I used that guide, but despite exhausting all dialogue options and having the necessary materials, I didn't have the recipes to make anything. I think it was a bug.
This isn't a bug, but most likely isn't implemented in version 0.92 yet. If I'm not mistaken, version 0.94 already had recipes for this, and 0.96 recipes were added and added the "trash shovel."
Incidentally, version 0.96 has recipes that require Rubber and another ingredient, which don't have the basic resources. More precisely, the resources are there, but there's no level 3+ axe and pickaxe.

yeah, check your version, if you're still in 0.92-0.96 then you're bound to not get it since it's not complete. Get 1.0 from my post a page or two away and you'll get everything save for a few bugs.

Full* save for 1.0

save 1 is in your room, save 2 is inside the gallery room

Extract to Game directory > save

* there are 3 major bugs I've experienced

- The altered special event 4 check does not trigger properly, even though the altered version plays when it's supposed to, which locks out the corresponding achievement and it's bonus. This does not affect the check for altered special event 5, which brings you to the end of chapter 1 normally.

- The third massage option is locked out unless you are playing on hard difficulty, due to the checks being fucked. I forced the event to play normally through Mtool twice to unlock the penetration skill naturally. You will not be able to access this scene naturally on save 1.

- The reminiscence room is just not accessible, the mirror does nothing when interacted with. I can force the event to play in Mtool and it works as it should, sending the player to the reminiscence room. You can leave without issue, but you can't re-enter. Use save 2.
The reminiscence room bug is fixed in 1.01, the other two im not too sure. I'll upload 1.01 in a bit


edit: should I wait for 1.02?

In regards to the grind and all, dev's ci-en posts seem to indicate he's aware and will probably adjust for Ch 2 and 3. I've said it before, but I have full faith the full product will be worth it (honestly he's got some really good scenes already and that's with MTool's shoddy translation) since Encode Encore is quite literally my favorite of all the games here.

The alchemy stuff for sure wasn't the way to go though, at least with the current gameplay. Maybe if more lewd stuff gets mixed in it'd be a better pill to swallow (and there seems to be hints of it, what with the currently unusable option for FeMC to cook for you).
that's basically my point, the CGs are very good and EE was superb, I trust the project but he seriously needs to rework the core gameplay or maybe spread the lewd stuff more to make it more manageable

I gave the alchemy system a shot after 1.0, and honestly I found it surprisingly enjoyable (on slow mode, medium difficulty, hard is really dumb). I think the main problems are a combination of unintuitive systems with a huge amount of bugs, janky UIs, and at the moment partial MTL translations.

Once I understood the game's mechanics it flowed pretty well, the numbers just need some tweaking. Obviously still not what a lot of folks are looking for in a H-game... but I liked it, lol.

The reminiscence room bug is fixed in 1.01, the other two im not too sure. I'll upload 1.01 in a bit


edit: should I wait for 1.02?
I mean if it's not too much trouble 1.01 would be nice.

Yeah, I get what he was going for, but I feel like game loop mechanics are getting in each other's way. And he wanted to slow down pacing of h-scenes, but at the same time I feel like most of the issues is that you have to repeat each scene 20x/40x+ times to level up a skill in it to progress to next h-scene which takes hours.

I also like EE a lot so I am hoping this game gets cleaned up because it has a lot of great ideas just feels like it needs a lot more time in the oven to smooth out.

It needs a lot more H-scenes to justify the ridiculous grind and headache the players have to go through. Like gawd damn don't put 200 items in there if the crafting system's UX/UI is terrible.

Yeah basically he put the event trigger in the exact location of the mirror, not in front of it, so to access the room you have to basically clip in the furniture

Really hoping this one gets a proper translation eventually since I really enjoyed his previous work and this one is shaping up to be really good as well, except for all the grinding.

Can't imagine the game being done until a year from now in this case.
Three chapters, First chapter is out. Second chapter in the works, give or take 2-3 months if things go well, maybe less. Depends on what the dev outlines in the next ci-en update.

Some changes were made to the grinding in 1.3 so the translation for the UI is much appreciated, will drop it as soon as it becomes available on Fanza

New ci-en announcement, looks like he's working on further decreasing the grind and implementing a lot of QoL requests in 1.03. Things that stand out:
- Pulverizer tool now has 100% success rate (thank fucking god)
- Affection gain and rationality loss are doubled
- Loops now carry over pretty much everything else in your inventory, from money to materials to crafted items
- Already seen event quests no longer require items to complete while skipping
- No longer a limit on how many times the MC can cum per day (this might have only been a thing on the hardest difficulty, since I never encountered a limit anyways while playing on medium)

Please note, this is NOT an exhaustive list of stated changes. Check out the for yourself if you want to see everything he says. He's also beginning work on Chapter 2, with a release date to be determined later.
