VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Translucydity [v.1.0 Final] [ChummyChonka]

Translucydity is a very fine attempt of making an incest-meets-futa/trans game, yet the "Completed" prefix is nothing short of bizarre.

The plot is very well thought, the renders look good, the characters have been designed properly and the script is flawless.

See, I like futas (or trans, in this case) and incest. However, this is a game that is 424 lines long. Normally, prologues are not known for being excessively long. But this is a "v1.0 Final" game, not an introduction to a game that has started being developed. It's an unfinished game that can be completed in less than five minutes, yet it seems to have more characters that are there for context only, despite the fact that it shows Lucy's mother as a teaser for the next episode.

This is a prologue that isn't a game. I checked dev's Patreon, and the only mention ever of Translucydity is in July '23, announcing the release. His itch.io page is the same. His X account is no different. In almost three years, nothing has happened, nothing else was said and this simply is a fine looking lewd scene but with no bang for buck. This is, by no means, a "Completed" game: it's an introduction to a promising yet long forgotten game.

Translucydity is a very short visual novel that caters to a few specific fetishes. It treats the matter of being trans surprisingly well and comes with decent enough graphics.

Since the game is so short, there really isn't a lot to say about it. You can choose in the beginning who you'd like to play as, but it doesn't really change any dialogue, though.

Translucidity is as very short vn focused on a couple of scenes and a light emotional moment in a trans life. In this short vn you can choose to be the trans or the priest and they will talk a bit, discover something in common and accept their ways together. I don’t see any problems with it, the modes are fine, the story is very simple but is nice and the scene is fine. I think this is a good vn because it fulfills its purpose. It was made to be a short visual novel with a couple of sex scenes and it did what it was supposed to do in a good manner. I recommend it if you want a fifteen minute short story focused on trans elements.

It's an alright little prologue for a trans-focused story. It's decently written and the renders are ok, but it's rather sparse and some of the tags are inaccurate.

It's recommended to play with the patch tho, makes for a more notable story.

Very short game with only one sex scene, but it handles the subject matter more delicately than you might expect. Yes the preacher is transphobic and says some vile shit, but he comes around.

The models are good, the sex scene is well done, and there was far more nuance than I would expect from a five minute porn game. The missing stars are due to length and lack of content.

Sinning is winning, it seems. Also the last place in the world I would expect a Star Wars reference.

This is a short novel. So I’ll keep the review short as well. It has four paths, two playable characters and three endings over one interaction. One sex scene depending on your choices and a whole lot of text. I finished the game three times because I wanted to see every ending. Because this game does something interesting. It keeps the story small, but twists it in a way that’s quite.. interesting.

So Lucy identifies as a trans woman, as she’s currently in her transition period. She still has her cock, developed a little chest and has long, blonde hair. The story unfolds as Lucy meets the pastor, who is angry with her for expressing her transgenderism. You can choose who to play and choose how the response goes, potentially damaging the relationship beyond repair or repairing the bond between Lucy and the pastor.

The latter is of course the most interesting of stories, as how does a man of god reconcile his affection towards a transgender woman? This screams transphobia, but the dev smartly sidesteps the tropes to bring a more nuanced story about impersonation, weird affection and maybe a mental disorder here and there.

One sex scene, you get to pick parts of it and the ending. It’s finished 3 times in an hour so while it isn’t much in terms of playtime - it does give room for an interesting plot. One of the storylines actually features Lucy’s mother, who graces the cover of the game as well. I enjoyed this. If you’re wondering, the sexual trans content is hardly even there. It’s like a hard cock and an ejaculation, so transphobic warriors rest at ease.

3 / 5 for effort. .5 point for the ‘I am your father’ joke. Could have been a four if it was a little more elaborate.
