Working on cleaned up deepL MTL with english friend editing language, but can stop if someone is already on it. Too many bugs to post now.
Game is basic, but scenes are good and expressive.
Current progress (estimate):
First pass deepL translation: 95%
*Story text editing: 20%
*H-scene text editing: 10%
Bug fixing (game breaks): 70%
Typesetting (overlapping text): 10%
UI images: 80%
Will post files when done or incomplete if bugs fixed and english friend gives up. Game is simple and deepL translation good enough to follow if needed.

Note: found a very short story scene that fails to trigger even in the original but is referenced and seems intended. If it is fully implemented, I will restore it to the game?

Before doing work, if you did not play in Japanese, please know this is a TyranoScript game, so actually a VN with RPG aspects. You mostly play this game for the story, because the mechanics are not deep.
The main story is fun and I hope the translation is good not to skip.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED THE GAME unless someone else uploads it already patched. You need to unpack and pack app.asar so you can use npm. Most people wont know that or if you do you dont need instructions. Instructions below use WinAsar, free tiny windows app for asar format you can get on Github for less than 2MB.
Patch instructions: Check pictures on this attachment if not clear
(Step 0: Get lightweight WinAsar executable from Github, just Google search WinAsar)
1) Open "resources" directory of Shinobi Gear
2) Rename app.asar as backup.asar or other
3) Open WinAsar and set to extract
4) Drag in backup.asar
5) Click extract
6) Open "patch" directory of translation patch
7) Open unpacked "backup.asar.unpack" directory in resources folder of game
8) Copy contents of "patch" director to "backup.asar.unpack" directory with overwrite
9) Close and open WinAsar and switch to Pack. Closing first reduces problems.
10) First drag in ROOT FILES ONLY from backup.asar.unpack. See picture 3 for how it looks. Dragging root files only first will reduce problems.
11) Drag in the folders now. See picture 3 for how it looks. WinAsar may freeze a minute on this step
12) Press pack if it looks right. Please see picture 3 top right.
13) Make sure the new asar is named app.asar and in the "resources" directory
It looks long but should take only <5 minutes of mostly waiting on WinAsar. See the pictures, just moving some files around and clicking pack and extract. If main menu buttons are translated on launch it worked.
Full TL note with notes on scenes and translations will be included in download but, here is a shorter version for people deciding if they will download the TL
