I realise the dev hates this site, but for what it's worth buddy I did buy it because Steam literally won't advertise it to me.
The only reason I found out about it was checking Latest on here, trying it, and liking it enough to throw money at it. :lepew:
This.
I've been saying it from the start that it was a mistake to start a war here because I know many people (myself included) would give money for a game if they liked it a lot. Spitting on your customers like he did probably lost him a LOT of potential customers. That's a shitty business practice if you ask me...

just wait, you can play through 1 round.
After that, keep your hands off^^ and wait or, if necessary, only when it's finished^^

On one hand, as someone who pirates games so I don't get tricked by trailers and demos I know how I operate and I will buy anything I like enough and get my value out of. On the other hand, I fully understand being protective of something they spent a good chunk of time into and being worried about not making the time and money investment back.

The only objection I have is being that aggressive about it. Not every pirate is a lost sale, and at worst if they don't buy it but they like it they'll tell other people. It's not the explicit purpose of this forum but it does serve that purpose as well.

My biggest issue is buying shit off dl-site with their fake currency you can't refund. I need to pirate a game first so I know I'm not going through international transaction nonsense (thanks Visa) for nothing.

I think a lot of it has to do with how some producers of content conflate "pirated copy" with "would be sale."

Which has been in the US court of law which many law systems have been formed off of, been proven with precedent to be groundless and false. This is not to claim that it doen't impact sale or the legality of piracy, but the magnitude of the impact is questionable at best. The fallout of those cases was mildly entertaining with a number of the musicians/music labels losing quite a bit of their fan base for taking part in anti-consummer rhetoric and actions.

Now this doesn't stop some xenophobic eastern developers from sharing that opinion, which is definitely a groan moment. Don't they know I just really want to be able to play Vanillaware games on PC?

Vanillaware makes me sad, were they not strictly console-based I would have bought all their games and gifted them to people who I know would love them as much as I do. Buuut they're on Switch and PS. Ain't giving Nintendo or Sony money. :/

The first part left a positive impression. Just from the screenshots of the game I don’t see any new mechanics, even the interface is the same. Can anyone name the main differences and improvements in this version, or has nothing changed except the main character and opponents?
