I started a new save and made a custom character with the save editor, but the belly rating wont go below 30 even with 0 thickness, 0 belly size, and 0 belly size multiplier it always changes when I load the save into the game.

Yeah the belly size is laggy cause of this update.
Maybe try the bedroom in the nursery to see what it does?

What I wish this game had was.... Different entry points, like chapters. Yeah you can edit your saves to skip misc progress but it's not intuitive and certain flags can easily lock you out of certain options permanetly. Something like "Ch 1 all New Texas quests completed, Ch 2 all Mhen'ga quests completed etc etc" and then you'd just choose the basic options re: Character customization as if you were at the beginning.

i remember a time when every new game started at mengha, they always promised "don't worry, you will have an alternative start", and once they did, they just made a fucking tutorial...mengha was already a tutorial by design...
i wished we could have another starting planet and not have to go through the "new" starting zone and then mengha.

The best thing would be to have the basic "main quests planets" be done and choose where you want to start, chapters like you said, like when you start a new game, say you want to start on tarkus, or zheng shi, you still have to create your character and level up accordingly, maybe with some basic gear for the level you should have at that point, but not miss any content other than the main quest.

Not only would that be easier to test new contents if, like me, you don't particulary mind making new characters, but it will also make it better to avoid the early stages of the game if you find them a slog to go through.

Wanted to ask a quick ask for clarity, cause I think I know and just assume I miss when it was added.

My character is getting weird emails, the first being this:
Attached to this textless email are a number of pictures of your closest friends that you never took. Your crew... Anno... Ardia... Azra... Ben... Kase... Kiro... Mitzi... Paige... Penny... Snowbell... Reaha... Shekka... Syri... Tika... Blue... Amaretto... Yammi... Celise... Amber... Eitan... Paulette... Ramis...

And there’s a picture of you, circled in red. No prizes for figuring this one out. Only a catastrophically disturbed mind could send this.


I assume it's from one of the creeps, particularly Sophora as my character had gotten jumped by her a day or so before this popped up. I haven't gotten them before, but I had been using a character that was created a while ago that I would just load instead of starting a brand new character.
Anyone actually know what's going on?

Snowbell is the Pexiga after being uplifted. Blue is the Varmint. Amaretto is the Siegwulfe. And yeah, Gray Goo Armor (Nova) and Bess/Ben are the others you can name that I can recall as of now.

I think I've played through the first 4-5 planets easily 6+ times just to experience new content to the game. Always end up losing my saves. Way back when, it was easier to edit your save file as there wasn't an insane amount of flags to edit if you wanted to basically bypass certain planets. Now I've got ~22 save files archived online and in every one there's some scene/character that's basically disabled because of some weird flag/choice.

I find that level 12 bunny thing that starts stalking you after certain level annoying. She always shows up when i am level 10, fights me till i am level 12, and only then gets easier to deal with. At least with Jasvalla there's ways of dealing with her or opting out, and she can be dealt with reasonably. But this one is quite annoying. Yeah, tease kinda works, but otherwise it's annoying to deal with.

You can opt out of dealing with Sophora after the first time you beat her in the mines, too. But it's critical you opt out when the option comes up. Otherwise, you're stuck with her unless you're willing to edit the SOPHORA_DISABLED flag to "1" in the save editor (or SOPHORA_KILLED if that's more your Steele's jam).

Is there a way for me to get the Entropy Gremlin from the saved editor?

I think I got one from the Cyberunk SecOp ship battle, its repeatable so you could get a lot of them. Might be from an older version though.

"RedidFeaturesMidPhaedraMike (M)966 Days-Phaedra" is the one that's farthest along I believe. At least that's the one I played last. IIRC It has the latest planet unlocked. I don't know where it stands quest wise.

The ones with Levi / Nora / Monique / Mossywolf / Morgaine in their name are ones collected from the trials in tainted space forums. I can't comment on any of their progress.
