Didn't see any so far and most malls would also only have junk food. A supermarket would be better. Maybe an Amazon warehouse, but good luck finding what you were looking for.

Yeah, they don't seem to travel with any objective other than the hospital should be in that direction. At least from their talks they seem to know the area, at least raughly...or that is the impression i got.
I kinda find it strange that getting food doesn't seem to be high on their list, i mean, it could just be that there are no stores/ supermarkets around, thought that seems a bit unlikely near the campus.
As for if they are looted, maybe, still their best option for food.
Yeah, canned food be the most obvious choice, i'm sure they can find a can opener in any of the houses, so that is kind of a non issue imo. Also there is power, so they can even have it more tasty.
Is it heavy, sure, but there really isn't much of a choice is there. Still the better choice to snacks from a convenience store and yeah, not the perfect balanced diet.

I'd say "small issue" rather than "non issue," but agreed. And of course if they have a Wal-Mart or a supermarket at their disposal, they can get an opener. It's just another thing they need to keep track of.
Power is among the lesser issues right now. And if they're always going to be in a house with working utilities (those being cut is, I think, a very real risk), well and good. But they're more or less constantly on the move, they need to eat on the move, and most places they might stop would be suboptimal for eating canned food.
Of course there's a choice (if a limited choice), and which is better depends on their situation. If they're just going to hole up in the house, and there's a market a block away they can loot, sure, go for the canned food, use the kitchen, eat, drink, and wait for help to arrive.
But that hasn't been their MO to this point, and I doubt that's going to change. They should, I think, hang there for a few days to regroup, recharge, heal, etc., but I fully expect they're going to be on the move again soon, and continue to be for the foreseeable future. And if they don't have any assurance of being able to get food at their destination for the night, or along the way, they need to bring their food with them. Snacks from a convenience store are going to have more calories per unit weight than anything canned, and calories are their most fundamental need at this point. Again, MREs would be better, but still heavy, and limited availability.

If they are being fed from a major city elsewhere they are fine....but if localised (if their own city big enough)...with no one to run them...they would all shut down very, very quickly with no one there. They do not run 24/7 without human intervention.
Also, at this point, depending on where 'fresh water' is coming from...would you trust it currently to drink/wash? Probably infected to hell itself from the fog.

same thing bugged me in N&T too. They were there for a long time and still had gas stoves working from a central line. Electricity and water too. In a city water pressure (afaik) doesn't work with gravity system like you have in smaller settlements with water towers. Power would go out real quick too most likely, since no one is running the plants and infrastructure, after that everything goes.
Maybe not. The fog seems to have hit pretty sudden so unless they were actually IN the supermarket or WalMart at the time, they'd have probably turned into or been killed by a BO or witch on the way there. How many people are going to be out in heavy clothing in the Summer (when the game starts?) Not to mention with the University not in session many wouldn't be there, etc.

In N&T at least power was shortly explained. Something about widely used rewneable engery/solar power in the city, i think.

Sure, maybe not. If I had to bet one way or the other, that's how I'd bet, but not to the point I wouldn't check out a store if I saw one. But I probably wouldn't go far out of my way for one. A few blocks? Sure, easy. Miles? Probably not.

even that wouldn't matter much imo in such an apocalypse scenario. All that shit that goes into it to manage on a day to day basis? Now imagine what happens with no people running it. Sure the solar panels and such themselves would keep working, but the rest? Power stations, distribution? All managed by humans. Shit would stop working real quick.

But at least they did give a short reason as to why they still have power (could have been better mind you), also i don't need 100% realistic.
But yeah, everything avaivable with no explanation is a bit lacking in a survival setting...

Electricity may come via a main line from other cities or power stations outside the fog.
It's the same thing about gas, but I agree about water.

You might think I'm kidding, but just one of the things they need to find is a source of vitamin C. While it would take months for them to actually start losing teeth, vitamin C deficiency can cause other detrimental issues like lethargy.
I have no idea how they would find fresh fruits and vegetables though, so their best bet might be supplements, which is one other reason to find some place that has medicines.
Whether it's N&T or Tox or any other game, most of the infrastructure issues that a zombocalypse would cause have to be fudged quite a bit if you still want to be able to write pornography in the setting. Right now they have access to running water/showers just often enough to make sex still plausible but realistically you know they'd all have some pretty righteous stank.
And since we're also talking about food, even if you're not going through half a dozen Kama Sutra pages every time you hook up sex still burns a lot of energy and if you're on the harem route dude is probably fucking away all the calories he eats in a day.
