VN - Ren'Py - Tune in to the Show [Ep. 9] [RobertDeadth]

I didn't make it pas the first tour of the house. The dialog was just mind numbingly dull. I'm all for characters having meaningful conversations and growing the relationships instead of just jumping straight to lewd scenes, but the dialog has to be interesting and this one missed the mark by a mile on that.

The modeling of the game characters is excellent. Each character has their own unique features. Besides, the clothing styles of the characters and the setting of the scenes are also very good. However, there are relatively few animated and interactive scenes related to sexual content, which is somewhat disappointing.

⠀⠀⠀Our MC, a random bloke from the streets, get invited by a TV celebrity to her office, gets his dick sucked (for research purposes), gets ordered to fuck 6 more women for a month, all the while living in a villa in the remote location completely free of charge. This sounds like he took a blue pill and is having a nice wet dream inside a simulation.
⠀⠀⠀Premise is ridiculous, what's up with all of this TV sex show bullshit? What kind of TV would even feature explicit sex scenes anyways? I mean it is later revealed that this is not all what it seems, but why is nobody asking questions? This whole setup seems sus af.
⠀⠀⠀Characters are boring, and their dialogue is a bunch of small talk, casual 'normie' conversations, rants about cheese and other random shit, compliment exchange and sweet nothings. I don't really understand their motivations either, except for maybe MC. They do get paid, but suddenly applying for a sex show for the money doesn't seem plausible. Especially for women and ESPECIALLY for these women. You would imagine they all would be some sort of sluts or attention cravers, but what do we have here: shy 18 y/o with strict parents, a tired school teacher, a diligent uni graduate, a bored streamer, a rich lady and a business woman. They're not exactly struggling financially and are all single but it's probably not the best idea to look for a partner in a TV reality show with only one guy. I kinda liked Da-eun, but the rest are just so mid.
⠀⠀⠀Too much exposition (or TMI): author likes to explain in detail every little thing, when we don't really need to know all that stuff. The script is super bloated with mountains of boring text on irrelevant topics that could absolutely be omitted.
⠀⠀⠀Sex scenes are short, have poor animations that do get better eventually and only last for a single frame of text (only in the first 3 episodes), feature awkward not very sexy talk, few poses and camera angles. No SFX too.
⠀⠀⠀The music is too generic and renders are often too bright/oversaturated.

It's not that bad, very mid all around so 3/5 would probably more fair, but personally I've began skipping text way too early for that.

Lets look at the very start where it tells you, you are in full controle of who you want to be with and do sexual shit with......and then it freaking forces some crazy bimbo bitch on you before game even starts? whaaaaat the fuck.... could a game start up in a more idiotic way? considering what the intro promiss.....fuck me.....

Its like theres put 0 effort into the story and this is just the first few mins....
A simple no fuck off crazy bitch would be a very simple button to make and since it was not in any way needed story wise its brainless not to add that one "no" button....even more so after a saying game is all about choices.....

But i guess its a sure way to make people stop playing right from the start if they arent into forced shit, so hats off to you dev great move.....

It also kills the MC from the get go for alot of people, he has a boner from just talking to the crazy woman? yeah no clue why...then hes fine with getting a BJ since he thinks shes a bombshell, where i thought she was an old ugly bimbo....so yeah game did everything it could to get me to not like it and if thats what you get within the first 2 mins of a supposed choice driven novel then i gotta say thanks but no thanks.

As for the hole "mystery" part of the story feels flat and dosent really add much to anything.

Why do devs think having MCs with a 12 year old mindset is good? i mean what age group do they aim for when doing that? people who arent old enough to get a credit card so they can support the game? blows my mind...

Then theres the none stop forced replys to questions where MC says shit i wouldent, making it feel very very kinetic for the main story line, choices rarely matters outside the "want girl yes/no"
And its done in such a weird way, you can pick the worst choice with any girl every single time and yet they end up just asking if you want sex....its just to wierd and to stupid.

As for the girls they look ok but its mostly big tits which im not really into, only went for Maya since shes more normal size but atleast i could go after one, but overall the diversity in builds are lacking so its a failure for people like me that dosent have a big tit fetish.

Animations are pretty decent.

Music is alright as well, its nothing special like lyrics and such but its alright.

Maube this hole big brother feeling has just been done to much so it would have to be really special to have a chance to become a great game and i just dident feel like this was that.

At the beginning, this game was so good.

Now it's sad to see that it's turning into a fuckfest. If you reject someone, they will act like you slept with them a thousand times in the later updates.

Another thing completely thrown out of the window, the two shy girls suddenly for no apparent reason they turn wild and 180 degrees, seriously.

After so much buildup and knowing each one personally, I don't know anything anymore.

Episode 8

I was kinda torn between 3 and 4 stars, since my overall review would be somewhere around 3.5/5, but ultimately decided for 3.

Why? Well.. story is rather average. Nothing shockingly good, but nothing bad either. There is the TV show, there is a mystery surrounding whole thing, and somewhere in between that is building relationships with the girls. Althought I must say, with all those rooms presented so far I don't think that "the mystery" can be explained without using some kind of supernatural powers.

Another thing is, the dialogues could be a bit better. Not gonna complain much, but I can see some oddities here and there, like for example using phrase "nude pussy" in latest update. I'm not native speaker myself, but wouldn't the correct expression be "bare pussy" or maybe even "naked pussy"? I'm not 100% sure, but sometimes the game sounds a bit weird like this.

Now, going to the models, they are mostly okay and sexy enough. But here also lies another reason for lower grade, and I don't mean that overall quality is bad. Sure, I've seen some bad renders, when during 3 poses of the same character in the same scene the MIDDLE render had light coming from completelly different direction or an earring suddenly going missing during one sex scene, but in most part this is good enough.
Except saggy boobs. Let me tell you this, I've seen arguments "this is porn game, expect porn game logic" used to justify some questionable things and I usually did not agree with it. But in this case, I'm gonna use this argument in reverse - this is porn game, you can have bigger breasts which will NOT sag.

Who am I talking about? Well, it's kinda visible for Da-Eun, but better case study would be Vivian. When she's naked, her tits look awful, really awfull. In some shots it even looks like they are intentionally flattened like it would be while wearing clothes, but this is her naked! And also this very bad sag IGNORES GRAVITY. During her massage scene there were shots where she lied horizontally on the MC. In that pose here breast should lie on his back, but instead they were still sagging like if she was standing. Please change her model.

Oh, and another thing about sex scenes. It feels kind of weird that everyone always ask for everything. Can I touch here, can I kiss, can I take it out, can I lick? I mean... I know you need consent to sex, but this is way too much. There are some things you just know how to do, you don't need to ask for every little things. And while normally characters seem rather assertive, having everyone always ask kinda breaks them. I'd understand inexperienced Maya, but not everyone, not every time. They're supposed to be experienced, ale least some of them, because it isn't only Mc's problem.

And I remembered yet another thing. There was a moment, when two women came to MC's room and they literally said something like "we need to satisfy our urges", and then they jerked him off together and went back to their rooms to sleep. Not even a touch of the pussy for a second. Really weird situation.

At the end of this day, this might deserve higher, but reviews are subjective and this loses all possible stars just because Katherine is not a love interest and won't be in the harem. She has so much content, but that will all just go to waste, why even have so much content, if iflt will go nowhere. Next Why add her to the banner front and center, that gives false hope on her importance and her being a main girl. Just makes me sad and letdown, cause I loved this game.

The story is solid, it has a lot of intrigue, the girls are great, but it's hard to focus on them, knowing they get a happy ending while one gets left out.

The renders are amazing and look great. Writing is top tier. Mystery is nice and leaves you wanting more.

Overall solid game, I wish I could continue to play, but unfortunately won't cause Katherine will get no happy ending, which is the most tragic thing, just sad and disappointed. Part of me wants to go lower on the score but I am trying to be fair here.

Wow I was kinda going into this for the H-scenes but I'm invested now

Reviewing as of Ep. 8 BUGFIX

Pros:

• The renders and character models are extremely well done
• The BGM tracks are different and unique
• There are multiple romance routes to take between the 6+ girls
• The story is awesome with a mysterious undertone that gets stronger every day
• There is a gallery
• Around 4-5 hours to complete if you read and actually enjoy the VN

Cons:

• As acknowledged by the dev, the earlier scenes are of less quality. I hope one day they go back and polish them.
• There's no SFX or VA during the H-scenes which could have been nice
• Sometimes the talking gets too much but I get the dev trying to build as much character into each person as possible

Conclusion:

I highly recommend playing this game. You may not like it as much if you are here strictly for the H-scenes. I recommend you take your time and enjoy the VN and let the H-scenes come naturally.

Excelent novel. Lighthearted, with some mystery while keeping it simple. I appreciate that doesn't weight 1TB unlike other games. Enjoy all the girls, just wish the other guy had a more positive relationship with his wife, maybe give him some advice to salvage his marriage. Truly, I'm dying to see more about this VN and the dev.

I don't know if there has been a comment like this before, but I still find it nice that you're not forced to hit with every girl and I'm curious when the full release comes out if there will be multiple endings or alternative routes like you make the show fail, or something like that

A once promising game that has fallen off in terms of quality of writing, story beats, and overall love interests.

The women are beautiful, but this game is just, flawed. The plot moves at a strange pace, you are forced to do a lot of things that aren't fucking the girls, which is weird, because the whole premise was that they wanted you to fuck as many girls as possible.

The girls are also too into you from the start, the characters that actually push back a little are my favorite, the ones declaring their love or want a future with you seem a bit over the top, where the girls asking for simple one night stands or friendship first is ten times better.

I don't think it's a bad game at all, it just didn't live up to the hype I had for it after episode 1.

The game has a nice interesting story and some cute and/or sexy LIs (some even look great). They seems to have their own distinct personalities which is also good. I like harem/romance games (including some virgins here is a very nice bonus) as well. I also like that many LIs have brown eyes and hair, it's very sexy and underrepresented in AVNs from what I've seen.

There are some things that I find a bit annoying, however:

• the MC is a lazy/slothful wimp. He's always tired, terrible at sports, has low confidence, poor communication skills and needs to be more assertive instead of being so passive all the time. He seems scared/cowardly sometimes. His confidence and assertiveness should definitely be growing at this point.
• Dialogue - MC usually gives very short answers (he doesn't usually lead or initiate things it seems) to questions and his most frequent comment seems to be "Fuck", which he says a lot, especially during sex. The most common phrase among all characters seems to be "...so hot..." and is used too frequently IMO. Dialogue in general is a bit wooden and not very interesting, witty or expressive in regards to emotions/feelings.
• I'm not a fan of saggy boobs so Vivian is very disappointing with her saggy boobs that seems to flatly stick to her chest despite their massive size (she would be amazing if not for that). Da-eun is saggy as well but that is because her boobs are too big IMO.
• Diana, the sexiest LI IMO, needs some love! Progress is too slow with her...there are not even any hints of romantic interest between her and MC so far. Hopefully episode 8 fixes that. Maybe we will finally get to see a bit of Maya's body as well, which is more likely to happen if MC grows some balls.
• The sex scenes are a bit cringy and tame at times...people sometimes keep their clothes on, there's a lot of teasing/slow foreplay to the point of being boring at times, people are too tentative and lacking in confidence and MC ends up having to take care of himself at times which is ridiculous considering how many eager women there are (I'm not interested in watching a dude jerk off, I could easily do it myself so watching it in a game is a waste of time).

Overall the game is pretty good, but a bit of cleaning up and it could be very good IMO.

This game has promise, it advertises 7 women, and yet you have to answer interrogating questions by an idiot male who has no place in the story. I don't do this is real life, I'm sure as hell not going to do it in a game. Get him out, the game will be much better. Stop wasting my time.

Lemme start by saying the premise of this VN is great. It has a really solid mystery, even had me taking a little bit of notes for suspicious behavior because I wanted to try and figure out things before they happened.

The start is super unrealistic, escalates super fast, already leaving a questionable impression on you. The characters are absolutely gorgeous though, they have great bodies, a little bit heavy in the assets but eh to each their own.

I really really dig the story and trying to figure out what happens and thats the main reason I continued playing this. It isn't HUGELY focused on it but its brought up enough to keep my attention to it. If it wasnt for that, I would have probably dropped the game and heres why.

Animations leave alot to be desired, they are just generic loops, they got better as time went on, but still just generic loops, not a whole lot of motion in them. I'm not gonna shame the dev on this specifically but just putting it here for review sake, I know animations are very difficult and time consuming to make. Just dont expect a lot, they are carried more by the appeal of the characters.

The pillow talk in this game leaves a whole whole lot to be desired, I cant even read it because it annoys me lol. (Sorry Dev) If I hear "thats hot" anymore I'm gonna go mad. It sounds like a bunch of highschoolers experiencing their first time. Also when the MC says "I should take charge" and starts to hes always immediately stopped and directed what to do.It feels unintended but makes him come across as a massive submissive type because he never is allowed to lead. It's always a back and forth of expressly and bluntly telling the MC exactly what they want and he just follows even if he declares he should be more dominant in that moment. Never makes a choice of his own really.

Choices eh, there arent really any, its just Yes or No. Anything else is usually just flavor choice that I could only guess may have a little thing later based on what you picked but I have no idea. Not exactly a bad thing but its mostly just linear with stop breaks to be like "do you want this person Y/N?"

Dialogue leaves alot to be desired too because it feels like everyones just way too eager and understanding for everything. Outside the main plot of the game everyones just completely open and interested in every single thing especially if its relative to the MC. Theres not much drama or tension, its too much of a paradise for the MC in a way. Diane is the only character that sometimes feels a little more realistic, but everyone else is about as simple as can be. Can tie this into characters too outside their overall personality they're as simple as can be, they almost feel too similar at times. The eagerness and openness is almost like a toxic fume to everyone so they have very minor traits that they act on (ie da-eun not being sporty, or evalyn being older) outside those small details they're all similar in how they approach and handle things. Usually sexual in nature and wanting the MC's attention but without doing anything to stand out more against the others.

Sorry probably one of my harsher reviews and I feel bad because as said I really do enjoy a good mystery and the main plot of this story is something I really enjoy but aside from that theres alot of negatives that I'm trying to be fair with.

Just some suggestions, A lot of the filler text could be cut, especially pillow talk, theres no reason every character has to sound like a horny virgin teenager saying every single action is "hot." in example:
<pulls her closer> "Thats hot" "I know right?" "so will you touch yourself?" "yeah" "thats hot"
The sexual flavor text could be halved and still accomplish the same goal. None of the characters are remarkable or different from others, Maya is shy, Diane is rigid, Viviane is sporty, Evalyn is older, Richard is married, Da-eun is a school teacher, Ayaka is a streamer. I cannot tell you beyond that what sets apart each of them aside from physical traits, theres a little backstory section but attitude and personality wise they dont really differ at all as stated above. Some more depth, or drama even would go a long way. Maybe focusing on the main story would even be a better play than forcing these awkward interactions between the characters. Oh and the characters constantly reminding the MC that they like him is a bit overboard too. It feels like every exchange with someone they have to remind that they like MC out of nowhere.

I like the concept. There is a lot of dialogue and some of it really does drag on. However it still keeps me somewhat entertained. The biggest drawback for me is the animations, they are way behind the curve compared to a lot of other modern AVNs. But I'll keep following this one to see how it ends eventually.

This VN makes Ayn Rand's literary works look like a brief summary on WikiHow. It's incredibly bloated, with the writer's presumed strategy being that of "Quantity has a quality of its own".
Every single scene is over-written. You will hear the MC's internal dialogue about everything. It's absolutely infuriating. Imagine a typical scene where one of the LIs enters the room.
*Forgettable woman comes in.* Hello MC.
MC: "Hello, forgettable woman."
MC's thoughts: Wow, I can't believe forgettable woman came in.
FW: "Are you ready?"
MC: "Yes."
MC's thoughts: Of course I'm ready. Why would forgettable woman ask me that? I wonder if she knows I'm ready.
FW: "Okay, I was just checking in."
MC: "Alright"
MC's thoughts: She's just checking in. I guess I should double-check that I'm ready. Good thing forgettable woman came in to make sure I'm ready.

^^ this is the quality of writing. There are very few MCs more punchable than the one in this game. I can't root for him. The 'reality show' angle is clearly a social experiment in seeing how mentally handicapped people interact in a closed environment.

The premise is more interesting than the execution. The writing is... Fine. Just bland. The lewd scenes in particular feel very formulaic, they all hit pretty much the same beats with no real variation. Also the animations are off-puttingly wooden and jerky, for the most part.

Game version: Ep. 6

It's kind of sad to rate this game with only 2 stars, but there's so much potential getting wasted, it's completely deserved in my opinion.
First of, the story is boring af. I found myself skipping through the most parts of the game, because the dialoges are so bland and even feel redundant at times. Just like somebody here else wrote already it feels like all the text lines are just an excuse for the lewd stuff in this game.
And while the still images/ renders are great, the scenes/ animations are not. They are stiff, anything but smooth. You can easily recognise the end of each loop, there is no transition.
So if even the "rewards" for trudging through the lines of boring text were unsatisfiying, what other reason would there be to continue? Nothing.

Ep.6
I see a common consensus in the reviews saying the dialog is bad, and while it's nothing special it's no where near how bad dialog can get in these projects. If this was the worst writing a VN could have I wouldn't be so picky about them. Honestly, the worst thing about this VN is that it is a harem-ish focused story. While it would take waaaay more effort, I think choosing favorites and causing drama/jealousy would be infinitely more compelling than having every girl just collectively agree they want to fuck and be okay with sharing. After all, that's what the opening pitch was. Sex and drama.
The girls are varied and hot. The renders are good. Most music isn't distracting. All around a pleasant playing experience!
Now, the part I found the most interesting was the mystery in the story. This is again hampered by the harem/porn style of plot, but I love me a good conspiracy mystery especially if it's got a lot of moving parts. This is, again, where more work would result in incredible results. Not only being able to choose who you want to actively pursue, but choosing who you actively suspect? In a reality TV game show? This would be a five star game no questions asked.
The idea for this game is so solid and the execution is pretty good so overall I think it's one of the better VNs! I enjoyed it a lot.
