Trying to remember a game where before the story MC's ex left with their daughter, I think due to him being an alcoholic, and he hadn't seen either since. Want to say he was ex-military as well, which led to the alcohol, but may not be remembering that right. Years later he gets a sudden invitation from daughter to come visit since the ex is away, starts to reconnect with her while pretending to be her boyfriend as a cover, kind of a reverse Dating My Daughter in terms of who's visiting who. Ex was unseen character, and in more recent updates there were...I think two friends of daughter's you met, and some sort of caretaker at her house.
