I have no clue how I did it, but I think I somehow managed to copy and paste over all translations with exact matches and that bumped it all the way up to 83%.
The funny thing is that I wasn't even trying to do this, it shouldn't have messed up anything, but I still have the old version just in case it did.

Also I'm going to put the link to the game on each update from now on so new people can find it easily, you still have to apply the translation manually though.

The most recent translations have been much more difficult compared to the previous ones, so much so that I've been avoiding working on this for a while.

I'm back to working on it seriously now, but if the pattern continues, the next update will still be a ways off.

Also, once I finish the actual translations themselves, I'm going to clean them all up and run them through a grammar checker.
I've noticed a lot of my previous ones have missing periods, too few commas, not enough commas, or just could be reworded to flow better.

That being said, is there any walkthrough for this game available? The odds are heavily stacked against the protagonist during the first boss fight, so much that I assumed that you can only lose. However, I raised the protagonist's level to 99 via a save game editor and that allows you to win the fight, and the game does have text for this scenario. The problem is that I encounter a bug when cheating like this, where the picture of the boss freezes on screen for the reminder of the game (saving and loading does not help). I'm just wondering if there is a normal way to win the first boss fight (maybe a new game +)?

You're able to beat the game without losing a single time, since it's one of the game's endings. It just requires you to explore a bit, but it's not too tough.
You can go underneath instead of straight in order to engage the fight from behind, which allows you to only fight the boss and not the minions too. This should allow you to beat him easily.
In addition, you can talk to Toru in order to get infinite potions if you want to defeat all the Fushinsha in the area as well, though the potions are only useful out of battle because they only heal 1HP and 1MP at a time.

Edit: Never mind, I used the save file from the other person in the thread. Magical Vanish is an AOE skill that you can use for the grouped enemies and use heal whenever you get low, but after you get the boss to half health, Toru buffs it and it insta-kills you, so it might be a scripted loss.

Edit2: It might have a different outcome depending on what happened before, because the reason you encounter it (at least in the save file I used) is because something happened that caused Koron to no longer want to be a magical girl, but Toru needs her to still operate as one, so she sets up the whole thing, so it might have a different outcome if you have only won the whole game.

I translated the status screen image and roughly edited it to be in English.
Just take the status.rpgmvp file inside the English folder and place it into /www/img/pictures/ and select replace.
I've also included the original encrypted and decrypted files as well as a .xcf file (Gimp) if anyone wants to make a better one.

I'll translate the others after I've finished the game translations, but I felt this was pretty important.

For the first boss fight, Toru also sabotages Koron as soon as the boss loses a certain amount of health (basically an insta loss). I will check out today if one can circumvent that sabotage by starting the fight via ambush from behind as you told me.

Honestly, this game would become an instant 10/10 if Koron was written to always lose in story-relevant battles except by manipulating the save file, and if the developer anticipated this and created alternative dialogue and scenes just for this route (for example if Toru said that Koron can't be that strong and must have help from a higher entity). The game does break the 4th wall occasionally anyway so it would have fit the style. But I doubt the dev has thought that far.

EDIT: Using the ambush strategy for the first boss battle does not prevent Toru from the sabotage so you still get insta-killed. However, if you modify the save file to increase Koron's level to the point where the boss can't even deal one point of damage (like I did previously), AND you ambush the boss, you can win the battle and advance the story without the glitch where the picture of the boss freezes on screen.

I did defeat the first boss without the game crashing, by editing Koron's Level to 99. The game does have text and scenes for this scenario (Toru has to explain herself to her superior) and Koron's reputation doesn't sink, the first big humiliation scene never happens. I also just defeated the second boss (the one on the horse) but no scene or text triggers after the victory. It seems that this is really the point were losing is the only option to advance the story. My guess is that when the dev started making the game, they also planned to implement a purely good route, but scratched it later on and just left the done work in the code.

Can someone post the data files for the official MTL? While the translations might not be good, I can probably get some extra context from them.

I checked and the mega file still works fine. Can you give more specifics on what error you're getting?

Here's a step by step on how to get it working:
1. Download the game from this url

4. Extract the file you just downloaded
5. Place the contents of the data folder inside of MagicalGirl_MagicalHeart_UNPACKED/www/data/ and select replace when prompted
