So in the game you're a girl, and your princess is kidnapped, the game was 2dcg and had really good art. I remember there being a feature with fairies and there was spirits/bosses on different levels you had to beat or lose to for a defeat scene. The game starts in a kingdom and it's medieval, I'm pretty sure the mc has pink hair though this may be a red herring. The next scene is you or someone else storming the castle of the thing holding the princess and getting sent back to your city, and then you have to defeat all the bosses and their levels to progress back to the castle holding the princess.
