Hey,

So I've been trying to play a few games, but I keep getting tripped up because apparently my computer REALLY doesn't like them... notably: Lust Man Standing, Frosh Life, Timestamps, Two Sides. What happens when I try to start them is they'll come up just fine... but then they're SLOOOOOOW.

What I've got:

Dell Optiplex all-in-one type
Windows 7 Pro
Pentium G630
4 GB RAM
64bit
464 GB HD (probably sold as 500 gb, but you know how it goes, we got this computer used), of which there's 269 GB free space
DirectX 11 (but I keep getting error messages about updating DX when I start a Renpy game)

So... halp? Or am I stuck with Ren'py stuff? Which I don't mind but I'd like the *ability* to play other stuff at least...

Cheers!

Can't help you, but I played a few Unity games on a pc with lower specs than yours.
What is your video card? Any other software running while you play the games?

On a side note, I think your hard disk is perfectly fine; it's just a matter of units of measurement (decimal VS binary):
500 gigabytes = 500/(1.024^3) gibibytes ≅ 465 gibibytes
Similarly, the size of a DVD is:
4.7 billions of bytes = 4.7 gigabytes = 4.7/(1.024^3) gibibytes ≅ 4.38 gibibytes

Video card? Lemme check... and as for other software: usually just Chrome, browsing forums or Reddit or whatever.
As far as I can tell it's only running integrated graphics? I don't see any video card noted.
