Overview:
TranceParent is a new way to view your media! You can use it to do self hypnosis, goon your brains out, femdom hypno, make custom PMVs or whatever else you can imagine. It works by letting you load in a folder of images, gifs, videos, mp3s or other media into semi-transparent layers. Then it will randomly cycle through those media files even allowing you to create spirals out of any images. Set up multiple layers with different transparency levels and you can stack up the perfect combination. There are many other features as well!

Need correct tags:

https://f95zone.to/threads/tags-rules-and-list-updated-2023-02-03.10394/

Only add tags that are currently in game into the spoiler.
Is that better? I included the content pack in the first post so that it has content that would be considered currently in-game as you can just load the save file and use it. I'll add some more content packs shortly to make it contain more tags as well.

Let me know if I need to repack the game original zip files with these content items so that they are considered "in-game", but I feel that would kinda defeat the point of it only being content that the player is into, and would needlessly require them to download stuff they would not be into.

Edit: I also updated the version to 0.3.1

I added another content pack shared by Zoey on Discord. Its theme is CEI and eating your own cum.

Also updated the videos spoiler section to have embeds of the videos and will add the new tags momentarily.

Edit: I updated the genre to have the new tags, I am not sure how to have it implemented in tags at the top of the thread though.

Any idea why on Macos its says "App is damaged and cant be opened"?
I have no idea, it did it for me too when I downloaded it. I tested the zip file I uploaded and it worked fine. Try downloading from the patreon for now, its available to the free members. The next build I'll test after uploading to mega before sharing the link.

Should this be in Tools & Tutorials section instead of games?
https://f95zone.to/forums/tools-tutorials.17/
I don't entirely disagree, however, it is more interactive than a VN with no paths (tons of those posted as games), made in unity, and you can use it for entertainment purposes. I think a tool would be more for sorting your files or similar.

Maybe I can put in a level up system based on your session time and total session time?

For me it boots up as normal, but the moment I select the pack ( PWP - Zoey ) the app/video sort of freezes, running at 1-3fps, RAM goes up to around 12GB usage(out of 32), never experienced anything similar with other games, right after it I tested CS, Expedition 33, League and had no issues.

Probably just a thing on my end, will try Patreon vs. and other uploads tomorrow, just wanted to write about it here in case anyone else experienced it and found a fix.

Tested this app, and i wanna give few suggestions.
1. Is it possible to make text setting a little bit more basic ?
Like, stationary position on line - left/center/right, position on high top/middle/bottom ?
With random (or not) text switching.
This way, will be possible to make "real time"(?) captions by pics and short videos.
2. Pictures settings works weird - "actual size" and "fit" works not how it supposed to be.
3. .gif files displayed with very fast speed, and when .gif switch to another .gif, there is delay like half sec before file start it's animation.
4. Will be nice to add just "audio layer", where you can make playlist, where each file will be played fully, but next one file will be random (or not), with volume adjustments.

In total, interesting concept, but settings are confusing from the start)

Hmm, that is odd, can you try disabling layers and re-enabling them one by one to find if its a specific layer that's causing the issue? I know there's a bug where sometimes when it loads a layer or starts it the first time, it takes a few seconds to actually start playing animations, but this is generally resolved by the random cycle. The crazy ram usage is also odd, that sounds like a memory leak, but those generally don't happen super fast, they usually build up over time. You can also try manually creating some layers using the folders from PWP. Let me know if it continues to be a problem, I'll do some research into the code to see if there's a possible memory leak that isn't being handled properly (though I'm using Unity so memory SHOULD be being handled automatically).

Hello and thank you for this amazing feedback.

1. The text layer is actually one that has received the least amount of time on it, however I have big plans to make it much better. The general idea for the current positioning elements is so that you can have something in the center on one layer, drawing focus, while smaller messages can be picked up subconsciously by the peripheral vision on another layer. I do agree some general locations like top left, top center, top right, mid left, mid center, mid right, bottom left, bottom center and bottom right do make sense and will be added when this layer sees more attention.

2. There's a bug with fit, it is usually resolved by switching from fit to another option and then back to fit. Actual size, has a different bug that I think I just chalked up to not actually checking the actual size and ended up never using it. I have added these to my bug fixing list.

3. I did not notice a problem with gifs playing too fast for me aside from the random occurrence where I assumed it could be an issue with the gif file. As for the loading, its supposed to preload them while the previous one is playing, if you set the layer's random time to be a bit longer it might do better about it. I'll add both of these to my bug list though to see if I can find a way to improve the way its loading them and ensure it's holding the frame rates as to what it should be.

4. For the Audio files, the media layer should fully work. If you set the Video Play Type (The naming should be fixed as it applies to audio too) to Full Length, it should play the mp3 files from start to finish. It also obeys the random volume features too. This allows you to stack up multiple audio layers with some quiet and others at full volume. I have plans in the future to allow for playlist functions where things play in a specific order, however the UI for doing this is a bit more complex and I will need to spend time designing it to be as easy as possible.

I have plans to write up some guides for each of the settings pages, you're absolutely right on how they can be confusing and believe it or not, they were much worse in earlier builds, so they have come a long way. That doesn't change that they do have quite a bit of ways to go, maybe even having an advance menu to simplify it for most people, while giving the ability to fully fine tune for others.

The biggest thing holding me back from making some of the biggest changes and improvements that I want to implement is time, hopefully with all the new attention the game is getting, I'll be able to get some supporters on patreon or itch.io to allow for more time to grow this project into something truly great and easy to use for everyone.

Thanks for answer!
I think that small fixes will be fine for the start. And when it can be called properly function version 1, then you can concentrate on some big updates (i have no idea what can be also added :p), without worrying about bugs.

Problems with text i fixed by layer with .png pics, where is text located in place where i need, and empty background, lol.

Problem with pictures i solve with photoshop, by editing size of some of them.

.gif issue depends of the.gif, yes. Like 40-50% of them displayed very fast, but other half works normal.

With audio files, i was also confused with "cycle time range", that have max time 2 min. So i though that even with "full length" it will restart after 2 mins )
