Update, the Ryuugames version (download version of the game) is not working. See the repack in the post below or install it yourself from the package version to get the game working. There is also an official patch for the game, so remember to update it before applying the mtl.

, the download version, and package version. The trial version is good to rule out local issues. If your computer can't run the trial version, then it will not be able to run the full version either.
- The download and package version will install different "Start.exe" and "install.inf files", but besides that, all of the other files are the same.
- install.inf is not needed to launch the game.
- The game will also recreate any save data on first launch if needed.
- The download version's Start.exe is drm'd using softdenchi. The no_dvd patch for the download version does not work. Both the Ryuu games and the one from 2djgame net are the exact same no_dvd patch.
- The package version's Start.exe works without any issues, so using that Start.exe is preferred.
This game also has an official patch that works for both the download and package versions. There is only one official patch and it works on both the download and package versions identically. The patch changes these files

Since the official patch does not change the Start.exe, and the files are the same between the download and package version, you can use the official package version's .exe for both versions (download and package version) to avoid using the drm'd .exe and the broken no_dvd .exe. That should fix the game.
If you already have the game, then just download Start.exe from the package version of the game and apply it to the download version. Remember to update the game using the official patch too.
that has been updated with the official patch. It is still in japanese but the greatvisualnovel's mtl and the 100% save are also available under backups/ for convenience for people who want them. Tested working on Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10 22H2.
hey, thanks, im not sure what changed, but i think the shigokare crack folder maybe has a src.arc file from ryuu games and maybe copy pasting that is how it breaks the install, thanks for the explanation, downloading this start.exe and using it worked.
The scr.arc file in the ryuu games no_dvd patch was not present in the 2djgames no_dvd patch meaning that it is not really relevant to the patch.
It is just the vanilla scr.arc file included with the base game. That file does get updated when the official patch, but that would not stop the no_dvd patch from working with the unupdated game, which it does not. The issue with the game not working was the the Start.exe file only.
I have no idea why ryuu decided to include an old version of scr.arc, literally just a random file?, since it is not relevant to the no_dvd patch at all, and it certainly cannot fix anything as far as I know.
