I am sorry, but are you just blind, skip all dialogues, or have no ability to remember basic details?

There're a decent number of scenes with art, but not all scenes have finished art, it will outright say so when a scene doesn't have art done yet.
i feel dumb i cant get past the starting forest i have a stone key and i cant open the door in the cave
You have to manually use keys from the key item inventory. Some other stuff requires that too. There's a shortcut to go directly to key items but I don't remember the keyboard shortcut, only the controller shortcut.
Also you can cast some spells like the magic detection spell on the field, there's another key shortcut for going straight to those spells. It's a game with a lot of map puzzles and such.
The author has been active on the itch.io page a few days ago, and about a month ago mentioned the game is still in active development, so doesn't seem so. Probably just slow, with being a hobby thing and all.
