I actually like this one too. The question is why bothering doing another game that's literally the same of the previous one instead adding more enemies. Not having puppies is also a downgrade.

Doing another equal game just shows laziness and all red flags of scam. But who am I to judge, since I never gave 1 cent to this dev, unlike others that don't make these kind of moves.

Unrelated. Why is the game so big? It is bigger than the prior/first game and content wise it only has a few mobs/one stage. Where is all that file size going?

Placeholders? Unused assets? Uncompressed assets because it's work-in-progress version?

i enjoyed this, sadly only one stage "street".

Thanks to Karabas Barabas pointing me at this game, here's a patch you can try

Replaces the obfuscated JS with deobfuscated versions, removes the encryption on the data files (Note: Only for v0.3.1a, does not decrypt the images)

Additional notes:

• Don't add a file called code.txt in the game's folder, otherwise it makes the rat fights near impossible (20 keys in 2 seconds)
• Switch 315 is a debug switch
• There's code there for a "special edition" locked behind switch 313

What firewall are you using if its standard windows firewall they flag things mainly zip/rar files as unsafe from even legit websites as well. Click the floating text and hit run anyway but this being Elzee I Dunno.

Just chrome's built in one I guess, it stops at the browser when it finishes downloading.
I've only gotten it maybe once or twice on other games' downloads

I think a lot of it has to do with how some producers of content conflate "pirated copy" with "would be sale."

Which has been in the US court of law which many law systems have been formed off of, been proven with precedent to be groundless and false. This is not to claim that it doen't impact sale or the legality of piracy, but the magnitude of the impact is questionable at best. The fallout of those cases was mildly entertaining with a number of the musicians/music labels losing quite a bit of their fan base for taking part in anti-consummer rhetoric and actions.

Now this doesn't stop some xenophobic eastern developers from sharing that opinion, which is definitely a groan moment. Don't they know I just really want to be able to play Vanillaware games on PC?

Shame Vanillaware games have no pc ports...

At least you can use an emulator to play them console games like PCSX2 RPCS3 etc.
