Identify Trying to recall game based on setting

I'm trying to find a game in which you (male protagonist) at least for part of the game are at a party with a I believe she was a blonde woman. At this party the woman's parents are there and she introduces you to them and you go off and talk to the mom later.

I also think I recall there being something your character is trying to investigate at this party involving some of the party attenders it was a high society/rich people party/ball
