He returned some time ago and continued translation. He posting his progress updates pretty often, but I have no idea when translation will be finished.

For anyone using MTool thats waiting for a higher quality translation, I made a quick and dirty MTL using Sugoi that gets the job done well enough.
Plenty of mistakes but mainly names, the story is understandable and there are no bugs through to the end of the game (at least in my experience)
just place the json into the game folder and load the custom file in the translate tab

Anyone aware if the in-progress translation (the one that is supposedly 'close to release' will include the update content?
I believe they've said that the bonus scenarios won't be translated as they've already put a massive amount of work in and they released after he started so it'd be awkward if they end up messing with adjustments they've had to make in the code for stuff.
If it's any consolation, the fan translation IS pretty much done at this point. They've been doing a final quality check of everything recently, and the last update on that was them finishing with chapter 6 and going on to do the endings next (and that was said like 4 days ago iirc).
The patched game will still have the bonus scenarios in there iirc, just that they won't be translated, so it should be easy enough to just use mtool or a screen translator as they shouldn't be too long.
