesn't even know if they may attack him when he gets near.

Even if he kills one potential thread, who knows how many more there are?

Plot twist the Witch is the ex.

How is that a twist? I mean it's what anyone with an ex would expect. Except... There's apparently more than the one of them.

At this point, while the Burned Ones are still an annoyance and something to be avoided, it's clear that they're the bottom rung of the danger ecosystem, with the Witches moving into their place as a prominent hazard.

I was right in my assumption that the new girl was gonna be "hostile" (at first) but i fail to see why she would be divisive so far. Not that we have seen her much for now. Didn't even see her face yet... she seems to have big breast tho... so there is that
