Ive been following this depressing thread for a long time and just wanted to voice my own opinion here.
I like futa, its my favorite content.
Its still shit in TiTs 90% of the time. Like they cant even do that right most of the time.
Want to get impregnated? Heres like 5 characters that can breed you and most of them are either total jerks, a racist, or they technically are just putting eggs in you.
Im sorry did you want more characters like Syri that have believable proportions and arent sentient dicks attached to a barely sentient body? Understood, heres another giant creature of a woman with an hourglass body, hips as wide as the pacific, breasts the size of moons, and a dick the size of a titanic that somehow fits into you as though it were a pencil without any complaint.
And heaven forbid you want some kind of relationship and not a poly futa fuck fest with a bunch of other weird creatures.
Like, I even like full furry content. I like big dicks! But for fucks sake can we at least occasionally add something I wouldnt run away from in real life? I sometimes feel like when playing TiTs that Im living in some weird artists personal fetish world where all his deformed inflation balloon fetish characters are all you get.
My point in all this being: If you dont like futa content youre screwed. If you do like futa content theres like a handful of encounters I think are even any good. Im still revisiting scenes they wrote a decade ago because nothing new has been any good by comparison.

Can't disagree, the issue is the content itself (or rather how repetitive the tropes, writing & descriptions are) and thus goes beyond the whole futa thing. It's not even exciting when one likes futa generally speaking.
Tits has always had a ton of futa but generally there's more female than either of the genders. The thing for me is if you make a romance or at least a character I'll be down for the content anyway. It's the reason I started playing futa PCs in this game.
It's just on top of there being like a non stop dick/poly brigade for over a year there hasn't been a proper relationship (or even an attempt at a facsimile of one) in like a year or more.
Maybe Mitch and technically Dizzy. That's rather dire. Just, as you put it, 'sentient dicks and barely sentient dicks', who exist for a random scene or two with you and/or their lover. How in the world did this shift happen?
I think part of it is due to Patreon and general funding.
Hear me out, cause I know that sounds weird.
In CoC1 we had unquestionably non-con content. In TiTs and CoC2, questionable content like that has either had to be removed or smoothed over into a gray area.
Now why does that matter? Because in the process they essentially had to remove the concept of monogamy or any kind of sex negativity. In order for what happens to you after losing a fight to still be consensual, you effectively have to be down bad for any and all sex at all times like an addict. No matter who or what, part of you obviously wants it and consents to it, in the writers eyes at least.
This changes the whole overall culture of the universe to basically everyone being poly and pansexual.
For any of you who doubt this, I urge you to try and play a character who maintains their virginity and only ends up having sex with one character - one perhaos they want to be romantic with. When you approach the game this way youll quickly realize you are bombarded with constant offers with sex at every opportunity and the game barely even considers the fact you might not be interested. It just takes it for granted that every player either wants as much dick shoved into them as possible at every moment, or wants to shove their dick in every half sentient life form you come across.
And there is almost no thought given to a more restricted playstyle.

I am 50/50 on futa so I didn't really care that its everywhere HELL I usually pick the futa option cause I know its gonna get the MOST options, but yeah totally agree like why must most of the options for Preg are total no go's? or like the absolute WORST people. One BIG thing I hate is that if you go a taur character you get locked out of like most SEX content!
(Though I don't mind the thiccness part though but to be far I do like hyper sizes HELL one of the first things I did was make myself HUNG like I can't really use it at ALL anymore cause its to BIG XD so its pretty funny like that though TBH)

Myrellion is easily the worst planet indeed, it's the 1 people tend to rush to get it over with & then never return. There isn't too much content either, just a bunch of insect & egg stuff and otherwise nothing relevant, there isn't even a crew member to recruit there afaik.
It's also a prime example that some of the authors think they are intellectual literates who are such great writers that they can combine smut with social commentary and lectures, based on the most simplistic and uninformed takes on war. ^^'
Funny thing, that. IIRC the original plan as was initially envisioned was a very clear black and white red aggressor gold defender deal with none of those odd fascism fetishizing undertones. I can't remember who the writer ended up being but whoever it was turned what was a simple conflict into something it's nearly impossible to care about.
I'd say it still has a few NPCS worth visiting. But really I just go there for sometimes Emmy and a tube of GaloMaxx and get out of there.
I can totally buy that the confines of the new platform putting shackles on the nature of encounters and morphing the game as a result.
But I can't say it's inherently a bad thing as TiTS frames it's world(s) differently and there are still plenty of NPCs on every planet (not Dhaal) that are or become MCsexual. Like you're not going down to Canadia and seeing Ushamee just banging any diving onto any available sex partner.
It's just lately it's getting a bit more aggressive with swinging, dicks, and swinging dicks. The gameplay improvements are pretty substantial though. Taur and Naga suits? Pretty damn good. It's almost good enough for me to stop going galotian nearly every run. Gameplays getting pretty elaborate and I like that bit of polish. But damn it, my kingdom for just one more romance.
Oh I do 100% agree Myrellion has some decent NPCs, it's just that they are kinda wasted and the content with them goes nowhere and is usually super limited. 1 example of that would be the scout (with the 2 wives), she gets a super expansive introduction scene & then basically nothing, even though she is part of some quest stuff and whatnot.
In regards to Taur & Naga suit, while ofc being technically very much warranted additions, I still wanna point out that never would have been a thing had they handled those 2 body modifications properly. Had they either never brought them into the game to begin with - or followed through and made it mandatory for the writers to account for them and offering alternative scenes for Nagas and Taurs - having such a roundabout way of making up for the fact a full playthrough as Taur or Naga means missing out on large chunks of content and entire NPCs by default would not have been needed. So I kinda don't feel like the Devs deserve credit for providing a half-assed fix for a major problem their lack of professionalism and discipline created in the first place.
Funny you mention the giant futas, because there was a time Fen himself was tired of them.
Hyper has always been an issue in the development of TiTS. Fen himself is very into hyper content so TiTS always had that going on, but it got so bad there was a point Fen was burnt out and straight up not updating the game anymore due to the fact that he was completely sexually desensitized to any and all content in the game. When you write your 50th giant dick futa with moon tits and ocean hips, it gets old even for the one guy who loves that content so much. So each one has to be more insane than the last to even make Fen feel anything lmao.
The entire thing, just as nonesuch said is a clown operation. Savin's CoC2 fared better for the first few years but also went to shit with terrible update pacing and lack of content. It seems leadership and ability to plan just aren't common skillsets for extreme smut writers, who do not see the sun and hang around in the weirdest corners of the internet (pot, kettle, whatever).

Sera is my favorite character from TiTS and it sucks nonesuch never really wrote any expansions for her. Damn. I wish the dude at least wrote for CoC 2 or something.The majority of these things aren't variables that matter to be fair. Like the system that allows them is complex but in regards to interactivity and things the story actually cares about
None of this really matters outside of the specific characters they interact with. Very few characters intersect given that most of them are literally planets apart.
- Who is on good terms with the PC
- Who is on bad terms
- What kind of SSTDS do they have
- NPCS and plot progression
- Kids
- Who birthed
- Genital and gender configuration

Fen didn't decide to do that. Fen promised Savin he could make the sequel and Savin went on to make the sequel.
As for how this worked out for this game?
This was what was in the announcement for CoC2. Obviously we have the benefit of hindsight to know that's full of shit. Wsan, Franks, technically SKoW and Gardeford, Savin himself, and realistically B himself either slowed down their contributions dramatically on TiTS or left it altogether. William cross wrote and then started hitting porn developer burnout. Nonesuch was AWOL for a while to work on Cloud10 but seems back now so that's something. Maybe.
It was only after a huge fucking chunk of writers bled out that Fenoxo admitted to himself being burned out. Then you had that nightmare of a JS conversion where all updates practically stopped for half a year.
William also has been AWOL in both the forums and the Patreon so who knows what's happened to him.
Nonesuch's last submission after coming back was back in April. Also thought I saw him in one of the release comment sections so let me see if I can't find what he's up to-

Engine conversion isn't the sole reason sure. But it's a pretty big one. Another rather big factor is the number of community writers that ended up disappearing into the nether. Who can even say why (out of many potential reasons that is) that happened. But, it happened so all that free unpaid contribution is gone.
Honestly, keeping tabs on TiTS tends to come with more pain as the years pass.
This entire year has been miserable for things I'm interested in and have recently finally unsubed. It's just been dicks (either male or futa) or threesomes. 2. Why is the communities responsibility to write? You can't claim its some community driven open game development when at the same time youre heavily restricting what people can do to it. CoC1 was at least moddable from the getgo, so you could at least claim that back then. But now? The fact is its a product. One you want to make money off of where possible. Improve the damn quality yourselves or properly open things up.

On a more serious note, i do wish the futas were more normally proportioned. It's pretty depressing that fucking Savin is the only writer that i can think of that actually writes futas with dicks shorter than 10 inches. Also i hate muscle futas, the entire point of futas for me is that it's a chick with a dick, not a muscly guy with tits. Give more soft curvy futas with reasonably sized dicks, plz.
