Hey all,
After the completion of Euryale's Gambit, I am pleased to announce "the next thing" is a short visual novel called "Tragedy of Medusa". Tragedy is a twist on the classic story where Medusa and sisters Stheno and Euryale are hunted by the Olympian gods as part of a plan to rest humanity away from the demons and succubi races who plague the world. I will probably keep world-building at a minimum since much of it should already be established in Euryale's Gambit (which takes place long after Tragedy).
Background:
Early in human history, Earth is inhabited by all sorts of creatures: humans, gods, demi-humans, succubi and demons. Life is hard, especially for humans who are often used as a food/energy sources by succubi and demons. Standing against these groups are the gods, some of whom have just discovered that they gain energy from human worship. This group, known as the Olympians lead by Zeus, Poseidon and Athena, create a plan to send all demons and succubi to a realm separate from the gods and humanity: Hell. The only problem is that creating hell will take a huge amount of energy that human worship just can't produce. To solve the energy deficit, the three Olympians learn to use chaos energy, energy created as a byproduct of violence and proceed to murder demons, succubi and even some elder gods (who are massive sources of energy) in order to gain the energy they need for their plan.
Tragedy of Medusa:
Tragedy takes place just as the Olympians start their killing spree and the three gorgon sisters find themselves unable to escape the Olympians dark plan.
Style:
Story format will be a classic greek tragedy. The visual style will be the same as Euryale's Gambit with individual renders in every scene, AI 3D animated images, and custom-made settings (ie 221 BC city of Athens).
My goal is to complete this either by end of October or in November. Attached are a few of the renders from the first couple scenes.
