If I recall correctly, they made statements to the effect that they'd continue adding side content and such after the main planets were done, but were trying to wrap up the main story. With how dedicated their fanbase is, I could see them trying to keep things going for another few years based solely off adding random side content and trying up other loose ends like you mentioned.

Do the quest for Nievre to collect red myr blood, wait for a bit, talk to the doctor behind her about Velika, tell him she did a good job. You'll find her in the bar in Uveto.
